Luo Yin

The Imperial Army's Admiral, Luo Yin, froze for a moment when he stepped onto the bridge, standing riveted in place in spite of himself.

The depths of starry skies were before him with countless points of light scattered across the vast expanse, seeming to envelop his entire body.

He muttered to himself, "It's been so long, and yet it seems so unforgettable."

For a moment, he stood there silent, but an instant later, the illusion that he was floating in an infinity of blackness disappeared.

The bridge of the Custom Made Flagship Infallible was designed in the form of a gigantic hemisphere, the upper half of the bridge was a single display screen, providing a panoramic view of the surroundings.

The Flagship itself was entirely specifically designed for him as a Young Admiral, and served as the symbol of his Ink Dragon Fleet.

Dragging his senses away from the sky and back down to the ground, Luo Yin took another look around the bridge.

The illumination in the vast chamber was extremely muted, creating a crepuscular dimness.

The crew was bustling around, attending to their duties amidst countless screens, consoles, meters, computers, and communication devices of all sizes.

Their movements brought to mind groups of migratory fish swimming in the currents.

Luo Yin's nostrils detected the faint tang of an almost imperceptible odor, one that soldiers in the Warships were familiar with.

It was the odor of the adrenaline secreted by tense soldiers who would soon be facing combat trapped in a layer of atmosphere created within the Flagship.

The young man turned to face the center of the bridge and walked toward it with long strides.

As he walked, several men older than himself greeted him and bowed their heads.

Although he held the rank of Admiral, Luo Yin was not yet twenty-one, and he had seen several men in the military who were above the age of twenty-five but held lower ranks.

From time to time, it bothered him that his age and his rank were so out of proportion to one another. But he didn't give too much thought to it.

After all, the matters he had to deal with were too much for him to have time to care about such things.

Luo Yin observed the surroundings as tension built up among the soldiers and realized that the much-awaited battle was about to commence.

He proceeded towards the center of the Bridge, where Lieutenant Commander Lin Feng and his subordinates were eagerly waiting for his arrival.

As he approached, everyone stood up to greet him. He gestured for them to sit down and inquired about the enemy's movements in a friendly tone.

"So, Did the enemies make their move?" Luo Yin sat on his command chair and Inquired them in a friendly manner.

"Yes, sir! It's the battle formation of the rebel military. According to the reports from three of our surveillance Starships, they are closing in on our forces from three directions. May I use the Starship's command display?" Lieutenant Commander Lin Feng Hurriedly informed.

In reply, Luo Yin nodded, and Lieutenant Commander Lin Feng moved his fingers rhythmically over the command display.

On the display screen occupying the left half of the Starship's command display, four arrows floated into existence, positioned at the top, middle, lower left, and lower right sides of the screen, and all were advancing toward the center.

Only the arrow on the middle of the screen was colored green. The other three were red.

Luo Yin analyzed the situation and deduced the enemy's weaknesses. His face lit up with a smile as he whispered to himself, "So, it's like that..." He stood in silence, waiting for Lin Feng to finish his work.

Lieutenant Commander Lin Feng diligently worked on the display and meticulously calculated the total number of enemy ships and the time it would take for the Flagship Infallible and the Ink Dragon Fleet to reach them.

"Sir, the enemy fleet comprises a staggering number of forty thousand vessels and they're strategically encircling us by attacking from three different directions." Lin Feng reported.

Lieutenant Commander Lin Feng successfully calculated the total size of the Enemy forces and didn't seem to feel much happy about it.

With a grave expression, he informed Luo Yin, who seemed unfazed by the daunting news.

"In total, forty thousand ships? That's twice the size of our fleet and I suppose our senile old coots must have gone pale … or red, perhaps." Luo Yin said with a spiteful grin.

Luo Yin extremely disliked those five admirals, they always got in his way as they didn't think that he was worthy of the position of an Admiral, at least right now, as Young as he was, he definitely wasn't worthy enough in their eyes.

"They are pale, without a doubt. Incidentally, the five admirals have come here in haste to request a meeting with Your Excellency." Lin Feng informed Luo Yin.

Luo Yin replied with a smile, "After insulting me by saying that they didn't even want to see my face?"

Lin Feng asked, "Do you decline to meet with them?"

"No, I'll see them. It's important to enlighten them. Let them come here." Luo Yin replied, visibly annoyed and ruthless in his way of words.

"Yes, Your Excellency!" Lin Feng nodded and turned to call the five admirals.

As they were dangerously close to the enemy fleets, there was no way to retreat. They had to face the enemies head-on, even if it meant facing death.

Lin Feng didn't want any issues to arise between Luo Yin and the admirals. Any infighting would be detrimental and disadvantageous for their mission.
