Chapter 12 – I will certainly break this cold façade of yours soon big sis Guanting

Li Yu was surprised by the strange look he was from his classmates the next day.

He couldn't help but scratch his head in awkwardness;

"Bro, did I look more handsome today?!"

Lu Yu couldn't help but ask Huizhong.

"Quite being narcissistic bro."

Li Yu and Huizhong were sitting in their position in the corner of the classroom.

Nothing has changed, apart from the fact that the two, Li Yu in specific had begun to gain attention from their classmates.

That's definitely a huge change because Li Yu and Huizhong were mostly invisible to everyone before.

Huizhong Laughed at Li Yu mockingly.

"You bro, have you written what the English teacher told you to write?"

Huizhong suddenly muttered to Li Yu, while looking around nervously, as if scared that someone might hear her.

"F*ck," Li Yu exclaimed in shock. He had totally forgotten that big sis Guanting had given him an assignment.

Li Yu immediately felt a chill run on his skin when he remembered the cold voice.

"Quickly, give me a pen and a paper, I need to start writing as soon as possible before she enters the class."

Li Yu was now in haste to quickly get it done.

He had just begun writing what the teacher told him to write when he suddenly felt the class become quiet.

Looking up with a start, Li Yu saw her standing by the door, looking at him emotionlessly.

Li Yi felt really awkward now, he wasn't expecting her to come so soon.

"Good- good morning ma."

Li Yu stood up awkwardly and scratched his chin in embarrassment.

"I- I was just about coming to your office teacher."

Good, you can follow me now Mr. Li."

Immediately after the teacher uttered that statement, she walked out silently, as if she had never come in the first place.

"Hehehe, he deserved that, he dared not come to school yesterday when the teacher told him to submit something."

The class began to mock Li Yu happily, not giving a f*ck at all.

"Good luck bro." Huizhong was trying to hide the smile on his face, but he did not succeed at all. So he hurriedly wished his brother good luck and hid his head on his desk."

Li Yu shook his head helplessly at this and followed behind his big sister Guanting.

Although Teacher Kuang does not recognize Li Yu, would Li Yu who had experienced her good heart firsthand not do?

Instead of feeling scared or sad, what Li Yu was feeling now could be called anticipation.

He followed at least ten steps behind teacher Kuang and watched her back as he reminisced the past, about him and her, or should we call it the future? ;-)

Not knowing how long it took, Li Yu finally stopped when Teacher Kuang stopped before an office.

She opened the office door and walked in, not looking back from the start, as if she does not know that someone was following her.

She walked to her seat and sat down, looking at Li Yu that stood outside the door coldly.

"Do you need me to beg you before you enter, Mr. Li?!"

"Oh- oh, I'm sorry ma'am, I do not want to barge in since you haven't told me to do so."

Li Yu walked inside in embarrassment, but also in anticipation.

"You can have your seat, Mr. Li."

Teacher Kuang picked a document from the desk before her and began to browse through it while indicating for Li Yu to seat on a chair in her front, of the desk.

Li Yu walked quietly to the chair and sat down.

"Everything is still the same as in my memory."

Li Yu was currently looking around with tears in the corner of his eyes.

"This is the place where sister Guanting always tutors me in those days."

Li Yu looked at the neat and simple office with deep feelings.

He was so lost in thought that he couldn't hear teacher Kuang calling him.

"Boom!!!"

Li Yu was suddenly scared back to awareness when he heard a loud sound that sounded like a bomb or so.

He looked hurriedly to search for the source of the sound and saw that it was his big sister Kuang that pounded her first heavily on the desk.

"Mr. Li, I can see that you enjoyed my office so much, to even dared sit down comfortably and lost in thought."

Teacher Kuang was so mad at that moment, that she commented sarcastically at Li Yu.

Teacher Kuang was just 21 years old this year, so due to her being from a rich family, she was able to finish her master's degree at a young age. She studied English Language at Harvard University.

Due to the passion she had for her country and the less privileged, she decided to come back home to be a teacher.

She, a daughter of a minister actually took an ordinary teaching job in a high school that was ranked at the lowest bottom.

Forgot to mention, that many people feared teacher Kuang due to her family background.

She would have been made the principal of the school from the beginning if she so much wished, but she denies it and only wanted to be in charge of the less brilliant students in the school which made her become the form teacher of the dullest class.

Back to the present.

"No- no ma'am, that's not the case. I was only busy thinking about my studies," Li Yu said as a matter of fact with a straight face.

If not that Teacher Kuang had known that Li Yu was a dumb student, she would definitely have believed in what he said, but unfortunately, she was his form teacher.

Not moved at all by what Li Yu said, teacher Kuang changed the topic.

"Mr. Li, don't you have any explanations to give?!"

Teacher Kuang's voice was still as cold as ever.

"Chai... Big sister is really good at pretending to be cold, while the truth is that she is a really jovial person if known well," Li Yu thought with a smile.

"I- I don't know what you're talking about ma'am."

Li Yu decided to continue his pretend game.

"I will certainly break this cold façade of yours soon big sis Guanting." Li Yu swore happily in his heart.

Teacher Kuang was not expecting Li Yu to say this at all.

Although she did not know Li Yu that much. But she had impressions of him, due to always being quiet, and gentle, and also being one of those with the lowest scores in the class.

"Has he forgotten what I meant or was he playing oblivious with me?" Teacher Kuang thought in frustration but showed no expression at all.

She just decides to go straight to the point and stop giving this dumb student of hers any tension which does not even seem to work out at all.

Teacher Kuang, who has a child's heart was angered by the fact that Li Yu had made fun of her in class the other day. So she has sworn to make Li Yu feel frustrated and beg for his forgiveness, but it seems it's not working out at all.

"Too dumb, dull, and stupid," She thought angrily, just like a child who was not allowed to play with her favorite toy.

"Mr. Li, have you forgotten the assignment I gave you a day before yesterday, and how dare you not come to school yesterday without not making any report beforehand?"

The more Teacher Kuang spoke, the angrier she becomes.

Li Yu allowed her to finish all her questions in silence when he suddenly removed a green paper from his pants pocket.

"please check, teacher."

Li Yu respectfully placed the paper on the desk before teacher Kuang.

"What's this, how dare you just…."

Teacher Kuang was not able to finish her statement when she suddenly stopped due to seeing the subject on the paper.

"Chenguang city hospital."

Teacher Kuang read the content of the report in silence and couldn't help but become embarrassed.

"So he was hospitalized. Hadn't I been too hard on him?! As a teacher, shouldn't I know that my student was not doing good?! I'm a bad teacher. A teacher is supposed to be a friend, mentor, and parent to their students, but what am I?!"

Teacher Kuang began to blame herself in remorse.

She felt as if she failed her job as a teacher.

She felt like it was her fault that she did not try to ask for her student when she didn't see him in school. She had forgotten that it should have been the student or their parents that should have reported to the school if anything had gone wrong.

Li Yu immediately knew what the teacher was thinking when he saw her wrinkled and barely recognized sad face, he immediately felt bad for playing with his teacher's emotion.

"I'm sorry for not informing you teacher, but I couldn't because I felt unconscious a day before yesterday."

"No- no, I was not your fault, I was the one at fault."

Teacher Kuang said in a guilty tone which would have scared anybody in the school to death if they had heard that, but unfortunately apart from Li Yu who was not new to such a tone, no other person was given the privilege of hearing it.

"Please, don't blame yourself ma, I should have reported to you after I woke up yesterday."

Li Yu immediately regretted it when that sentence fell from his mouth, he knew that his big sister would use any advantage to destroy any self-blame.

And true to his thought, teacher Kuang immediately began to defend herself after she heard what Li Yu said.

"That's right, why do I have to blame myself? It was his fault for not reporting to me that he was unconscious. In fact, wasn't it written in the report letter that what he felt was only a blackout, and nothing more."

She immediately resumed back her cold look.

"As I thought."

Li Yu thought in regret for losing the upper hand against his big sis Guanting.
