　　I went on to tell James everything that Selene had told me and by the end of it, he didn't say a word. His jaw was clenched tightly and his fingers tightened on my waist.


　　”Please say something,” I asked quietly as I placed a hand on his cheek.


　　He leaned into my touch and I breathed out in relief.


　　”Was that what happened earlier, was that Xena and you syncing?”


　　”Somewhat, it wasn't all of it,” I thought about it for a moment before continuing.


　　”In fact, I don’t think that was even a smidge of what awaits,” I didn't know whether to cry or laugh. I nearly hurt a lot of people tonight and thinking that this could happen again brought back some dark memories.


　　My mind drifted. Back to the beginning. Back to when I met James and then Natasha. When Crow entered my mind and all hell broke loose. I had almost hurt James, I tried to hurt him.
