Chapter-1

In a dark apartment of a two story building adam is sitting beneath his bed with a beer bottle in his left hand.

He starts Swinging the beer bottle in a circular motion with his fingers and stares at a black gem type looking stone in his right hand.

"You better not betray me..." He spoke with a sad tone.

I am Adam. I don't have a family, well to say I had a step sister but she left the house as soon as she became one of the awakened ones. I've got 6 month's of apartment rent and electricity bills pending, that's why it's dark in my room.

I need money. Now this stone will decide my fate wether i will live a glorious life or die like a mere dog.

This is a 'Trial Stone'. 10 years ago 'A Dimensional Gate' appeared and monsters with unimaginable power started coming out of it. That day humanity fell on the bottom of food chain. That's when trial stone was given to the choosen humans but nowadays it can be found very commonly.

The gate connected infinity of realm's together. Everything you can think of has a possibility of existing inside that gate.

This gate opens only for 24 hours in 365 days.

Anything or Anyone can come and go through it on that day. Awakened humans came together and made different groups to explore different realms inside the gate but only 5 of them succeeded in making their names to stand on the top.

They are {The Survivers}, {The Hunters}, {The gurus}, {Age of Discovery} and last one is like a lost legend no one ever saw anyone from this group but some believe that they exist inside the gate and they are {The Hell kings}

When it first appeared some scientists and some awakened with military forces entered inside the gate. I think about 300 humans entered inside the gate but only 3 made it back to the earth. That's a whopping 100x deathrate.

The once who made it back were totally afraid as if there is hell inside but 1 of them found out a rare material that made him billionaire.

That's exactly my goal but i can't enter the gate as they only permit awakened humans to travel through the gate now.

Well, back to the topic...

This stone will represent you with a trial to complete and then it will decide your potential to grow as an awakened according to your performance in the trial.

Potential tiers are Low, Medium, High, Master, Transcendent, Supreme, Grandmaster and God.

"Now you better give me an easy trial...i just want the medium tier nothing else okay...?" He smiled on himself after saying that.

Adam suddenly dropped the beer bottle causing it to break on the floor. He then picked a small glass fragment and used it to cut his hand slowly causing it to bleed.

Adam's crimson blood fell on the trial stone causing it to glow with an eye blinding light.

Suddenly his consciousness faded away.

[Your Trial will begin now.]

[Survive and complete the trial to get your awakening rank.]

Adam opened his eyes and saw a blurred view of bars made out of metal.

"Huh...? Where am I ?" He asked himself.

Adam looked around a bit more and found himself in a cage made out of some unknown metal. He felt like an animal who is being held up in a cage like a slave.

He then noticed that there are others like him too. Three girls and 1 boy who looked shady from his face.

Adam then turned around to observe his surroundings and to find out why is he in a cage.

Trials are never the same...they are different for everyone.

Adam quickly noticed that he is in a type of cave but not a very good one it looked as if it can crumble into pieces any movement now.

Suddenly he heard some voices coming towards his direction. Without making any sudden movements he turned his head slowly towards the voice source.

"Hey please just one round we can take one round each no one will know."

"No, you idiot they are merchandise and virgin slaves are the most important in my job i won't let you spoil them."

"Hey come on just one girl for 10 minutes please."

"No, now go and do what i hired you for."

"Fuck man..you are no fun."

Adam immediately understood that he is also a slave from their talk.

'It's dark in the cave and campfire is going on...i think it's night outside. So this is my Trial, I have to kill these bastards and free myself from this cage. Not a very hard quest but not an easy one also--'

As Adam was thinking about it suddenly some words appeared in his mind.

[Your Trial will begin in 3:59:58]

'What ?' he thought inwardly.

'Does that mean this is not my real Trial ? Is it giving me some time to prepare myself for the trial or to free myself from this cage before the trial begins ? WTF ?'

'Well let's not think too seriously about it right now. I have to see my skill and other stats to see if i can even survive this Trial.'

'So how do I look at my skills and other attributes. Is there a status here ?"

As soon as he thought about status some words appeared in his mind.

I have a blue skill and nothing else. That's not a very good sign but since it's a blue skill i can't complaint too much. Let's see what you can do.

Skill Cards, monster Cards, weapon Cards and material Cards are ranked from green to all the way up to platinum.

Green > Blue > Yellow > Orange > Red > Purple > Gold > Platinum.

These cards can be obtained when you kill monsters in gates.

Adam focused on the skill and suddenly a blue card appeared in his mind with description about the particular skill written on it.

[Vibration]

[Everything can be destroyed with continuous vibration if you find a crack in that thing but it will give an equal and opposite reaction on user's body.]

What does that even mean ? Is it a combat type skill or a survival type or is it a magic type skill ? Give me some more in the description.
