CHAPTER thirteen: Blood pact

Conroy snatched his hands from the vampire king as though it burned and he glared at him, “She does not bear the name Catalina and she is not your wife. She is my mate and my wife-to-be, the Luna of the valerian kingdom!”

Fehr looked at him for a long while before he threw his regal head back in laughter, “You do tell funny jokes Conroy, unlike your father.”

Conroy gritted his teeth and clenched his fist at his side, “I do not tell jokes Fehr. She is my mate. You know how to test the mate bond. Do so and quit your insanity!”

Fehr was losing his mind for Conroy sounded so convincing and as an old vampire, he knew two mates when he saw them without having to do the ritual to test the mate bond. And his Catalina was truly mated to the blood hound.

He hadn’t seen her for a century after she died and now some mate bond wants to take her away from him, not in the slightest chance.
