Chapter 34

"So, do you like the deal?" John asked, with a smirk on his face, he knew Jason won't be able to say a no to that. He glanced at Austin who was leaning on the window with his arms crossed, a deadly expression on his face.

John knew he was the one who once tried to kill him, 'You will pay for that.' He smirked at Austin.

"Why should I trust you?" Jason stated, as he walked towards John, "Because you don't have any other option!" John replied as a matter of fact.

Jason glared at him, John got up from his chair and stood in front of him, "I will give you that place if..." John placed his hand on Jason's shoulder and said, "You let my daughter have the first place in tomorrow's test and eliminate that girl!"

"What makes you think I will do that?" Jason questions as he pushes John's hand away from his shoulder.

"Well, as I remember you were ready to do anything for that place." John smirked, as he recalled how this boy, who is showing such an attitude, was a mess in that very place.

Jason clenched his fist, trying to stop the memories of his past, "Don't you think you are crossing the line, old man!" Austin interfered, he was standing quietly from the start, but he couldn't let this man walk over his friend, right in front of him.

"Tomorrow is just the start of the contest and you want your daughter to have the first place." Austin chuckled, "Austin is right, in the future there are going to be a lot of tests for them to prove their worth, what will you do then?" Jason questioned.

"If you keep giving such offers for your daughter, believe me old man, you will lose everything you have!" Austin stated.

"Well, you don't have to worry about me." John snapped at him.

"Just tell me Jason will you do it or not?"

"What if I don't? Jason challenges, John smirked and answered, "Then I will sell that place to someone else!"

Jason watched as John walked out his cabin not before glaring at them, he knew John doesn't give empty threats so if he said he will sell it to someone else he definitely will.

"Will you let Sarah win?" Austin questions with a pissed off look on his face, making Jason smile, there are only few people in this world who have such friends, the type who will be angrier than you because of someone who hurt you. "Will you answer me?"

"Do you think we have any option?" Jason questioned, making Austin groan, "Then what about our plan?"

"What about it, we will continue as we planned!" Jason replied, "But he wants to remove Claire out of the contest!" Austin snapped at his friend, who was sitting calmly.

"Trust me I already have everything planned." Jason assured him.

Claire was all dressed up for the day, today was the first official start of the contest, she was damn nervous.

She knew there are going to be a lot of journalists waiting to ask them questions.

"Why are you so beautiful!" Daisy exaggerated, keeping her hands on her chest making Claire roll her eyes.

"I think Mr. Kenwood should just choose you already." Claire didn't say anything, she was still angry on Jason.

She noticed how beautifully Daisy has styled her today, her yellow knee length dress was complimenting her complexion with white heels, she was wearing pearl earrings with a light makeup highlighting her eyes. Her hair was in a tight low ponytail.

"Let's go, you don't want to be late, right?" Daisy asked, both of them walked out of her room.

Claire noticed there were a lot of cameras today, as she walked down the stairs, some people clicked her pictures, making her nervous.

'Why does it feel like I'm a celebrity?' Claire thought.

Soon Daisy left her alone, Claire noticed there were a lot of chairs for them, she went to one of the chairs and was about to sit when she heard, "Isn't she the one who pushed Sarah?" One of the journalists whispered.

"Yes, she is I heard she even put a lot of chilies in Srah's food, and she was sick for weeks!"

Claire could not believe there were such rumors going on about her, she knew it was definitely Sarah and her so called friends, who might have done this, 'Wow, I already have a bad reputation!'

Claire sat down on her chair, she didn't really care about what they said, she saw Sarah coming towards her with a smile on her face, "Is she possessed?" Claire mumbled, she was shocked to see, she was coming towards her.

Sarah stood in front of her and said, "How are you, Claire?"

"We see each other everyday Sarah, how will I be?" Claire replied sweetly, "Oh, we do but I heard you came very late last night, so I was just worried about you!" Sarah said, quiet loudly, getting the attention of a lot of people.

"I-" Before Claire could say anything, someone said, "She was with me."

"Grandma." Claire mumbled, she saw Scarlett walk towards her with a glare on her face, "Why are you spreading rumors Sarah?" Scarlett asked.

"Grandma I-" Sarah was speechless, she never thought Claire would be with grandma. "Leave this conversation here, and I hope you won't do this again?"

Sarah just nodded her head and left them alone not before glaring at Claire, Scarlett took Claire away from the crowd, "Grandma why did you lie?" Claire asked, "Because I didn't want them to know you were with Jason?" Claire blushed a bit, when she saw her smirking.

"It's not like t-"

"Oh, sweetheart I know everything," Scarlett said, smiling at her, "Now don't think about anything, and just concentrate on the questions they might ask, okay."

Claire nodded her head and walked inside, she sat down on her chair and saw Sarah sitting beside her, everyone was waiting for Jason as he was a bit late because of some work. "We are sorry for the delay, but Mr. Kenwood will be here soon." Phil announced.

Claire noticed a small smirk on Scarlett's face, 'Something is going to happen!'
