As soon as I put Aurora back on her wheelchair, she fell asleep. I just realized how tired her face looked under dawning light. At this hour, the heat will start to rise and it will be a desert before noon. The sky is still awfully blue, without a cloud. Some people left the motel midnight given the empty parking lots; I bet it had to do with Lisa. Speaking of her, the curtains of her room are still shut and not a photon escape through it. I'll fill in Aurora later about her accompanying us.

I took some juice cans from the vending machine I broke yesterday, but we need a more substantial meal. We're heading for the kitchen—if there's one in here. I'm not the best cook on earth, but I think I'll manage something edible.
