CHAPTER 59: Mariz’s pawns

  Mariz’s POV

?I look at the girl members whom I gathered for a meeting. “I know that all of you was still recovering but I need everyone’s help,” I opened up and gave them a serious expression.

“We are at your disposal, Ms. Landen,” they said. I sigh and cross my arms.

“I want to know if all the male members of Lily were Mara’s puppet,” I ask. One of them answered.

“Not all of them, Ms. Landen. Those who became cleaners and gardeners were demoted from their position as soon as they disagreed with Ms. Mara’s plan of raising a battle against the house of Rose,” she says. Then another girl speak.

“I know their names and I want to request if we can help them too, Ms. Landen. They are being drugged and starved like us. They are also beaten up and tortured when they decided to help us escape but we are being caught. I hope none of them died yet,” she added. I close my eyes and I feel bad for these people who are good even if they are members of a mafia group.
