CHAPTER 9.

I walked slowly as I headed back to the pack house. Michael's words still freshly echoing in my head.

The trees around me were dancing from the slightly harsher whips of winds coming in, no animals or insects were buzzing or chirping, and there was still silence hanging over the forest.

My head kept spinning around, a thick layer of fog lay on the top of my head, unable to make out my thoughts yet impossible to ignore.

  ‘Don’t trust anyone’

Could he have spoken about Percy, knowing we had grown closer?

No, I pushed that thought away, whatever Percy and I had wasn’t public knowledge, hell I barely knew what it was.

There wasn’t anyone I trusted, except for maybe Emma but where did she play a part in Michael's carefully phrased warning?

So many questions, so many thoughts causing me headaches on repeat.
