She starts with the trash, the bedroom, and then the living room. By the time she is done, she is already exhausted.
She is about to leave when a voice stops her in her tracks. She recognizes it as Andrew's voice even without turning to face him but she did anyway.
"Good morning Sir." She greeted and his eyes sweep over her body lustfully.
"Come on Mira. Enough with the formalities. Just call me Andrew" He insisted, eyes still trailing her body.
"Employees are not supposed to address their employers by their names or mingle with them. It's considered rude and my paycheck might not survive it"
Andrew stalked towards her. Mira gulped fearfully when she noticed that he was clad in nothing but his bathrobe.
He stood in front of her and tried to touch her folded hands but she flinched. A reflex that reflected her current state of panic.
"It's just me Mira. You don't have to be scared of me."
"I don't want any trouble Sir" she primped trying to get away from him.
"Listen, Mira, I really like you a lot so don't make this harder for both of us. Just give me what I want and I won't bother you anymore."
Mira would've easily punched or kicked him in the groin and escaped but she can't. If she does something despicable and sir Andrew reports her to the manager then she'll be sacked and that's for sure. He knows that he has the upper hand and that's why he's behaving like this with her. Because he could easily get rid of her if she doesn't comply.
As much as he repulsed her, she had to put up with him. This job is her livelihood. That and Casey's future as well.
She's a common girl trying to fend for herself in the big city and even if she tries to look for another job in a different establishment, there's no guarantee that she might get in.
She's a high school dropout with no papers. Plus, she's a single mother, hence, the importance of this job.
"Listen, sir, this is wrong" she pleaded. Trying to see reasons with him.
"I cannot do what you're asking of me. It's against my morals as a woman. Please understand."
Andrew looked amused when she said that. The fact that she's always stubborn and plays hard to get is the same reason why he hasn't given up on her yet.
No one has ever turned him down before. He's wealthy. With a lot of claims to his name. As the only child, he is equally the owner of this resort because it belongs to his parents.
Any girl would kill to have him in bed with her but Mira is just something else. At first, he thought that she was just faking but with time, all his efforts proved to be abortive but then he can't do this anymore. He's going to have her today, no matter who comes short.
"Mira" Her name sounded like wine being tasted on his tongue as he took regal steps towards her.
"Stay away from me!" She warned but he didn't listen as he kept on approaching like a predator stalking its prey till her back hit the wall.
She yelped when she realized that she was stuck with nowhere to run to. Andrew grabbed her waist, caging her to the wall as he tried to force himself on her but Mira struggled to free herself from his grip. Seeing that he had overpowered her, she grabbed the vase next to her and hit him with it. Before he could recover from what just happened, she had already fled out of his suite.

Arnold Alexandro King stepped into the hospital with his daughter's hands firmly holding his.
The bodyguards are trailing behind him as he makes his way towards the doctor's office for Abby's appointment.
Alexandro's hate for doctors and hospitals was on another level, especially after the last experience which involved his late wife Miranda but the only reason he still endures it is because of Abby.
When they arrive, he drops off Abby with her nurse for her routine check-up before proceeding to see the doctor in charge of Abby's case.
The doctor had called in yesterday that he wanted to speak to him concerning Abby's condition and that he comes to the clinic with her as well.
"Good morning Mr. King" The doctor greets the minute he acknowledges Alexandro's presence in his office.
"Mr. Malhotra." Alexandro inclined his head in response to his greeting "You sent for me. Is everything alright? I'd like you to make this quick cause I have a business meeting to attend,"
"Please take a seat" He gestured to the empty seat opposite his table and Alexandro lowers himself on it, after undoing the button on his suit, awaiting the doctor expectantly.
Mr. Malhotra neatly hunged his scrubs on a pole next to his chair before sitting down to face Alexandro.
As much as Alexandro is a frequent and important client in his hospital, Malhotra knows better than to piss the man sitting down in front of him. He has seen firsthand how this man thrashed half the workers in his hospital when he lost his wife. This young billionaire has been through so much. He hardly smiles and the only reason why he's this sane is because of his kids. One wrong move and that's it for him and this hospital.
Everyone calls him the "Cold-hearted beast" and no, it's not just a name. The man actually lives this title.
"It's about Abby" He speaks up but when Alexandro doesn't respond, he takes it as his cue to continue.
"Her condition is deteriorating." He breaks down the news to her "We've tried all coping mechanisms that are required for her treatment but she's refusing to open up. It feels like the more we try, the more she shuts us out."
"And why are you telling me this" Alexandro asks frostily "Isn't that the reason why I pay you to treat her in the first place?" His face had already tightened at that statement.
