Chapter 13: New Enemy

Ethan's POV

Why? I trusted him. He was with me all the time. But why is he doing this?

"Kyle" I shouted and punched his face after I freed myself. "What is this? Why are you doing this?" I asked him.

"Don't call me Kyle, Ethan. It's Primo Wang." Wang? Is he? No way.

"Do you remember now?" He asked. I stepped back. "What do you want?" I asked him. " It's all your fault. You killed them." He said and pulled out his gun.

"It's not me. It's you. If you weren't abducted, it wouldn't happen." I replied to him. "Put the gown down, Primo," I added.

"Sirheo. (No)." He shouted and fired it up. "Primo, stop it now," I yelled at him.

"No. I want you to die. Only then; I'll stop. You are selfish. You only want everything for yourself." He shouted and pointed the gun at me.

"No, Primo. Z abducted my family, same as you. Your parents interfered when we were about to save you. We tried to stop them, but they charged toward the room you were in." So I started telling him the real story.

"You were so young. After they passed you to us, Z shot your parents' head. I gave you to Max to get you out of that place, but his underlings shot him." I added.

"You can check it yourself; you have a bullet scar on your shoulder and Max on his chest," I said and pointed to his right shoulder and Max's chest.

He didn't talk for a few seconds. Then, he approached Max to confirm the scar.

"If you let us go, I will tell you everything, your parents' connection with Z, and where you can find him.

"I don't believe you." He said and hit my head with the gun.

"Take them away." He said to his underlings. So we fought them and followed Kyle, or I must say, Primo Wang.

I saw him enter a room at the end of the hallway. I asked Max and Hunter to wait outside the room and followed Primo alone.

"Primo," I called him. He was shocked after he saw me.

"I want to talk with you. Give me at least 2 minutes. I will explain everything." I looked at him, but he avoided it. "Two minutes then." He replied and sat on the couch behind him.

I pulled out my phone and gave it to him. It has video evidence of the accident ten years ago. "Watch it," I said. So he took the phone and watched it.

"Do you believe me now? We're not your enemy, Primo. We were there to save my family. After I sent my family out of that place, they told me about you. Max and I went back to rescue you, but your parents followed us. They ruined our plan. We tried to stop them, but it was too late." I started.

"Z took you as collateral for your parent's massive debt. They made a deal. Z will release you in exchange for their payment. But even if they pay, Z planned to keep you." I added.

I gave him the papers we collected as proof. He looked at it and started crying. "Primo, if you give me a chance, I will help you. We will plan everything and get revenge on Z," I said. I comforted him until he stopped crying.

"But why? Why me? What have they done?" He said and looked at me.

"Until now, I don't have the answer. But I promise you; we will help you until Z pays for his wrongdoings." I said and tapped his shoulder.

"I treated you as my brother. I want us to go back to how we were before." I said. I offered to shake hands with him, and he accepted it.

We walked out of the room together and waved at Max and Hunter to follow us.

Heidi's POV

I couldn't believe it. Someone's claiming that I have a different father. NO WAY. He is already dead.

Ethan asked Brent to send me home. So what are they doing in that club?

"Why were you in the club?" I asked him, but he didn't talk. I tapped his shoulder, but still no response. Is he ignoring me?

I put on my earphones and listen to the playlist on my phone. This current song really suits my relationship with Ethan. While listening to the song, I saw Brent talking on his phone. So I turned off the music without removing my earphone.

"She's using earphones. She won't hear me. Don't worry. I won't tell her anything. Okay. I put a tracker on Ethan's shoes. I'll follow you once I send her home." He said and dropped the call.

He looked at his phone and monitored its location.

"Damn it." He said. I tried not to look at him, but he hit the steering wheel.

"Why is there so much traffic?" He said. It looks like he is in a hurry. I checked the road, and I was near my house. I was about to talk to him when he started talking on the phone.

"Mike, Wolf, I need you to track Ethan, Max, and Hunter. There is something wrong with their location." He said.

"Got it. I'll drop Ms. Griffin off and meet with you soon." He said, then dropped the call.

"Uhm, Brent?" I called him. He looked at me with frustration. "Not now, Ms. Griffin. I don't have the time to answer your questions." He said and wiped his face hard with his palm.

"No, call me Heidi. It seems you've got an emergency. You can drop me here since it's only 5 minutes walk to my home."

"No, Heidi. I'll drop you off. It is Ethan's order. One more thing, there is no place for me to make a U-turn here." He said and looked back on the road.

After 10 minutes, he was able to drop me home and immediately left. There must have been an emergency.

I went inside the house and kept my bag. I took a shower and lay in bed. I tried to call Ethan, but his phone was off.

I called Hadley to check on our mom. "Hadley, how are you? Is mom okay?" I asked. "Yes, everything is fine." She answered.

"I will be there tomorrow, so you can come home and sleep for a while," I said, and she nodded at me as a response.

I dropped my phone after I bid goodbye. What happened to Ethan? Until now he hasn't called me back yet. I hope he is okay.

I scrolled my phone and let myself fall asleep.
