CHAPTER 19

  Number 42's POV

I had spent the last few minutes chatting with my wolf while I sniffed each of the individual bottles of scent that Becky had brought into the room. I felt that they were all quite pungent and wondered if I would be able to find any scents that were more natural when she took me shopping.

?I was intrigued by the concept of a mall and my wolf had no idea what a mall was. We both held a shared excitement for the experiences to come.

A light knock at the door commanded my attention before it was opened carefully and Becky's face peeked around the door.

"Luna, Alpha Nathaniel is here." She grinned widely.

I instantly felt my heart lurch and my wolf's excitement went through the roof. I felt nervous again. It was an odd feeling and still felt slightly foreign to me.?

So many years of shutting out emotion had me uncertain of my own feelings. Anything that made me feel happy, I was feeling guilty for. It didn't make sense.
