  “No...” Conroy stumbled back a few steps, “No, you do not know what you are saying. In fact you are insane for accusing my Beta of such!”

  “I know you might not believe me,” She smiled, the look in her eyes convincing, “Which was why I grabbed Arian’s dagger from the exterminator he hired.”

  She reached into his boots and pulled out a long dagger, which Conroy recognized as Arian’s but it still doesn’t prove anything.

  “You cannot trust a word that rises to the deceitful wench’s mouth!” Arian yelled and quickly grabbed the dagger from her trying to stab her.

  “Stop Arian, let her speak.” Conroy finally said as Arian’s vehemence aroused his suspicion.

  “Your highness,” She bowed her head, “In truth, the Vampire queen had someone infiltrate the castle but Arian apprehended him before he could enact his orders. I saw Arian grab the Missive from the Vampire queen with my eyes and shove it into his tunic.”
