CHAPTER 63.

Walking through the woods and past all the warriors was a task in itself. I hadn't been here before so I had no idea who was with Damien and who was on our team. Luckily, Dave knew and it seemed like a lot of the people we passed were actually part of this pack. Damiens warriors were more on the borders and closer to the castle as well as in town to keep everyone in check.

We made our way out onto a patch where several cottages were lined up but only one truly stood out. It was a bit more fallen and damaged than the others and it didn't look like whoever lived here looked after it.

The brown chipped wood and the broken board on the porch were in deep need of some love and care.

”This is it,” Dave said and stepped on the squeaking boards. He opened the door and we stepped in.

She had to have had some hex over the place when Selene was here or she would've told me how badly damaged it was.
