Rank 3 Beast Core.

Inside a quiet area in the Green Sky Forest, a teenage boy in sect robe could be seen walking around the forest. The teenage boy is none other than Ye Xun, after entering the Green Sky Forest he and the man separated. It has been 2 hours now and Ye Xun has not seen the Blue Winged Leopard, the only spirit beast he has encountered so far were rank 1 spirit beast which he killed without effort, extracting their beast core and moving forward quickly.

Ye Xun could absorb the energy in the beast core he extracted from the rank 1 spirit beast. It would not give his cultivation a massive increase but any increase to his cultivation base is welcomed.

Up ahead the sound of fighting could be heard, Ye Xun immediately ran towards the direction of the sound.

A man and a rank 2 Golden Armor Pig were fighting, the man was attacking the Golden Armor Pig trying to bypass it's defense but the spirit beast defence was almost impenetrable.

This is the first time he saw someone fighting a rank 2 spirit beast, he decided to watch the fight besides he's yet to find the Blue Winged Leopard after walking two hours in the outer region of the forest.

The fight between the man and the Golden Armor Pig continued for another ten minutes before the both of them disengaged. The man seeing that he could not kill the spirit beast, left it and ran because he couldn't continue fighting the animal.

The both of them were injured with the man's injury being more severe than the Golden Armor Pig. The man left the scene immediately leaving the spirit beast alone to tend to it's injuries but the injury inflicted on him by the Golden Armor Pig was more severe.

Ye Xun seeing this, came out of where he was hiding and went towards the spirit beast. The Golden Armor Pig sensed someone coming towards it and was put in a state of high alert. It felt a sense of danger coming from the figure approaching it but it couldn't do anything as it was injured. Ye Xun approached the spirit beast and killed it immediately. He needed it's beast core and he couldn't allow it to recuperate because he saw how strong it was at its peak condition during the fight.

Extracting the beast core from the Golden Armor Pig, he left it's corpse and went deeper into the forest.

Ye Xun is now at the border between the outer region and inner region of the forest. As he went deeper into the forest he saw many rank 1 plants which he picked up.

Inside the inner region of the forest, two spirit beast could be seen fighting each. One was a rank 3 Two Fanged Silver Panther and the other was the rank 2 Blue Winged Leopard that Ye Xun was looking for.

The Blue Winged Leopard intruded on the territory of the Two Fanged Silver Panther. The former wanted to take control while the latter tries to defend it's territory.

The Two Fanged Silver Panther held the advantage because of the difference in rank and was pushing the Blue Winged Leopard back making it very angry. The Blue Winged Leopard gave a loud deafening roar and try charging towards the Two Fanged Silver Panther but was beaten back again.

At the entrance of the inner region of the forest, Ye Xun heard a roar resounding throughout the perimeter. Increasing his speed to his limit he ran towards the direction of the sound, sometime later he saw the two spirit beast. He couldn't help but be happy inwardly because he will get the chance to lay his hands on the beast core of a rank 3 spirit beast.

The Blue Winged Leopard was injured while the Two Fanged Silver Panther was very tired. Even with the difference in rank, the Blue Winged Leopard did it best in fighting the Two Fanged Silver Panther but the difference in rank proved to be a disadvantage for it.

Ye Xun approached the two spirit beast without being noticed. He got behind the Blue Winged Leopard and killed it immediately, the Two Fanged Silver Panther was shocked to see the decimated Leopard before it but he was more shocked to see the perpetrator.

Ye Xun came in front of the Panther and slaced out his hand, a sword light was produced from it immediately heading for it. The Two Fanged Silver Panther couldn't help but move back in fear. The sword light gave off a huge sense of danger, the Two Fanged Silver Panther could do nothing as the sword light met directly with it body cutting it into two immediately.

Ye Xun was able to kill the two spirit beast easily because one was tired while the other was severely injured. If not, only the Blue Winged Leopard would have given him a very tough time.

Extracting the beast core of the two spirit beast, Ye Xun wanted to take their corpse but it was impossible for him to carry two spirit beast out of the forest. Even if he successfully did, the other cultivators will attack him and rob him of the corpse and beast core.

He saw a cave which belonged to the Two Fanged Silver Panther and entered it. Inside the cave was the bones of humans that feel prey to it. A ring could be seen on a pile of skeleton, Ye Xun walked towards it and picked it up. After looking at it closely he knew that the ring was a storage ring.

Spatial rings are treasures and very expensive to obtain. Only Cultivators above the spirit gathering stage could own such a treasure. Ye Xun did not how the ring got there but he was not bothered because the Two Fanged Silver Panther was dead and the ring solve the current issue he has at the moment.

He bit his finger and let his blood drop on the surface of the ring, the ring gave off a bright golden glow before Ye Xun was able to see the interior of the ring.

Just like he has suspected, the owner of the ring was definitely above the spirit gathering stage. He submerge his spirit sense in the ring and saw a long rusted sword with 1000 spirit stone at one corner of the ring

He placed the spatial ring on his finger and went out of the cave, he went outside and places the corpses of the two spirit beast in the ring and started walking out of the forest.

He dare not stay any longer because he knows that other rank 3 spirit beast will start heading towards the cave location to occupy it and there may be a rank 4 beast among them.

Outside the forest, Ye Xun prepared to head back to sect. The mission was a success with him getting a spatial treasure and the beast core of a rank 4 spirit beast.

He plans to absorb the energy of the rank 3 spirit beast to boost his cultivation and sell the corpse to alchemist who might need it to concort pills.
