Chapter 19 : Blacksmith

Cain then stayed in his room , at the tavern taking rest for two days . At the end of the day Cain spoke with Miles again regarding the blacksmith and the pawnshop .Miles then told him to get ready to leave at 4 am the next day where he would introduce Cain to them.

The next day Cain was waiting for Miles at the counter in the Tavern , as Miles came out . They both started to head out as Miles spoke

"I'm taking you to a retired blacksmith , but he still takes few orders if it interests him . He is the best to create Weapons which use flame imbued mana to use . Even Norman , the A rank at the guild gets his gauntlets made by him . Be respectful and he just might accept your request ."

Cain looked at Miles in a weird expression and asked Miles

"Then how do you know that guy ? if he is like that" Seeing Cain confused Miles laughed and replied

"Well , I helped him long back when he was starting out and we both retired at the same time . We're good friends ,but he takes his craft very seriously and doesn't take anyone based on recommendation but only based on his interest" Cain nodded as the continued to walk towards the blacksmith's shop.

After some time they arrived in front of a house , it had 2 floors and looked a little larger than the other houses around . It looked like a normal house where a family would live.

Miles then knocked the door and shouted

"Sanders !! , It's me Miles ,open up"

After some time the door opened , Cain saw a large red scaled Lizardman in one hand holding newspaper while sipping something which looked like a warm morning beverage.

The large lizard squinted his eyes and looked at both Cain and Miles , then spoke in a husky voice

"Who is this pretty boy with you Miles, Don't tell me you're discovering new things now . Thank you of thinking of me but I don't swing that way . Take Care" As the Lizardman smiled at Miles , Miles had several veins popping in his head and spoke

"Hey orc brained lizard let us inside , he is a potential top adventurer who I want to introduce to you " Miles spoke as he pushed the lizardman and moved inside the house signaling Cain to follow.

"Ok , fine go to the backyard and wait . I'll come " Little irritated the lizardman went inside what looked like a kitchen and started to wash the cup he was using to drink. As Miles and Cain moved to the Backyard.

From the Time Cain saw the Red Lizardman , Cain started to get confused looking at what was happening . If the lizardman had a version of a human , it would be exactly same as the grumpy old man who used to sit in his front yard Mocking all the kids and laughing at them.

Cain expected to see a dwarf when he thought of a blacksmith . I mean who wouldn't , but a lizardman ? seriously ? And the tone he spoke in is not in that of a master blacksmith at all . Where was all the regal nature , the mature way , the large basement with a furnace. There was nothing !!

Cain had a disappointed look on his face . Looking at this Miles didn't say much but smiled . As the entered the Back yard ,Cain was surprised . It had a huge furnace as large as a small car at the center , a huge anvil , hammers and top quality weapons all thrown at the side at a corner as the both of them moved and sat at the chairs at the corner. Miles started to speak

"He may not look like a blacksmith , and mostly you were expecting a dwarf or a human .But he is great at his job you won't be disappointed" Cain nodded as The Lizardman entered .

Cain got up and went towards the lizardman as he bowed a little and intoduced himself

"I'm Cain , Swordsman who has high affinity to flame magic . It woul-" Cain was stopped as the Lizardman continued

"I don't Care about that , I'm Sander Firetooth . Now First remove your shirt I'll examine your body and then decide" Cain looked a little confused and turned towards Miles , Miles nodded his head in a serious face.

As Cain stood Shirtless Sander would knock all over his body , punch him at times and even spit fire at him at his arms , after some time Sander's spoke

"Hmm , your body is highly compatible with Flame magic . It's like the flame attributed mana wants to swirl around and protect you . You also have great fire resistance which can help to use flame mana and strong spells with ease . But why swords? Your body looks more suited for to wield Dual axes , I daresay you can become a top flame Dual axe wielder than a swordsman " Cain was confused a little , This was the first time anyone said this to him . Even the system didn't say this to Cain . In his mind he asked

'Is what he said true ?'

[Yes , most likely as the previous Flame primordial would use battle axes the most even if he was proficient in other weapons and that talent might be passed on to you when your body was made]

'Why did they use weapons ? they were primarily mages right?'

[It's a choice . The Void and Primordial of life didn't use any weapons , while Fluid and matter primordials used Spear and a long sword respectively , to suit or complement their battle style . Though this was only when they fought other primordials]

'Then I should try Dual axes next time'

Now Cain looking at Sander's spoke

"I want a free flexible short armor which covers my arms , legs , abdomen and back . A mask and As for weapons the Dual axes and a Sword which can suit me " Sander's then asked

"Material ? " hearing this Cain moved to the side and pulled out the 10 keldun bodies and the black bone remains of the Black Keldun . Looking at this Sander's started to laugh heavily while Miles looked down on the ground and squinted his eyes as Sander's spoke

"Hahaha !! I thought he had good potential but this is FUCKiNG !! BROKEN!!" Sander's laughed as he examined the bodies , Miles in a grim tone spoke

"Cain ,I may be a good person but sure can turn cruel if anyone dangerous comes to aim my family. How did you get these bodies and remains of the Black Keldun and don't even think about lying , there is only one place in Zrervin Dukedom where we can obtain them where people stopped going since it was very poisonous to breathe . And how much of your Rank are you hiding ?" Miles spoke as he started to show his aura of a B rank , and he wasn't weak even a A rank would take some time to defeat him and Cain needed him for his future plans. Cain thought for a moment and spoke

"I have high level poison immunity , so when i went to the 4 th floor and lured them into pit where i used continuous spikes to impale the black Keldun as for the others , i stalked them and took them off one by one" Miles wasn't satisfied but he spoke

"I know you aren't telling the truth as these always attack in groups , but i'll act like i'll trust you as i feel no ill intent coming from you . But this will cause a huge uproar in the city after a week when they find out the 4 th level is cleaned off and people might start to keep an eye on those who enter the dungeon"

Miles sighed and reduced his pressure as he knew Cain didn't have ill intent towards him or his family , more importantly Cain didn't show much interest in them which was a good sign. Then Sander's spoke

"You boy , this here is great material not because of its strength but because of it versatility and binding ability . It is a great base to make weapons to make out of beast bones as it binds them together , give me a week i'll have all the weapons and armor made " Cain looked at Sander's as he saw him drooling looking at the bodies of kelduns and smothering his face against the Black Keldun bones .

"You have high affinity to Flame attributed mana go near the central city library and ask around for the Lazy raven summoner , they'll show you to a house . Tell him I told you to find him and ask him to teach summoning magic , all those with high mana affinities can use summoning magic , Now get out and come back a week later I need to craft masterpieces!!"

Miles and Cain looked at Sander's who looked like a kid who got a new toy . Miles and Cain left and went out as Miles handed a Card to Cain,

"This is the address to a pawn shop , whose owner i know well . But don't trust him too much and go wearing some stealth or hiding equipment , he gives a decent price . And sorry for what happened inside, i should've known you would have you're reasons . Get stronger till then don't attract much attention as you might get killed to reduce competition or get pulled in fight between factions" Miles said this and started to head back.

Cain didn't show much expression and went towards the Central city library . Cain didn't care about Miles much and if necessary he could kill Miles without a hint of remorse but he needed him to root himself in the City . But this was irritating trying to maintain a good relation . But he needed Miles so he would protect Miles if necessary due to the valuable connections Miles has as Cain spoke

"Ah.. , This is tiring lets head towards this Lazy raven"
