Ch. 25: The Cost of Overwhelming Power Part 3

It's been two days since I first came to the Vesca village and I have pretty much acclimated to its environment and its people. The village Elder, who was named Mathayas, has been talking to me on a daily bases, and is seemingly trying to get me to open up on how I became as strong as I am, even though I'm just eleven years old. I tend to deflect his questions by telling him that I just happen to have high grade magic items that can boost my mana pool. Since he doesn't appear to be well verse in magical abilities, Elder Mathayas seemed to buy into my lie.

I also asked the elder what happened to the escorts I left tied up in the forest. I felt horrified to learn that they were killed by other monsters within the forest. He said that he and the men in the village buried their remains in the forest.
