Something To Understand (3)

"There's… you're being somewhat hostile right now, Drusilla. I thought you'd be happy to be back and that we can talk again." Lukas left the window closed and drew himself back not to the bed, but to glance around the room for clues.

"Why do you assume that I would be happy to be stuck in this dagger again?" Drusilla said, vexed.

"… Wait, something happened? You got free from the dagger?" Lukas stopped in his tracks. He didn't know what to expect when the Unknown showed up in the picture but his blood ran cold. "You… you didn't make a deal with the creature inside of the forest did you?"

"I am no fool that will go mess with something beyond my comprehension. I have warned you against the Dryad before, so why would I get myself tempted with a being that does not have a semblance of understanding on how this world of ours operates?" Drusilla snapped.
