Kita Island (3)

[Kita Island, The Throne Hall],

A grandiose throne of marble sits behind a lavish gate of gilded wood and is adjoined by five similar, but undecorated seats for those closest to the royal highness.

The throne is covered in layered designs and fixed on each of the wide armrests is a chiseled dagger. The stiff pillows are a light sanguine and these too have been adorned with emblazoned corners.

Sitting on the throne is a short man with a scruffy beard, wearing a crown with a large bear claw while leaning his face on his right arm and using the throne's armrest as a support. On the opposite side of him, standing a huge man with a blonde hair and a scarred body.

"Mesagi, did you meet up with the Demon?" The man sitting on the throne asked in confidence while giving a strong sense of authority.

"Yes, your highness, I delivered him your invitation safely" The Blonde man responded with a smirk.

"Good, I'm in dire need of people like him if I'm to realize my ambition" The King calmly stated.

"I doubt a brat like him would lower his head and work for someone else" Mesagi responded.

"If that's true then I shall end his journey here, in the end his head is still worth a lot" The king stated.

"HAHAHA, IMPRESSIVE YOUR HIGHNESS!!...Then I shall have that honor!" Mesagi said excitedly and left the throne hall after giving respect to the king. A few minutes later someone else came asking for the king's audience.

*KNOCK-KNOCK*

"Who is it?"

"It's me your highness" a deep voice was heard from the other side of the door.

"Come in!" The King gave permission, then two guards opened the door and a handsome man wearing an elegant suit walked in with confidence. Once he reached the king, he did a small bow while keeping his composure and then proceeded to speak.

"Your highness"

"What is it, William?"

"We have some important matters we need to discuss your highness" said the 1.85m tall, this olive-skinned man has a charming feel about him, and he has a small mark on his left ear. His shoulder-length, curly, salt and pepper hair is neatly braided.

"Go ahead"

"…"

[Somewhere on the Island],

(First Person POV),

I was training with Calvin for the past two days, we did some endurance training. But more importantly in this past week I decided that I should start learning swordsmanship. I believe it's one of the best skills someone can have if not the best.

For now, I'm just training myself by doing basic moves such as vertical swings and thrust attacks to get familiar with it. I was using the sword that I got from Diana when she first attacked me back at Logue Town.

'It's impossible for me to learn swordsmanship by myself so I'm planning to find someone who could teach me as soon as I can' I thought, I also kept practicing other skills such as my marksmanship using one handed pistol, and the observation haki training which I still haven't made any progress in it.

Also, while I was at it Calvin explained to me how important breathing techniques are in fights. He started teaching me the one he uses, and I immediately integrated it into my routine.

"Deep breathing boosts stamina, reduces stress and anxiety, and can help you become Unstoppable" Calvin said to me while I was shadow boxing.

"*BREATH-IN*…*BREATH-OUT*" I felt more relaxed doing this exercise.

After a few minutes we finally finished our training.

"Good!!"

"Knowing martial art is certainly a great thing!...huff…huff" I said while wiping my sweat with a handkerchief "How did you learn them anyway?" I asked him, he was really good at it.

"My grandpa taught me and my brother when we were kids" he replied.

"Cool!" I said excitedly then I grabbed a bottle of water near me and started drinking. "*GULP-GULP-GULP*…Haaaa!...It Taste good after a long workout" I put the bottle on the side and turned back to Calvin.

"Can I ask you a favor?"

"Hmmm? That's unusual of you, what is it?" he said giving me his attention.

"I would like you to start training Ken with you if you can, I know it's too late for him to learn haki and Rokushiki, but I still believe he could get stronger" I said with a serious face.

"You mean devil fruits?"

"Yes, but a devil fruit only is useless, he needs to know how to fight and since you have more experience than me, I thought you would be a better trainer" I said, then added "I won't force, it's your decision after all" I gave him a choice as I didn't want to pressure him to do something he doesn't want.

Without giving it too much thoughts he immediately replied.

"I'll do it" He said with a smile "Since we'll be sailing together in this dangerous sea, it will certainly help to have strong allies"

"Good! I knew I could count on you"

After we finished our conversation, I went to a river nearby and washed my body and then I went back to the city and got ready to attend the king's feast.
