"Hey." Even if Desu was calling for Juho, he was still staring out of nowhere. It was already days since he had passed out, but still, he wanted to remember everything that happened inside the forest and how he ended up lying on the ground outside of it. He clearly remembered that he was tied up when Haeju left him inside. It's impossible that he could crawl or walk because he wasn't just tied freely but to the dead tree. "Hello, earth to Juho!" He came back to his senses when he felt someone pinch him on the nose softly. He sneezed and looked the suspect, as usual, it was Desu.
"Were you saying something?" he asked. Desu made a face at the empty table in front of him.
"You have been spacing out lately. Are you okay?" he was asked back. "I've been noticing it since that day," she added.
"What exactly happened that day?" he asked aloud. Desu shrugged and leaned against the backrest of the chair.
"You really don't remember anything?" a curious and worried, Desu asked. He nodded.
"I was on the dead tree when they left me. How come I was in the ground right when you found me?" he wondered. "Something is not right," he added. Desu sniffed.
"Did you encounter someone inside? A lady, perhaps?" Desu asked and leaned on the table. He looked up and met Desu's tantalizing eyes and shook his head.
"I remembered no one, Desu. Only the encounter between me and Haeju," he answered.
A lady? What's with the lady? What will she do inside the dark and scary forest? Another question came up inside Juho's head. There are many questions, but it is too difficult to find an answer.
"What about the lady?" he asked Desu, who was eating. They were at the cafeteria. It's lunch time, so they need to eat before going back to the open field for an open training fight.
Desu smiled and directly fed him four pieces of grapes. "You need to eat to regain your energy, Juho. We will be having a fight later." It is too difficult to find an answer because every time he asks for strange questions, they divert and change the topic.
After they ate their lunch, they immediately headed into the open field. Juho was holding his danju sword and stick. From his previous days, he learned a lot. Danju uses two weapons when it comes to fighting: a sword and a stick. The sword is the source of the user's soul power, while the stick is the source of physical strength and ability. Yet, the stick has its own specific color for each user. And Juho has black and spiraling red. It will usually come out when the energy of the stick feels the power of its user. That happens after the leaders give the stick to the users.
Juho's opponent now was Erin. It was the second time he had seen him. Erin seemed a quiet person, and Juho, on the other hand, rarely went out of his room, so basically, he had no time to interact with other students. He will only go outside if he has a need to eat, study, or train. He will then go inside his room or to the beach to distract himself from thinking about the special something inside him.
"We meet again, Juho," Erin's emotionless voice greeted him. He seemed uninterested. "I heard that you were possessed," he said. Juho's eyebrows raised.
"Where did you hear that?" he asked curiously. "Possessed? What am I? Part of exorcism? You wronged me," he added. Erin scoffed.
"Being possessed is not all about exorcism. You might have some dark power inside you," Erin replied. Juho's face changed a sudden expression. "Easy, that's what everyone talks about. It's not my intention to hear it. I'm not even interested," he then added to take back what he had said.
"I am not possessed with dark power. The professors already got rid of it," Juho said to make himself clear. Erin nodded.
"If you say so. Shall we start—is that..." Erin pointed out his stick. "What the..." He even stepped back. "I can't fight with you," he said.
"What? Come on, you're so boring," Juho teased. Even if it was a relief, Juho still wanted to practice. He decided to explore more to discover his hidden ability. He wanted to prove that he was someone that everyone should respect. Professor Kim was right. He should explore and accept it.
Erin sighed "Let's use a sword if you don't mind," he suggested. He agreed. They started the training. Erin couldn't stop the sweat flowing from his forehead, not because of the sun rays but because he knew the meaning of Juho's stick color.
Erin managed to hit Juho's arm, which gave him a wound. It's not that big, but it's still bleeding. But still, they continued to train until Juho cornered Erin.
"How can a newcomer like you know about swordfighting?" Erin said. He just smirked.
"Surprised that much?" Juho scoffed. Erin looked at Erin. He was more like examining him. "Dude, I'm not gay," he said, avoiding Erin's uncomfortable stares. Erin dropped his jaw.
"And so I am. Gross," he immediately replied, and he took one step behind to stay away from Juho. "I was just wondering. I heard from Desu that you don't want to be here because you said you are just normal," he defended.
"What? I never said I did not want to be here. I was asking if why I was here. That's so much different," he responded. Erin nodded.
"So you like to be here?" Erin asked. Juho looked at him for a second and nodded.
"Sort of. It's quite amazing," he replied.
"Sure," Erin hesitantly said. "But it is still odd that a normal person, like you, knew some steps of Danju and Kansae," he added.
"Kansae?" Juho curiously asked. Erin showed off his sword and placed it near Juho's neck. Juho instantly made himself step back. "What the hell, bro?" he nervously said.
"It's a form of self-defense using both swords, sticks, and martial arts, mostly feet," Erin explains. He was stunned and curious once again.
He started wondering. He basically knew those practices in just a few seconds. What is he exactly?
"Are you the missing legendary?" Erin asked curiously, and that made him divert his gaze instantly.
"What?" he suddenly uttered.
