Darkened Daylight

An old lady walked out of the building. She was wearing a light blue nightie alongside an apron. With a bow, she greeted me, "Welcome back, sir!" 


I responded, "Yeah, long time no see, granny. Thanks for taking care of the house all these days!!" 


"My pleasure, sir!", she said. I walked directly into the house. The old woman spoke, "This morning, Ram and Sam came to the house giving me all your baggage. I was pretty worried since you weren't with them!" 


I responded, "My mood wasn't good at that time. You know what I do for peace of mind, right?!" 


She nodded. I then walked up the stairs and then into a bedroom. Without refreshing myself, I hopped into bed. Slowly, my eyes closed. 


The sound of curtains flipping open entered my ears. At once, lighting befell upon my eyes, henceforth waking me up. It was granny who made a wake-up call, "It's time to wake up, sir!"
