"what's taking them this long, they should've been back by now..." a man with dark hair said tapping this fingers on his desk. worry writing all over his face.
"buzz buzz..."
"yes blaze did you kill him..."
...
there was a pause from the other side as everywhere was quiet until the latter spoke.
"i-i didn't kill him."
there was a frown on the receiver's side.
"but i left him on planet Venus, so he's as good as dead anyways." blaze answered emotionless.
"i see... any casualties?."
....
"while we were torturing him, a lv 30 Venus desert worm attacked us, i managed to survive, but K-koby and Fe-ng didn't make it." blaze stuttered a little, while saying his dead friend's name. he still had some regrets, after losing them just yesterday.
"i understand..." there wasn't any sad emotions, from the male voice on the watch blaze wore, hearing the deaths, of koby and feng.
"i'll personally take care of their families, thank you for your help blaze, i'll send someone to reward you for the task."
"d-on't bother t-they weren't important anyways...."
blaze said cutting the call on the receivers ear.
"ahhh..." blaze roared in anger. "a-am useless i couldn't even save koby or feng."
"bam!" he punched the wall in front of him, a hole was made, as blood trickled down his injured hand. he was in tears, from the pain of losing his friends.
every time, he thought of the monster drip turned into. he couldn't help but shudder a bit, the way he stared into those dead eyes, made him realize something he never thought he had.
"i-I've never felt so afraid before in my entire life..."
blaze was strong, talented, courageous, and all. but the one thing he never knew was fear.
but every time he thought of drip, he's heart would thump loudly.
"that boy.. just what the heck was he.." blaze pondered, holding his head facing downward.
"i-i must get revenge..."
...
"fuck!" the man on the other side said, slamming his fists on the table, breaking it into two.
"that fucking brat, cut the call on me..." he sighed.
"calm down Barry, everything will soon fall in place."
"but how did it sense them?." the man pondered, beasts were terrifying things that evolved, with the mana around them. the higher the lv, the stronger the beast.
"but a Venus worm, can only sense auras and movements in the sand, so how did such a powerful worm detect them...."
he wondered in his mind, thinking of all the possibilities, he could come up with.
the student he had allegedly asked them to kill, was nothing of a threat to them, so he was guessing the only thing that came to his mind.
"unless there was a battle... but that would only mean, someone else was there."
"but who?."
"seems like that Sunny's kid, isn't telling me the whole truth..." he stood up from his chair, walking to the window staring outside.
"i'll have to visit the school sooner than planned..."
...
drip, had finally gone through the portal, and was now in the portal room his head was spinning, from passing through different planets, for the second time now.
looking round, drip didn't find blaze close by. as he knew, he would've left the scene, and gone to his room or the school's hospital.
"i'll deal with him later..."
with leo still on his back, he was looking for an exit. more particularly, the secret place he came out from. it didn't take long to find the passage, as it was still open.
"why is it still open?." he thought, maybe it was a trap set up by blaze, or the person he took orders from.
he didn't want to take any chances. even though he's now a blood parasite, he still hadn't recovered fully. and he'd also, have to worry about protecting leo.
"i-i can do this..." shrugging his shoulders, he proceeded with caution, into the passage. his senses, on high alert and his claws out.
he really didn't, want to follow this way. but there were no other exit. he thought of jumping a window, but they were just really high, and he doubted he could reach it.
"phew!." drip sighed a sign of relief, as he saw the end of the tunnel. he cancelled his dark claws, and ran towards the entrance, bursting out in the academy once again.
"huh! what the-"
drip was jolted back, by the abrupt creaking sound. as the wall was closing in, immediately he stepped out.
not wanting to be there anymore, he went ahead to his camp, which wasn't far from the portal room.
"that's weird.. why aren't there any student walking about?." it was launch time, which meant time to eat. as class lectures were over, but there wasn't a single student, he saw when he passed.
"maybe they're in the canteen." that was the only conclusion, he could come up with.
either, they were in the canteen eating, or something else he didn't know had happened.
as he reached the hallway, walking down to his room, he thought of going to billy's room instead. but the latter wasn't in, cause it was locked.
"strange.." drip muttered. but dismissed the idea, he thought of.
"he's probably in the canteen.." he took his card from his skin, luckily it was still there as it stuck there, from blaze flames. he didn't know, whether to laugh or cry.
"i hope this works..." he scratched the pieces of flesh, away from the card, and slot it in.
"beep..." the light changed, from red to green. as the door opened up, he quickly entered and shut it, collapsing on the bed with leo.
"i pity leo, he never deserved all this none of us did...."
the world was a cruel place, only the strong, will survive. that was the law, of the earth. the weak were just meats, to feed on.
he who hadn't awoken an ability at 16, had high hopes for the military academy, but it turns out this place was still the same, shit hole they live in.
he checked up on leo, to see if he was ok. cause, he hadn't opened his eyes since yesterday, and luckily he was. but there was this growling sound, that continued nonstop.
"shit! he's hungry and so i am..."
drip locked the door, and rushed to the canteen. he found it weird, that not many students, were on the paths.
"w-what the hell-"
the canteen, was unusually filled with students, rows of students lined up at the counters.
"i can't wait..."
"sorry..."
"hey!."
"excuse me.. so hungry right now..."
"what the fuck man..."
"who the hell is he, he doesn't look like he's from one of the big families."
drip couldn't care less, about the angry voices behind him, he went on until he reached the counter.
"ehhm... i would like one, of everything you have, wait! make that two."
the man behind the counter, looked at him weirdly, trying to recognise him, from one of the big families. but couldn't, after about 15 secs of looking, the man finally spoke.
"that would be 500 hundred points sir..." the man bowed respectfully, holding two big bags, in his hands. thinking drip was a big shot.
drip's eyes widened in shock, as he checked his watch.
"shit i have only 50 points..."
the man's eyes, twitched with anger looking at drip, for wasting his precious time. he had first thought he was a big shot, but technically, he was a fucking nobody.
"hey.. you fucking trash..." someone grabbed drip by the collar turning him.
"r-odger..." it was the fucking bully, that had totured him all his life, when he was just, a normal individual. but it looks like, no matter where he goes, karma would always repeat itself.
"what the fuck, are you doing here you piece of shit..." rodger asked disgust in his eyes.
"boss he's a pt trainer..." one of his two goons, identified his power rank.
"ha! are you fucking kidding... did your worthless, bring you to the military, hoping you'd be like us?."
"i-i don't want any trouble." drip said turning round to leave.
"don't fucking turn your back on me..." rodger said, directing his fist towards drip's head, but a someone blocked it. before hitting rodger away, sending him into a nearby table.
"i-it's blaze park..."
"holy fuck he's here.." a girl screamed of excitement.
"but why did he help that trash..."
"who cares! it's blaze park one of the park's son."
"bullying isn't tolerated in the military school..." blaze said clenching his fists.
"he-he started it, he cut in line." one of rodger's goon interrupted.
"yeah r-odger was just trying to help." the other spoke.
"t-they're right..." a boy from the crowd said.
"yeah! we've been here for an hour.."
the weaker lvs supported rodger, and his gang mostly out of fear, because of the way, they had been treated by him.
blaze didn't say anything, and instead turned to the man, at the counter.
"give him everything he needs i'll pay for it!."
"y-yes." the man bowed, before blaze and handed over the bags to drip, with an apologetic look.
"i-i don't know what to say tha-
go leo needs it..."
drip didn't need to ponder further, turning round and heading to his room, he said. "i'll repay you somehow..."
he ran out of the canteen with speed, the wind hit some of the lower level's, knocking some out.
"t-that boy has gotten stronger..."
"woah his speed is amazing."
"yeah he's really fast."
even rodger's expression, changed to bad, seeing drip move like that
drip reached his room in less than 5 minutes, opening the door leo pounced upon him, like a wild animal.
"l-eo get off..." like a command, leo abruptly stood up, and bowed down before drip.
"t-thats strange..."
leo just stood there, bowing before drip like an obedient servant, not batting an eye at him.
"leo sit." leo like a command, sat down on the ground, his head down.
"it seems he listens to my every command..."
he does have, some similar traits like me, but i still don't get this whole loyal thing.
not wanting to deprive leo, of the food he had gotten him. he commanded him to eat, which leo rushed in like a dog, gulping down the food. his elongated sharp teeths on display.
