96. Green Lights

The night sky wasn't littered with stars that night. And the gems that sparkled at the entrance of the palace were a fine substitute to stare at. The temperature had gradually decreased therefore they decided to continue their talks over dinner.

It was already dark when they arrived at the Wynzel dukedom. The butler who introduced himself as Edwin was now leading them to their respective rooms in the west wing of the palace.

Mona was already full enough and wanted to speak with Eli as soon as possible but she remembered that only the three of them were able to eat at the inn before. The Grand Duke and the knights haven't eaten yet.

"This will be your room, my lady." The butler, Sir Edwin, pointed at a double door in their right with delight. He was beaming at her even after their arrival was abrupt. His old face revealed creases when he smiled at her. "Your lady-in-waiting will be staying in the room next to you."
