Side Story (22)

Cassandra sat on the floor. Her head looking up at the bookshelf, eyes scanning every corner, trying to find a way to move the bookshelf. There must be something that should be done, like the stories from the books she read, a hidden lever or puzzle, or maybe a riddle that is yet to be found.

While her imagination ran wild, she decided to push the shelf away from the column but she didn't manage to even move it a bit. She went to the other side and pulled it to the aisle instead, but no matter how strongly she pulled, the shelf remained unmoved from its spot.

The books would only shake from her pulling, but the base of the wooden shelf was glued on the floor as if it would only move if something was activated. She exerted all her strength until she couldn't lift her arms anymore.
