Sonora's POV:

Death

The ending of a life

The ceasing of breath

the still movement of a body

I opened my eyes to see sunshine

beautiful flowers

animals

then I saw my parents

I ran to them with open arms

smiling while tears ran down my face

giggling laughing

I was dead

but I wasn't

it was how my mind relaxed

by thinking I was in my happy place

The constant sound of beeps woke me and I opened my eyes to these blinding lights

I blinked so my eyes could just and I noticed I was in a hospital room

everything in this room screams royal luxury

from the ceiling to the floor

and also the power-draining cuff they had put on me

I could see bandages around my arms and legs

I couldn't see my face but I hope they fixed the shit they did too

as I was observing the door burst open and I saw his face

his face

well-defined and symmetrical his eyebrows are thick and sit just above expressive, sliver almond-shaped eyes.

his jawline is strong and chiseled, giving a rugged appearance, and it connects to a well-defined chin with a stubble

he was so amazingly perfect

he was undeniably perfect

he was majestic

"Who are you?" he asked his voice deep and powerful which immediately made me stop staring

this was embarrassing

but I kept quiet

I don't like to repeat myself he said with a low growl

"we are destined to be together I said completely ignoring his question"

I could feel him getting impatient

"I know you had someone run a check on me so I don't have to answer your question," I said looking straight into his sliver orbs

"Sonora Hale 21 parents deceased one sibling Amira Hale Vampire of the Storus Cove"

"Who are you?" I asked the same question he did when he first came in

"King Alexios ruler of the werewolves and Alpha of The Zaratava Pack"

I was fated to be with a werewolf King life just keep on throwing these plot twist I don't know if I can keep up

"I want to leave"

"you trespassed on my land you're a vampire and expected just to leave wow"

I rolled my eyes at his response I knew I couldn't leave but it never hurts to try your luck once in a while

we sat quietly

"you're cursed," he said breaking the silence with an undistinguishable emotion on his face

"yes and I won't die or stay on this land that has my people's blood on their swords," I said strongly

"I will leave or die trying"

"you will die trying for sure for I won't let a Vermin leave alive," he said and got ready to walk through the door

vermin that word used to degrade my people for years

used to make us feel beneath them

"I die and I take 10,000 more men just make sure you are not included" I retorted and turned to lay on my side

"I will leave this hell hole one way or the fucking other"

I heard the door slowly creak and a beam of light entered the dark room

I heard footsteps come closer and closer until finally a hand touched me and I jumped up startled

the light was turned on and I could see it was the little boy from earlier

"hi," he said with a toothy smile

"hey" I replied with a small smile of my own trying to hide the fact I was about to piss myself

"I know you want to leave Queen Sonora but you can't I know you're cursed and you need to go to Pondrest but you have to complete the prophecy," the young boy said and I was puzzled

"What are you talking about?"

he closed his eyes and then reopened them

his entire eyes were clear

he opened his mouth and began to speak his voice low and deep

"A Queen will arise with her beloved by her side they will walk with powerful strides

all the creatures of this land will know and bow to their King and Queen

big or small young or old

the creatures of this ruthless world will drop their weapons and their swords and cleanse their wicked hearts

the war will end and their souls will be set free

the man who you seek will perish with the hell flames and darkness in which he had embedded into himself

Sonora is the one who will end it all

and restore peace to the world."

his eyes returned to normal

"I am connected to you and what you are destined to be I am no physic but I have been having dreams of you and what the world will become if you choose to ignore your destined path

the world will crumble into chaos and destruction

the creatures of this world will either be slaves or die an excruciating death including the people you love most

he will rule" he ended off

I sat there speechless I never thought I was made for something special something more than what I already am

no one.

"stay, teach him how to love again, and how to forgive"

"how old are you?" I asked not knowing how such a young boy could be so wise

"I'm 12," he said excitedly and I chuckled

"I have to go before they realized I'm not in bed bye Sonora," he said and walked out gently closing the door behind

and the reality finally settled in

I was gonna die in this hell hole.
