Crossover World (5)

(AN: One last chapter before my holiday is over.)

"Are you implying that you'll give me something I want for free?" No matter how I looked at it, this was something that could hardly be true.

After hearing what I said, Vu-Selkie inhaled some more smoke from his pipe and put the closet on his back on the ground. Then he opened it with his free hand and showed me what was inside.

"My young friend, you can believe me. I have no intention of deceiving you. Tell me anything you want from here and I will give it to you."

I was looking at the contents of the closet, which already looked big from the outside, but when it was fully opened, it was even bigger inside. There were many things inside, from different potions to swords that emitted divine auras. But I didn't believe it was all this much.

"What's in the chest above the closet?" I asked him.

"This is something I am sorry to say I cannot tell you, my friend. Because inside that chest is an item specially ordered by another reincarnate. It would be to your detriment to know what it is. But you can take one of these things here. A potion that will make your body indestructible for a short time, a potion that will increase your strength many times over, a sword soaked in the blood of a dragon god, or a kilo of shit from a cosmic worm. Never mind that it's a piece of shit, if you rub it on your body, you can gain terrifying spatial powers."

As he said, there was a lot of high-quality stuff, but none of it interested me. That's when I had an idea and I asked Vu-Selkie.

"Do you have schirft 'X-Axis'? I'd like to buy it if possible." I said and I thought, 'If I get this in my arsenal, it will make things easier for me in the future.'

As soon as I said that, his skeleton face took on a serious expression and the fire in his pipe went out. Then he put it in a pocket in his suit and looked at me for a moment.

"Young friend, what makes you think I have those things?"

"Aren't you the most popular and best merchant in the whole cosmos? I must have gotten the wrong idea for a moment."

Vu-Selkie looked at me a little longer and exhaled tiredly and started talking.

"Sigh... Even if you wanted weapons powerful enough to destroy continents, I would give them to you, but since you hit me like that, I can't help it. All right, I'll give it to you, but on one condition."

"What is this condition?" I wondered what the condition was. If it was too big, I would refuse. I could eventually get what I wanted in the future.

"From now on, every time you come to a new world, you have to purchase from me. Normally I would charge at least 5 essences for what you want, but since you asked for it, I'm giving it to you for free. Remember me when you use this in the future young man Hahaha..."

"I accept, it's fine with me. But then you have to teach me how to take their essence."

"No problem at all. Wait, I'll just take this out..." The skeleton merchant said and reached into the inner pocket of his suit and searched for something. After ten seconds of searching, he pulled his hand out of the pocket and was holding something new. A small cup with a little crimson blood in it.

He handed me the small cup and began to explain. "This is the blood of Yhwach, when you drink it, it will give you what you want."

"Hmm, if I asked for the full version of 'The Almighty', would you give it away for free?"

"Hahaha, of course not. I'm afraid I can't give it away for free. You'll have to be satisfied with this. After all, your mission doesn't require much power, right?"

"Indeed." I said and drank the blood in one gulp. After the blood was gone, the small cup suddenly disappeared. I didn't even need to talk about the taste, but as soon as I drank it, I felt as if another force had appeared in the depths of my soul. I knew now that I had acquired the 'X-Axis'.

The feeling disappeared after only a few seconds. After everything was back to normal, I reminded Vu-Selkie.

"Now you can show me how to collect the essences."

"Okay, okay, I'll show you." He spoke as if he was tired and whispered. "I don't understand why he's in such a hurry..."

He reached out and opened a portal. Immediately a person fell through the portal. Or rather a reincarnated person, which I could understand because I was one too.

"Why did you bring such a person?" The woman lying on the ground did not react at all, as if she was in a deep sleep.

"Because I'm going to show you the process live. Normally I'm not allowed to attack or capture reincarnated people, but this sucker tried to attack me and steal my stuff. As a result, I've been keeping her locked up in an empty dimension in case I need her in the future. Who would have thought she'd come in handy at a time like this." Vu-Selkie explained and approached the woman. He gestured for me to follow him.

"First... Do you want me to do everything or do you want to try? Don't worry, I'll explain it to you."

"Let me do it." I crouched in front of the woman on the floor and waited for instructions.

"Okay, first of all, put your fist in through the chest. Oh! Before I forget to mention, you can only get essences from the dead. So you have to kill this one first."

I immediately did as he said and with no more and no less force I pushed my hand into her chest with a sharp fist.

Even though the blood splattered on my arm, I didn't worry too much. What was clear was that the woman was dead now.

"Now that the subject is dead, for the second step I want you to try to send your consciousness as if into her soul, into the very core of her being. It may not be easy, but you can try."

After a few attempts, my consciousness was deep in her soul, no, even deeper. I saw a small colorful glowing ball in front of me and with my consciousness, I reached out my hand and grasped the ball. When I did that my consciousness came back into my body and I was holding a colorful glowing ball in my real hand.

"You've had a good first harvest, but I have to ask you to give it to me. After all, it's normally mine." Vu-Selkie asked me with a straight skeleton face.

"Stingy bastard..." I whispered to myself and threw the ball at him. Vu-Selkie caught it, opened another portal and threw it there.

"I think we're done now. I'm going to send you back to that little alley. Don't worry, we'll have a chance to talk more in the future." Just as he was about to kick me out of another portal, I asked him something else.

"What are you going to do with the corpse? We're not in a private dimension now, wouldn't it be bad to leave it lying around?"

"Hahahaha don't worry about that my young friend, I have plenty of pets waiting for me and they haven't eaten reincarnated beings for a while."

I didn't even want to ask what he meant by a pet, so I just nodded and waited for him to send me away.

The last thing I saw before I was transferred with portal was him waving.
