Don't ask how Beatrice is feeling right now, because right now her heart is beating very fast. She tried to normalize her heartbeat but her efforts are still in vain and it was all because of the handsome man who is currently right beside him.
Which was the reason her heart was beating so fast and her hands were cold. She was feeling nervous right now.
In her entire life, she had not felt this way and this was the first time, she was this close to a man.
Beatrice could have sworn that what she felt right now was her first experience with a man she had never imagined would happen.
But look now...
Beatrice Blair is with Jeff Kenric.
Apart from knowing the fact that Jeff is Valery's ex-boyfriend, she also just found out that Jeff is very popular at their school.
Maybe she's been too busy being sad and lamenting her fate to the point she doesn't know who Jeff is, who turns out to be very handsome and popular.
"Am I making you feel uncomfortable?" asked Jeff opening the conversation.
Beatrice, who had been silent all this while, immediately turned her head. "A-ah! No... not at all," said Beatrice shaking her head.
How could she feel uncomfortable around a man as handsome as Jeff?!
Yeah, right now the two of them are still in the car with Jeff who of course is driving that expensive car. Jeff also occasionally turned his head only to see Beatrice who looked nervous beside him.
Jeff looked back at the street in front of him. "I am happy," he said.
Beatrice turned, furrowing her brows. "Happy?"
Jeff nodded. "Yeah, because you allowed me to take you home," said Jeff, looking at Beatrice and then smiling a little.
What Jeff said at this time to Beatrice was the truth. At first, he doubted that Beatrice would accept his offer but it turned out to be contrary to what he had imagined, Beatrice accepted his offer.
I don't know what happened to Beatrice, but slowly her cheeks turned red and because of that, she tried to cover her cheeks.
Jeff who realized it laughed. "Hahaha you're so cute," said Jeff, seeing Beatrice's blushing cheeks.
And also along the way, they were accompanied by Beatrice's blushing cheeks because Jeff often teased her. That made Beatrice occasionally hold her chest to feel her heart beating abnormally.
...
The black car stopped in front of the flat after a few minutes of being on the way, which that flat is the destination of the black car. The car owner, Jeff, let go of the seatbelt he was wearing.
Then Jeff turned around, he saw Beatrice who was having a little trouble taking off her seatbelt. "Let me help you," said Jeff.
Jeff leaned close to Beatrice and slowly unbuckled Beatrice's seatbelt. Beatrice held her breath at this moment because she was very close to Jeff, she could even smell Jeff's perfume which was so intoxicating.
So without realizing it, Beatrice closed her eyes to smell that intoxicating aroma. Until Jeff took off the seatbelt that Beatrice was wearing.
Jeff slowly pulled his body away from Beatrice. "Done!" said Jeff with a smile on his face.
Beatrice immediately came to her senses, she opened her eyes before being caught off guard by Jeff. If that happened, it was certain that it would be the most embarrassing thing in her life.
"T-thank you," said Beatrice awkwardly.
Both of them got out of that car, Jeff saw a flat right in front of him. There is a small garden there and some flowers that are deliberately planted in the garden, like simple flats in general and of course, it was Beatrice who planted the flowers.
Jeff stared at the flat. "You live here?" asked Jeff.
Beatrice nodded. "Yes, I live here. In this small flat..."
To be honest, Beatrice felt embarrassed showing the small flat she had lived in all this time. Without needing to ask Jeff about this, she already knew that Jeff came from a wealthy family just like Valery.
And because of that Beatrice felt insecure as well as ashamed, because she didn't come from a wealthy family like Valery.
Her father, Mr. Blair only works as an ordinary office worker whose salary cannot be said to be much. While her mother, Mrs. Blair is only a housewife, who has to take care of her younger sister who is still in kindergarten.
There was nothing special about her family, unlike what she always heard from her school friends when they told her how rich and powerful the Valery family aka the Riley family, were.
An ordinary girl.
Yeah, that's what Beatrice usually called besides nerd Beatrice.
Doesn't she have so many designs? I don't know, those were all insults she received from her old school friends. But now she would not stay silent if she received those insults again.
Jeff raised his eyebrow. "Small? No, not at all. I like it, it looks very comfortable," said Jeff smiling.
"Really?" said Beatrice, unable to believe what she was hearing at this moment. Because she thought Jeff would insult the flat that had been her residence.
But she was wrong.
Jeff nodded. "Yeah, I like it," said Jeff, looking at Beatrice.
Beatrice fell silent.
Jeff's words seemed to be directed not to his flat but to her, moreover, those two eyes were looking at her deeply.
Beatrice immediately blinked. "A-ah, thank you for taking me home," said Beatrice, changing their conversation because her heart was already beating fast.
She found it strange but also liked the sensation she was feeling right now.
"You're welcome, if you need a ride I'd be happy to take you home," said Jeff.
Yeah, he didn't mind driving Beatrice home at all because it was far better for him to drive his car accompanied by a woman who caught his attention than alone.
For Jeff, it was much more fun.
Beatrice smiled in response to Jeff's words. Then walked to get into her flat but before that, she had time to turn around to see Jeff who was still standing there.
Beatrice waved her hand with a smile on her face and turned around to continue her walk, before...
GRAB!
"Beatrice!"
Beatrice flinched, she then turned around and saw Jeff holding her right hand. "J-Jeff?"
She was really surprised to see Jeff who suddenly held her like this. Then why did Jeff just stare at her without saying anything?
Has she made any mistakes?
Jeff didn't let go of Beatrice's hand, he was silent for a moment. "Allow me to approach you," said Jeff, looking at Beatrice with his eyes as dark as night.
