Chapter 12

Sonora's POV:

I saw my body

I saw my lifeless body

I was looking down from the clouds in the sky

and looking at my dead body

I had a dagger in my heart

Amira was hysterically sobbing over my dead body

I was a grey empty vessel with black veins all over

I was dead

gone

never to be seen again

and the one who was to blame was the figure standing over my dead body.

I sat up in the bed and stared into the open space

I have to live my life in constant fear and terror

my body weakens by the hour and I fear I may not have long to live

I walked into the bathroom mindlessly then walked back to the room and sat on the bed staring into the open space once again

a sudden knock at the door alerted me and I jumped up startled

I walked up to the door and opened it to reveal Alexios

he walked in and I hadn't realized this before but having him in the same room as me was suffocating

we have tension that could never be ignored

his dominating presence took over the whole room

he stood there staring at me his eyes weirdly flashing between colors

silver and gold

"a witch from Pondrest is on her way here it would take her approximately 3 days to arrive try and live till then," he said and was on his way to walk out the door

I grabbed his arm and sparks flew all over instantly he harshly pulled his arm away from me and I was in the corner of the room with his hands around my neck

"Never put your filthy hands on me he said through gritted teeth" and I could see the anger in his eyes

as his hands wrapped together I nodded trying to get out of his strong grip

he finally released me and I fell to the ground with a thud

I was coughing and trying to catch my breath I looked and he was gone

my anger soared to high heights

maybe I was growing too comfortable in the presence of these Mutts

he needed to remind me that I was not the person he wants to be with

and I thank him

I thank him for reminding me that he is not my beloved he is not my friend he is my enemy and it should stay as such

as I stood up shakily holding my neck

I walked over to a window facing the forrest

the sun was hovering in the sky lowly

I saw children playing on the wide scope of land and I smile to myself the innocence of children is so pure

they see the world in a much different lighting

they see the world for what it isn't

which is peaceful

but innocence is something that could be taken away in an instant and scar the person for life

I glanced away from the window and looked in the mirror

I looked no better than I had before

I wanted to embrace my destiny and reveal who I am but I can't

I stood in the middle of the room

and I started to see black spots

I tried to move but my feet were rooted into the hardwood floor

the entire room was spinning uncontrollably

my breath was getting weaker

and suddenly I fell into darkness

a burst of hysterical laughter echoed in my ears

"sonoraaaaaa" a voice called out

"sonoraaaaaaa"

"Open your eyes" the voice whispered into my ear

"OPEN YOUR EYES!" the loud voice bellowed and my eyes sprang open in fear

I saw nothing but darkness

I felt the presence of someone behind me

hands ran down my back and I shivered in fear

"you will die" the voice whispered creepily in my ear

"no witch can save you now," it said with humor in its voice

"YOU WILL DIE!" the loud voice echoed through the dark emptiness

"and no one will save you

you have no one"

I was back in the room and the dark figure appeared in front of me

his arm reached out to touch my face

and the warmth of his touch felt so familiar

then it disappeared

I stood in the same spot I was in fear taking over my body

I was strong

the best warrior my coven has to offer

but I felt so weak

in a matter of weeks, this thing has taken over my mind and body

I wanted it to end

I want my life to end

to stop this constant pain and misery

to want to die

but I will get my wish soon enough

there will be no more Sonora and I will be free.
