Favorite brother

With the device confirmed Arthor turned his attention to the free folk in the building. When he had decided to turn the tribes focus to agriculture, he was a bit disappointed to realize there was not much variety in their food source.

The skagossi folk had fallen into some... hmm lets go with routine. Where they fought and then grew the crops they were used to, with no attempts for experimentation or change. Then again with the wars they waged against the lords almost every ten years taking away most of their able workforce, they didn't really have that much lee way.

Arthor hence moved his attention to the free folk who were more than willing to eat almost anything considering they were often forced to move due to the Skagossi tribes. In his questioning of the tribes he discovered most of them had come across a crop which apparently grew in abundance, and was even sometimes seen during the winter.

Their descriptions had caused images of some tuber crops to form in his mind, and now looking at what they had in hand. Arthor was absolutely pleased, potatoes... they might have looked a tad different. But, it Arthor guessed it was a given considering this was a different world and all.

With some more questions and confirmations, Arthor gave some ideas and left everything else to the professionals. Freya waited for the people to leave before speaking Arthor, "well you look happy". Arthor simply turned around and flashed Freya a grin.

"I know it doesn't look like much, but this is just the beginning."

"The beginning huh, you intend to change your name to Arthor the farmer then?" Arthor let out a laugh at her words, "I'd have you know I was a farmer before all this began." Freya quirked a brow at his words, "what you don't believe me."

"Yes I truly find it hard to believe yer were a farmer."

"Hah I was, so was my father and his father before him. As a boy I herded the Unicorns and followed my mother". Arthor gained a sad smile as he began to reminiscence about his mother, "but just because a man is a farmer does not mean he can not be a warrior. I am skagossi after all" He proceeded to give a playful smirk to Freya.

High above a one eyed raven flew taken in the sights before returning to a weir wood tree and landing atop the shoulder of Ronell whose eye resembled the beast for a moment before returning to normal.

"I will never not find that disturbing". Lothor spoke up from the side as he bit down on a fruit, Ronell could not recognize. "*sigh* Do you not have anywhere else to be brother." Ronell turned to his elder brother with annoyance.

"No. No, I don't. Arthor is now obsessed with his contraptions and only speaks with Halys or Freya. Father is managing issues as well, so is not as fun. I wouldn't mind going with Benjen or Largetha, by Benjen insists I'm not allowed to teach his recruits my crazy way of fighting, can you believe that"

"Yes, yes I can." Ronell's words caused Lothor to sport a betrayed look, "Lagertha won't let me come hunting with her and the others claims I'd scare the animals away-"

"you did scare them away. I saw you." Ronell interrupted his brother in the same tired tone, "No I didn't, you weren't even there." At Lothor's protest Ronell simply motioned to Spakr who sat upon his shoulder. The action caused Lothor to curse out in the old tongue which of course caused Ronell to burst out laughing.

"So I thought you know..." Lothor moved close placing his hand atop of Ronell's head, "... why not hang out with my favorite brother." Ronell gave Lothor an unimpressed side glance, "I thought Arthor was your favorite brother".

"Bah, who cares about Arthor."

"You really are lonely huh. *sigh* Fine I was planning to practice a bit in the woods anyway." "Yes" Lothor embraced Ronell in a tight hug before pulling out his axes, "It's been a while since they tasted blood."

Arthor pinched the bridge of his nose. "You do know I need the beasts alive to practice right." "Worry not brother, I won't hurt them much" Lothor had a sheepish look as he said those words.

"Anyway, Shyra still turning you down I see" Lothor was quick to change the subject, "Yes. I questioned father, it seems to be because of something she saw about Arthor. Something terrifying if the way she reacted is anything to go by."

Lothor paused with his hand moving to his chin when he heard his younger brother's words, "must truly be something if the old hag refuses to teach you because of it." "Father wouldn't say, I won't lie however, I'm truly curious about what she must have seen."
