City of Nyx (2)

There was a sense of almost normalcy that came from standing in line with other Vampires. After a series of life and death events, Lukas was once again reminded of how Vampires were really just another race of people.

Like the first time he had met Stacy working at VitaBlood or Lily at the city council's building.

Large groups of people still needed a way to work together and the easiest way was making a society–even if that came along with problems of its own.

Theodore stood impatiently in front of him with his arms crossed, tapping his foot every now and then. They were all the way in the back and it infuriated the assassin of how long they were going to take.

"Geez." Lukas resisted the urge to roll his eyes.

But truth be told, after an hour of standing around–it also started to get on his nerves.

The line of Vampires did move, but they were all the way in the back.

"Will really take awhile, huh?" Alexei offhandedly said from behind Stacy.
