The two men only stared at her, which somehow annoyed Mona. Their silence speaks volumes, but she was too prideful to acknowledge their meaning. Besides, she was confident in protecting herself in terms of combat or sword fighting.

The Grand Duke coughed and responded, "Well, let's just say you can. But what if the same thing happened and you get kidnapped again?"

"It won't happen again, your grace." She answered stubbornly.

But the Grand Duke only shifted his head to his captain, "Have both of them watch her instead."

Nodding his head, Lionel replied, "I will do so, my lord."

"I'm old enough." She intercepted forcefully. Although she understands the Grand Duke and the captain's worry, she finds having a personal guard a pain in the ass. Also, Mona hates being watched the most. She's afraid of reliving some of her unpleasant memories.

"Twenty-six is still pretty young, my lady," Lionel answered back.
