CHAPTER 283 Hopelessly in love

　　To Vivienne's relief, she received a call from Maverick telling her not to worry about Alexis. She had been calling Alexis the entire day unfortunately there was no reply. Only then did she get any good night's sleep especially with victor on the phone talking to her

　　With the rain pouring heavily, the city was in a slumber. The sky was covered in gray clouds. The small cabin didn't seem to be strong enough to hold for long, however, a shivering Alexis rubbed her cold hands together. Her teeth chattered as she waited for Maverick to light up the fire. She didn't think she would hold on for much longer

　　The clothes she was wearing stuck to her body like a second skin due to them being wet. the coldness engulfed her penetrating her flesh and swore her bones froze out

　　It was funny how she and Maverick got wet however a day full of fun was worth it

　　"It's not working," she asked, moving closer to Maverick who was on his knees trying to start the fire.
