It was time to visit my family again.
It was my father's birthday after all.
Not my Alpha father Edward, but my Omega father Desmond. The one who gave birth to my two brothers and me.
Desmond had always been kind and caring. We three siblings loved him incredibly. He was the complete opposite of Edward in his nature. That's probably why they complemented each other so well.
Edward had been the stricter of the two, always having very high expectations of his children. Desmond, on the other hand, was compliant and loving.
When we were kids and wanted something, we usually asked Desmond because he always allowed us to do anything. As long as it wasn't dangerous, of course.
Oddly enough, Desmond held his own against Edward very well. He was probably the only person who could say anything to Edward or instruct him without any consequences. And Edward always did what Desmond told him to do. He was hopeless in that regard.
The two really loved each other. Even after all this time.
It was very unusual as most of the time love seems to wane as a marriage progresses. But not with the two.
They always called it fated love.
When I was younger I wanted to experience something like that too. It must be a great feeling when your love feels like fate or destiny.
But ever since i was diagnosed as an extremely submissive omega, I have been trying to get rid of that dream. Because I knew it was very unlikely that I would ever experience something like this.
Still, I was happy for my fathers. They made such a cute couple in my opinion.
Somehow I was looking forward to seeing them all again. I couldn't wait to tell them about my new job.
I wondered how surprised they would be.
For my second eldest brother Daniel it probably wouldn't be such a big surprise. After all, he ended up supplying me with his pheromones regularly so I could smell like an alpha at work.
He was always there for me when it came to secrets and immature plans. I knew that I could count on him.
He was a real bro. Even if he could be a bit annoying at times.
But I didn't plan on telling anyone else in my family, which is why i showered three times before the birthday party so no one could find out.
I also didn't want them to find out that I was somehow dating my boss. That would be so awkward.
Also, they'd think I'd slept my way up to the executive floor, when it was just my hard work that got me there.
They all must never find out. Under no circumstances. Otherwise I would be doomed. I could never look my fathers in the eyes again.
Unfortunately, Mr. Jones had marked me so much on my neck that I had to wear a turtleneck again. And it was a pretty warm day today. I was sweating profusely.
But I had no choice, because my make-up didn't help much and it was too risky for a scarf. After all, it could fly away at the slightest gust of wind, or it just needed someone to pull it to reveal all the misery.
. . .
I was now standing in front of my family's large villa - the house of my childhood.
It was a magnificent building that made an immediate impression. I remembered very well, that all of my friends had a lot of respect for this house and its inhabitants. It seemed elitist.
I didn't hesitate long when I rang the bell at the gigantic front door. It was a mahogany door carved by hand by a famous artist. The entrance alone was worth a small fortune.
Shortly thereafter, the door was opened for me. I hardly had to wait a few seconds.
My father - Edward - stood now in front of me.
He was still rather tall and his three-day beard was meticulously trimmed as usual. A few silver strands were already running through his dark hair and a few wrinkles could also be seen on his otherwise flawless face. But his age suited him very well without a doubt. He aged like fine wine.
"Hey Dad! It's nice to see you again. Where's the star of the day? I want to congratulate him." I greeted with a smile.
"He's upstairs and getting ready. You know how long it takes him for something like that." He said as he let me in.
I could feel him examining me from head to toe.
He sighed. That was not a good start.
"Why are you wearing such casual clothes? Didn't Daniel tell you we were going to a soiree?" Edward asked seriously.
I was only here a minute and of course I was cross-examined directly.
"Oops, maybe I forgot to tell her that." Daniel said apologetically, as he joined us and greeted me with a quick nod.
"Daniel!" I scolded him angrily.
This boy would have forgotten his head if it hadn't grown on. It was unbelievable how two men, so successful and intelligent, could father such an idiot.
"And I thought that you were grown enough by now to take on a little bit of responsibility." Edward said reprovingly. I saw Daniel shrink in on himself.
"Yeah, I'm sorry." He said sheepishly.
"Anyway, you can't go to a soiree like that." Edward stated slightly annoyed that something didn't went as he planned.
"Don't worry dad. I'll just go home quickly and get a dress." I assured.
"Nonsense. Then you will be late. But I want us to get there together as a family. So that we look like a strong unit to everyone else. It's important. I want them to see you as a part of our family as well."
I didn't reply to that. I didn't know what to say to that either.
That it was his fault that he had kept my existence a secret for so long just because - contrary to all expectations - I was an Omega?
It would probably end in a fight anyway. And I didn't want to do that to Desmond on his birthday.
"All your dresses should still be hanging in your dressing room upstairs. You haven't grown much since your graduation from school anyway. So they should fit you. How about the dress you wore to the NET Gala when you were seventeen? That suited you so well." He suggested.
Yes, only problem is that it has a wide neckline. So I can't wear it without it being immediately revealed that I have a bond.
"Daniel, you will help her to choose a suitable dress." He instructed with a serious gaze.
"What? Why me?" He whined.
"Because you are here right now. Also, it's your fault that Nora dressed wrong." He explained and crossed his arms in front of his chest. He had put on the facial expression that allowed no contradiction.
Daniel sighed.
"Fiiiine." He groaned annoyed.
Then Daniel and I walked up the stairs to my room, which was directly adjacent to my dressing room.
"Is Frederic not there yet?" I asked curios about my eldest brother, while I searched for a fitting dress for the evening. It was very unusual for him to be late after all.
"He's there, but he still had to make a few business calls. He's out in the garden right now I think." Daniel informed me.
That sounded more like Frederic.
I found a ball gown that I wore to my nineteenth birthday. It was dark blue and high-necked.
It was exactly what i was looking for. The A-line would also make me look even slimmer. I decided on this dress and pulled it out without further ado.
Daniel looked at me doubtfully.
"Why don't you want to wear the NET Gala dress like father suggested?" He asked.
"I don't feel like wearing it today." I shrugged.
"Are you out of your mind?! Why should you reject father's suggestion? do you want to make him angry? You know that he also commissioned me to choose a suitable dress. Just take that damn gala dress. What's so bad about it?" He urged.
"I can't wear it." It tried to explain.
"Why? did you gain that much weight?"
"Fuck you Daniel. That's not it."
"What is it then?"
I briefly rolled the collar of my shirt down a bit so that it revealed all the hickeys and bite marks.
"Oh my god, these marks on your neck … do you have a bond?!" He asked in disbelief.
"No, i wrestled with my vacuum cleaner." I said sarcastically.
"What? Really?"
"No, you dipshit. How did you even graduate?"
"Daddy's money rules, I'd say." Daniel chuckled.
"You personality is disgusting." I remarked.
"Disgusting enough to provide you with my Alpha Pheromones so you can pose as an Alpha at work. And you still haven't kept your promise, while we're at it." He said grumpily.
"Yeah, yeah. I know. I'll get you a girlfriend." I said annoyed.
"Or a boyfriend. You know that I don't judge."
"Yeah whatever. I'm on it." I answered slightly tired.
"Great! That's all what I wanted to hear. Okay then put the dress on. I'll wait for you downstairs." He said and left the room with an enlightened mood.
I quickly changed my clothes so that I was ready in time. Then I just arranged my make-up and my hairstyle a little bit and left the room.
As I was stepping out into the hallway, I bumped into someone.
"Hello my Baby. you look beautiful." I heard a warm, familiar voice.
"Dad! Happy Birthday!" I said cheerfully and hugged him tightly. He laughed in response, while he returned the hug.
"How are you my sweetheart?" He asked still happy.
"I feel great! How are you?"
"I am feeling pretty good. I would still prefer it if we spent the evening together simply as a family though. But your father had to rent a whole hotel and organize a soiree for me." He sighed, slightly exhausted.
Desmond was rather introverted, that's why he actually didn't like huge parties and gatherings. However, he couldn't bring himself to tell his husband about it.
"I know. But you know that father always tries very hard for you. He only wants the best for you ... Here: I have something for you. But it's just a small present." I said to him as I handed him a small package that I brought with me.
"Aww, thank you sweetie. but that would not have been necessary." He said smiling as he opened the gift.
"Of course it's necessary! It's your birthday!" I smiled.
"Oh my god, honey! You didn't have to do that for me." He said, close to tears, as he took the filigree silver bracelet out of the box.
"I had our family crest engraved on it. The one you designed." I explained and showed him the pendant on it in more detail.
"It's beautiful. Thank you so much, Baby." He said affectionately. I helped him put the bracelet on.
"So then... let's get the night over with." He said and walked down the stairs with me.
"Oh dad, come on it won't be that bad."
"That's what you say now. You are at least as introverted as I am." He chuckled.
He was right for better or for worse.
