CHAPTER 101: One path to the others

  Ezther’s POV

My uncle was giving us death glares. Since we became orphans, he became our guardian, and he has always been a gentle father to us. That’s why we don’t want to stress him, especially because he finally has an aunt and our cousin. Auntie suddenly flicked his forehead. He turns around and faces Auntie Wilma. I want to laugh, but I choose to hide it.

“Ladies, don’t mind your uncle. We are just mad because you didn’t call us, especially when the two of you were admitted to the hospital. A car accident is a serious matter, and we should know about it. Remember that we are your mom and dad now,” aunt Wilma says.

I wonder why her grandfather didn’t like her and drove them away. I look down and remember what Mom says. She’s the one who helps Auntie Wilma and cousin Gwen escape from grandpa’s wrath. I’m glad that they’re safe, and now Uncle will have his happy ending. I know he was sad for the past years. I raise my head and speak.
