Paisley and I were currently cuddling up on her sofa. I am behind her with my back to the couch, and she was in front of me, facing the TV. It took her some time to ask me for snuggles, but I was happy to oblige when she did. She was fallen asleep and had been on and off for the last half an hour. I tried to get her to go to bed, but she insisted she was fine.
“Paisley, go to bed,” I whisper, stroking her arm.
I waited for her to respond, but she didn’t. She had fallen asleep. I shake her to try to wake her and let her go to bed, but she groans and doesn’t wake. There was only one thing for it. I slowly and carefully move and climb over the top of her. I cleaned up the mess we had made and switched the TV off, along with everything else.
