CHAPTER 44

　　I keep scanning everywhere with my eyes as I climb down the stairs but she was nowhere to be seen around.

　　"Where is Meria?Has anyone seen her around?"I asked no one in particular but expect one of them to answer.

　　Instead they all nod negative and now I was getting restless.

　　I abandon my food and went straight to her room.

　　Knocking is not really my thing as I kick the door open and right inside is Meria sleeping on her bed with Ivy sitting beside her.

　　I can see water in a bowl and a towel folded into pad,at least I know well enough that it is used in bringing down one's fever.

　　I rushed to her side and yelled at Ivy in the meanest tone.

　　"Why didn't you tell me she was sick?"

　　She shivered and dropped to her knees immediately unable to say anything and I repeated my question again now getting angrier.

　　"I thought I asked you a question Ivy,why did you not tell me she was sick?"
