Get Out.

Alicia stops a car and went to Marie's place. Marie is in shock to see Alicia like this because they talked like 4 hours ago and everything was fine then. She gives Alicia a cup of tea and tells her to go rest. Alicia really appreciated the fact that Marie didn't bother her with a long list of questions instead she understands her situation. The night is longer than Alicia expected it to be, she kept on thinking about Laura and Brian and what they are doing right now. Disgusting ideas are constantly crossing her mind. She kept imagining them doing things that disturbed her to the core. The whole night, Alicia is in shock at what just happened to her. While crying and sobbing over the dead body of her marriage, she fell asleep.

The next morning, Marie enters the room, "Wake up! Sunshine." Marie said singly.

"I am not in the mood," Alicia replied.

"Wake up." Marie insisted and pulled Alicia out of the bed.

"I am first going to brush my teeth," Alicia said and enters the bathroom.

After a while, she came back.

"Thank you for letting me crash here without any quiz session." Alicia hugged Marie.

"No issue, stay here as long as you wanted," Marie replied.

"Hand me the coffee." Alicia points out at the coffee mug and Marie passed her the cup.

"I know, you are dying to know the details, and I am sure you haven't slept well as well." Alicia weakly smiled at Marie.

"Yesterday, I find out that Brian is getting promoted and I decided to throw him a surprise but to my surprise, he brought his lady love home. And it was no one other than the office bitch, "Laura". And he kicked me out of the house because I slapped Laura, I guess." Alicia's voice become low to unhearable and she started crying.

Marie jumped in and hugged her.

Later, that day; both Alicia and Marie went out for shopping to distract Alicia from constantly thinking about Brian and his lady love. But Alicia is fond of them, she even after trying cannot get over the fact that she is no longer with Brian.

Many days, actually months passed by, but Alicia kept on digging inside, she fell into depression, she lost an unbelievable amount of weight, and she lost interest in each and everything around her. Marie tried her best to help Alicia out but failed miserably.

After, 3 months; Marie came to Alicia and told her that,

"Honey! I am going for a business in Oklahoma. My mother is being a pain about you staying here. I know and I tried everything to blow her off but I can't any longer. I tried to shift you to my friend's but that shit wants to rent. At this point, all I can do is get you a job." Marie.

"I will try to contact my parents, I can't do a job or live alone. I am awful." Alicia screamed at Marie.

"I am sorry for saying this, but you have spent more than enough time to get over that bastard. Now, get up and "get out" and stop living off people." Marie shouted back at her.

"I understand, she kept telling me that too. You have helped me in such a hard time, even though I no longer want to be a burden to you. I will try to reach my brother and stay with him. Thanks for everything till now." Alicia

"You are not any burden, it's just my mother." Marie.

"Just a last Favour or help, get me a job." Alicia.

"I will, just give me a day," Marie said and hugged Alicia.

"Forever grateful to you, I love you," Alicia whispered to Marie.

Marie called people and managed to get Alicia a job. Alicia could find a job but she has never done that, before. She is the only daughter; her parents support her financially. Even, after marrying Brian, her father used to send her money every month. When Brian told them, that Alicia is the reason, they are no longer together; they stopped supporting her or talking to her.

Brian lied to her parents because his boss is friends with Alicia's father and he didn't want to look bad in front of society; that's why he took the advantage of Alicia's depression and made her the bad guy.

The next day, Alicia tried to reach his brother but he didn't answer her. She kept on trying but, no reply. While Marie got a job as a sales manager. Alicia starts preparing for her interview tomorrow and got busy with details and preparation; while preparing she realized that, this is a good way to get over her depression. She will just throw herself into work and get busy.

The next day, she starts getting ready and went for an interview. When she entered, the hall is filled with people ready for giving out interviews. Her confidence starts going below per second. She went to the café in the building and ordered the coffee, while sipping coffee, some girl comes to her and asked to sit next to her.

"Hy! You are pretty." She spoke.

"Thank you, so are you." Alicia smiled.

"What are you here for? Interview?" She asks.

"Yes, actually. How do you know?" Alicia asks back.

"I work here, but I never saw you here." She answers.

"Ok, what post are you working on?" Alicia questions.

"I am a digital marketing expert." She smiled and continues,

"I have got to go, good to see you. Good luck." She says and left.

Alicia starts liking the space, and her confidence also starts boosting up. She then went back to the waiting area. She tries to talk with other girls but everyone is rude. Well, she gets called in for an interview. Alicia opens the big mirrored doors and enters the interview room. There is a guy and a lady sited in front of her, behind the table.

"What is your name?" The lady asks.

"Alicia Lisa, it is," Alicia says with full confidence.

"How did you get to know about her company and this vacancy in particular?" The guy asks.

"Through my friend." Alicia's confidence went a little below.

"What makes you think, you are good for this job?" The lady questions.

"I belong to a business family and I have studied this particular field. Moreover, I have several awards for management. I am good at this stuff and this makes me confident about this job." Alicia gathered the strength and said in a little loud voice.

"Voice little now, Miss. And not the answer, we are looking for but it might work for you." The guy replied.

"If you get a target for selling 50 boxes of clothes, each box contains 20 pieces of garments, can be anything top, shorts, jeans, dress or skirts in 5 cities in a week; how will you do that?" The Lady asked.

"This question is not related to my job; my job is just to keep track of the buying and selling. And to create invoices and make sure nothing is jumbled up in sales. But, in respect of the interview, I can say, I will reach out to influencers for promoting our products. I will ask credible writers for mentioning our products in their respective articles and the most popular, I will ask the media manager to create and introduce a trend. Through all these popular means, we will successfully sell out the products. And if not work, we will generate a sale on clothing and in that way, instead of selling 1000 garments; we will be able to sell up to 1500 garments." Alicia confidently said and the interviewers are in shock. They look at each other and share a smirk.

"We will let you know soon." The guy said.

Alicia is confident about her interview and she is sure to get the job. And it did happen, she got the job.

She starts working and asks Marie to let her stay for a week more until she finds a place to rent. After a week, Marie finds Alicia a place to rent and helped Alicia with her first rent. Alicia quickly shifted to the new place. Alicia didn't visit the place before so when she grabbed her stuff and reached the house, she entered;

The two-room apartment, with broken taps and a chipped floor. She is mad at Marie for not telling her, what the apartment looks like. Then, she realized that Marie wants to get rid of her. Alicia is upset about it but she understands the fact that Marie has helped her a lot in past with her mother's constant argumentations and everything, and Alicia decides to live here and repair the house. Alicia along with her office job joins a part-time waitress job for extra savings and to return debts. It is hard for her because she has never worked before and this is too much. And the worse of all is that Marie is not with her, because she is on a business trip of her. After working hard for months, Alicia finally created a living space for herself. She thoughts to give up on the job because of over-stress and overwork but then, she didn't because extra time or free time= missing Brian. After 8 months, Marie came back from her trip and visits Alicia, who btw is an accomplished, woman. Alicia prepared a fresh homemade dinner for Marie.

She prepares the Cheese loaded pasta for Marie. She is decorating everything when there is a knock on the door.

"Coming!" Alisia.

Alicia opens the door, and Marie is standing there, with happiness reflecting on her face.

"Bitch! I missed you." Marie

"Look, how much you have developed." Marie continued.

Both walked into the lounge, where Alicia set up the dinner.

"I am starving, let's eat." Marie smells the aroma and speaks.

"I missed you." Alicia with a damp voice says.

Both start their dinner; Marie is talking about her trip and then she mentions her brother.

"I met your brother." Marie.

"David?" Alicia asks in shock.

"Yup, he is hot." Marie smiles.

"What is he doing there?" Alicia asks.

"I don't know, some seminar." Marie answers.

"Did he recognize you? Or did you recognize him?"

"Actually, he did," Marie tells Alicia.

"Did he ask about me?" Alicia in a lower tone asks.

"Yes, he did and he told me that he has changed his number, btw I gave him your number and address. He told me that he will visit me." Marie tells Alicia.

"Ok," Alicia said while lost in thoughts.

Both enjoyed dinner and partied, gossiped and had fun for the night.

The next day, Alicia as usual gets ready and attends the office. When she comes back home, there is a surprise for her. It's her brother on her door.

"David?" Alicia asks suspiciously.

"Hy, Lisa" He smiles.

"What are you doing here?" Alicia.

"Came to meet you." David.

Come get in, she opens the door and both enter the house.

"You live here?" David.

"Yes." Alicia.

"Isn't it small for a princess?" David.

"No, it's perfect."

"You work?" David.

"Yeah! Actually, two jobs." Alicia.

"Amazing." David.

"Make yourself comfortable, I will prepare something to eat." Alicia.

"Oh, I miss your cooking." David.

Alicia quickly made dinner and both siblings enjoyed it. Alicia explains to him, how everything happened and what is the equation and tells her about his life. Both has a great time and David went off. On his way back, David thought how good it will be if Alicia shifts with him. She works and thus can help him financially and she cooks, so he won't have to. How all of his problems will vanish only if she moves in. He decided to ask her to shift with him. He knew that Alicia won't say no because she is a sucker for luxuries.

He did as he planned, he went the next day to meet her again and offered her to come and stay with him. She as expected, agreed with him and she didn't even tell Marie about it. The next day, she moved her stuff to his place. Her brother is living in a bungalow, purchased by their father. She hoped that if she stays with her brother, she might get to talk to and meet her parents. Her brother also told her that he will talk to their parents but he never did.

Weeks went by and Alicia without realizing become the bread-earner as well as maid of the house. Marie tried to contact her, but she dodged her calls and texts because Alicia knew that Marie will be mad. Marie one day reached her office to meet her and caught her red-handed. Alicia then, told Marie the whole story and as expected, Marie is mad with her but she respected her decision. Soon, Alicia got promoted and left the part-time job, she is doing. Availability of time made Alicia feel lonely, she wanted someone but she is not ready for commitment.

She asked Marie, what to do and Marie told her to do "Casual dating". It is a great way for killing time and enjoying life when you are not ready for commitment. Marie told Alicia about an app, that will help her to find people.

Alicia first felt like not doing it, but her aloneness is killing her and she really wanted to do that. She told Marie that she is not going to do it but ended up doing that. At first, she didn't like anyone on the app but seeing her brother bringing his friends and different girls pushed her urge to be with someone. She never did casual dating or meaning fewer relationships because, since high school, she was committed to Brian. Most of the guys on the app are tattooed, gangster type, she didn't prefer this type but decided to try it once.
