Chapter 3: Raine

It has been five years since she had last confronted Alecia and Aven. They were still in the Cthulhu prison. That is what made her happy, to suffer for what they took from her, so she made sure to take from them their freedom. When she finds the other two responsible, they will fall by her hands, she'll make them suffer before she ends their lives. The sphere artifact in her possession has helped her gain knowledge and power. Her grandfather had given her this very same artifact when she was a kid, thankfully, her grandfather taught her how to translate different languages, it's because of that she managed to learn from the artifact and tap into her power. Her family would have been proud.

She stood at tbe window of her ship, looking out into the endless expanse of space. Somewhere, the two individuals she sought are out there. She had heard that they have been spotted on their own planet, however, Raine could not risk it again. If she needed to get her revenge, she needed them alone, no interruptions.

Behind her, the door to her room opened, and a woman with emerald colored hair stepped in, a ningen, the same race as the ones she seeks revenge on. Eyla was a highly skilled hacker, she was the one who'd sent a message out to the Cthulhu prison, telling them of Alecia and Aven's location. She has helped her so much throughout the past five years. Raine was glad she helped her out of the empress' prison.

Raine smiled slightly, and turned to face her.

"Eyla."

Eyla stepped towards her, the faint light from the window causing her emerald hair to shine.

"Captain."

"Do you know where they are yet?" Raine asked.

"Not as yet. It is incredibly difficult to find a specified individual when they could be anywhere."

"You found the Cthulhu prison?"

"Captain... the Cthulhu prison has it's own source. It was easier to find something with a source."

Eyla stepped towards the one side table before turningto face Raine.

"Finding a person is difficult.  It isn't impossible for me to find someone, given enough time."

Raine: You mentioned you've heard rumors of them on Esterd, isn't that a good source to start?"

"Yes," Eyla said, nodding.

"They must have left. So perhaps we can go back to Esterd and ask around without causing suspicion?"

Raine crossed her arms, and frowned.

"Like myself, you are a wanted criminal. If I take you there, do you think you can dig around there?"

Eyla lowered her gaze for a moment.

Raine moved closer, her shadowing overcasting Eyla.

"Something wrong, Eyla?"

"Nothing, Captain." She answered shaking her head.

"I will get my things together."

Eyla turned away and proceeded walking before stopping. She turned back to Raine.

"What will do in tbe meantime?"

Raine looked over her shoulder.

"I'll be heading to Epra to collect some supplies and to meet an old friend of mine."

"Alright. I'll start packing. " Raine turned away.

"Eyla,"

"Yes?"

"I will come back for you. Just get all the info you need then call me."

Eyla turned to her once more and smiled slightly.

"Thank you, Captain." She walked outof the room as the door slid closed behind her.

Raine continued to look at the blackness of space before her. She will never stop with her mission.  She will find the last two. The same people who'd caused her grief. She will get her revenge.  Watching tbe emptiness of space almost gave a relaxing feeling in her chest.
