CHAPTER nineteen: Celebration in Ancientrova

  “Shitty vampires!”

  Conroy kept pacing his room, nursing his wounded pride as thought and discarded ideas on how to leave this forsaken kingdom of the vampires with his mate safely to Valeria. There was something wrong back in Valeria, his wolf has refused to shake off that feeling of foreboding and ominous intuition. And he has tried to mind-link his beta unsuccessfully but one thing was sure to him, he was not going to spend eighty moons in Ancientrova because of some stupid blood pact.

  Just as he kept pacing and growling, it came to his mind that he had not visited his Assassin mate since she was taken into the northern wing. He had felt very uncomfortable and angry when the bastard Fehr had insisted on separating him from his mate and the glint in Fehr’s eyes told him he would hurt Amelia if he didn’t comply.

  Bounding out of the room, he strode down the stone halls closely accompanied by the vampire guard Fehr had stationed outside his chambers.
