Both of their arrival.

A young man looked in the mirror to see his reflection. The reflection looked rather prideful than the other days when he barely took care of himself.

Who is the man standing before the mirror in uniform?

It's me! A police officer who is going to his office for the first time! Good job young man! You did great. Now mother will be happy to see me in this uniform just like father, right mother?

The young man then looked at the picture of his dead family with a bright smile and again said, "I can't be late on my first day, can I? I will take my leave now, mother, father, little brother. I'll be back home soon!"

I took my coat and ate my small bread coated with jam on both sides and closed the door. My life as a proud police officer begins!!

The sky was bright, the day was nice and beautiful as freshly bloomed flowers. It was the best day of Kayl's life.

Kayl is an orphan who lost his family in a traffic accident back in 2015. He was only a high school student back then so he stayed in his uncle's place until graduation. After that, he studied so hard for 4 straight years and finally, his hard work finally gave its sweetest fruit.

I wonder how mom and dad would react if they were alive now and saw me wearing a uniform. I bet mom would cry and dad would probably try to ignore me because he is not good with this type of situation. He would go inside his room, lock the door and start to dance.

I couldn't stop my smile so I walked all the way to my office laughing like a clown on the street. Then I took a deep breath and said, "Good morning, everyone! I'm Kayl South, newly joined officer, here for my first duty!"

Everyone welcomed me with bright smiles. And that was the sign that this is going to be my family until I retire. A happy big family.

Below the ground, a filthy place filled with bugs is my home. I don't have a king-size bed here like I used to have back in my house. I don't have a separate toilet filled with a sweet odour like I used to have back in my house. I can't stretch my arms like I used to do before because now, they are chained.

I am a prisoner who is enjoying my life in the 4th jail. It's been 2 years since I've become a prisoner.

It's not like I was forced to become one. I'm a prisoner because I turned myself in. I am a gangster who runs a huge black market. My customers are mostly from high-class families. They love my drug, the women I supply them, the men I assist them with, I am the king of the underworld who is waiting for the bigger picture here.

But the way they are treating me is unbelievable.

At that moment, I saw a group of men running towards my cell and opened the door quickly. Then a police officer unlocked the chain from my hand and covered my body with a warm towel.

I felt like my back touched some steam after a long time.

The police officer said, "Please follow us. We will take you to district 4 now."

'District 4?' I mumbled and then recalled something. 'I guess I am being moved to another prison. I hope they treat me well now if they want to have a better product next time.'

The prison bus started its engine. It's been a few months since I saw the sun shining brightly in the sky so I was looking above and sunbathing. The sunlight was coming through the jailed window of the bus but that was enough to warm up my body.

A school bus was passing by right next to the prison bus. I looked through the window to see some kids but I guess it was a high school bus.

The row next to the window was the girls so some girls looked at me through their open window. A girl with straight long hair was sitting right next to me so she glanced at this distraction.

Then she again looked at me to see clearly and her eyes became fixed on my face. I can't say that I'm confident with my look but what my dad said so many years ago still rings inside my head. I trust my father with my soul so I still believe in his words.

He said that I am his greatest product from all of his wives' children. So I can say that I'm still a handsome man since I'm just 29 years old. Staying away from the sunlight for 2 years has made my charm more attractive. I should thank my dad for his genes.

The girl gazed at me with her wide eyes and then waved at me. The traffic light turned green then so my bus started to run. It was accelerating fast so I waved back with both of my hands since they were together with a handcuff. Then I smiled back at her.

After that, the prison bus passed quickly so I never saw the girl on the road after that. Their school bug might have taken a 90° turn back then.

After sitting on the empty bus for over an hour, I saw a huge area secured with high boundaries, armed people walking all over the area and sending out reports through their radios every two minutes.

I guess this is the place where the worst criminals live. They sure made a good place for me to have some fun. But why didn't they move me here in the first place? Did they face some political interference? I am sure it was that old man's plan. He had some grudge against me so I guess this was his revenge. I will have a nice chat with him when I'm done with my vacation.

I looked at the guard's face while entering through the iron gate and waved at him. He didn't even look at my face so I guess he was new there. Also, I saw a person running inside with a piece of bread in his mouth hanging outside like a dog found food after a long time. His hair was messy, the wind might have caused it and then, I saw his face.

He looked familiar and then, I remembered something from a few years ago. Then I chucked and thought, 'I guess you can keep me entertained until my vacation is over, brown head.'
