I asked suddenly worried. "calm down Sophia, there's still hope. I met with one of my old friend,he has a company but he is retired now but his son is the CEO of the company now. so for us to become partners you will have to marry his son or at least get engage to him first" Dad said carefully." what? how is that possible dad, I can't get married to someone I know nothing about not to talk of love Dad,this is totally insane" I said tearing up.
" I know it's hard for you dear,but you have to do it to save our company" mum said rubbing my palms gently. "I'm sorry mum but I can't get married to someone I know nothing about"I replied.

krringg..!!alarm vibrating. Sophia woke up on the second ring of the alarm.it was her first day of work as a secretary in the Desmond telecommunication enterprise.it has always been her dream to work in that company, even though computer software wasn't what she studied in the university,she was still happy to work there as it was one of the largest company in City S.


"I have been longing to work in the company for a long time,and here is the opportunity"Sophia said excitedly.


"I have to go get ready for work early",she said as she got down from her bed to prepare for work.


She went to the bathroom,took a shower,after showering,she walked to her wardrobe,took a pink top and Black skirt that brought out her curvy shape, totally meant for an office work, simple but decent.


After dressing and applying light makeup,she looked at herself in the mirror and smiled at how beautiful she looked.


After she was done preparing,she headed to the kitchen where her mum was preparing breakfast.


"morning mum", Sophia greeted as she pecked her mum on her cheeks.


"morning Sophia,how was your night, hope you slept well?"Mrs Anna asked.


"Yes mum,I slept well,am so excited about my new job mum",Sophia said spirited.


"I know honey, it's written all over your face", Mrs Anna said smiling at her daughter.


"sit down and have breakfast, I'll soon be done making the pancakes"


" wow mum, you are even making my favorite breakfast meal, you are the best mum", Sophia said excitedly.


" You know today is your first day of work, you should be in a good mood. Awwn mum,thank you", Sophia said as she hugged her mum before sitting down.


" Where's dad and Ella?", Sophia asked.


"He went to work early,as for your sister, she's getting ready for school,she should be done soon".


  Sophia's dad, Mr James Leon is the CEO of Leon software company,he has been going to the company early this days to settle some matters because the company has been going through some ups and downs lately.


"Good morning mum,good morning sis", Ella said as she entered the kitchen looking prepared for school.


"Good morning dear,how was your night?", Mrs Anna asked.


Ella sat down and she and Sophia started gisting about how excited Sophia is about her new job.


" You two stop talking and eat or you'll both be late", said Mrs Anna.


Pum pum...."that's my cue,the school bus is here",Ella said as she stood up to leave.


"Bye mum, bye sis"Ella said as she left.


"Bye, take care", Sophia said as she stood up to leave too as she did not want to be late.


"Good luck honey, you'll do great", Mrs Anna said as she watched Sophia leave.
