  I was looking at him but also saw the girls behind him looking at each other, unspoken words being shared, and knowing looks and glances thrown between.

  ”You’re clubbing with us tomorrow?” He asked me, his voice suddenly sterner, and the playful joker was wiped off completely. This guy was a rollercoaster of personalities.

  Was that the only question people were able to ask me?

  Nothing about how I've been adjusting, the weather, the horses, nothing except for clubbing, the one question I couldn't answer.

  ”Yo, Dave, let’s go,” Sam said and slammed a hand on Dave's back.

  His eyes were still gazing into mine, something unspoken was screaming behind them, there was something ominous there that I couldn't see and whatever it was I wouldn't get to know.

  Dave turned around, in a nanosecond his joyful spirit was back and he was slapping Sam around.
