Chapter 54

The battle continued for hours and yet more and more rogue werewolves and vampires exited the forest and ran into the surrounding field. Alpha Czar army had decreased significantly as the hundreds of rogues kept coming closer and closer towards the Castle. The assassins from the Vampire counsel along with members of his clan fought mercilessly but were no match for the numbers and strategies applied and Karl knew the inevitable was about to happen yet he fought hard for his family and for Bella and their upcoming family.

Fall back, fall back! Kyle heard his Alpha shout and when he looked forward he understood why. Vampires in their hundreds began dropping wolfbane on the crowds of fighters, weakening rogues and pack members alike. Hundreds of bunches being scattered,  making it look like it was raining wolfbane.

What the fuckkkkkkkk! Someone knows about our plan! Someone had too! It's like there's always ahead of our steps! Karl mindlinked his team as each fought rogues in front of them

But how is that possible? No one but us knew about this and the few well trusted help hands! Lizzy said as she sent down bolts of fire on several rogues setting them afire.

Maybe we were bugged again! James said as he dashed several rogue werewolves with waves of water.

Guys more are headed for the castle and I can't hold back these vampires with bags of wolfbane much longer! Charlie mindlinked through gritted teeth.

Kyle said nothing but continued fighting and killing as much as many rogues he could get his hands on. He couldn't afford to lose this battle since he had to return to Bella and his litter who was depending on him. And so for the next hour or so, with his family on his mind, Kyle's techniques against the rogues was downright brutal.

What's going on? Kyle mindlinked his family but got no answer when he finally got a chance, after having to kill a heap of rogues before him.

Karl, Lizzy, Charlie, James what's going on? Talk to me! Kyle shouted as he sent his massive claws into the jugular of a rogue werewolf in front of him.

Kyle looked for his family but glimpsed Lizzy, James, Charlie and Karl all down, incapacitated by the wolfbane. He turned around to look for his parents and saw his father and mother battling several rogues under the stone covering over the deck, which acted as a protection from the wolfbane for the couple.

Kyle tried to get through the crowd of battling rogues not to mention the pile up of dead bodies on the ground. Then he came into contact with several vampires carrying wolfbane strapped to there bodies and his body automatically fell to the ground like a tree that had been cut down.

Bella I'm sorry my love. Take care off our pups. I'll love you forever! Kyle was able to mindlink to Bella just before he fell hard to the ground.

Seconds later, Kyle then continued to creep towards his parents as he saw them still battling from a distance. Then he saw a shadow appear from behind his father, and with a broad snarl on his face, Kyle saw Giles walk up to his Alpha with a sword and sent it directly into his father's torso while several rogues restrained Kyle's mother.

Giles nooooo! Kyle screamed as his mind busily processed the information of what Giles had done. And slowly he understood why his family defensive plan was doomed for the start.

Giles then sent out a long, thunderous howl that instantly stopped everyone from fighting. He walked to the front of the deck and shouted,

The Alpha and his family have been captured. Stop the fighting and bow down to your new Alpha who will reign over the entire region or prepare to die tonight like so many of your brothers and sister from your packs. Giles proudly belted out.

And just like that, the battle was over and a small number of remaining werewolves surrendered and bowed down to Giles.

Bella sat nervously on her bed after putting the pups down and waited for any word from Kyle. As soon as he mindlinked her and told her that the battle had begun her mind became uneasy. And so did her body as her pups began kicking her harder and harder for several minutes before she was finally able to get some relief.

Bella laid in bed thinking about losing Kyle and his family and what they all said to her before they left early that morning. She remembered Kyle and her in the forest just after his proposal and tears flooded her eyes. Then she saw the red pendant begin to light up. She stared into it and for a moment she swore she could see the battle at Castle Rock.

Finally after several hours she heard Kyle mindlink her and it was not the sentence she wanted to hear. Bella looked at her stomach and touched it. She then got up and tried to mindlink Kyle several times while she changed out of her night gown. After several failed attempts of reaching Kyle while doing that, she got up and walked outside.

Bella saw her mother and father having tea together as they laughed and spoke softly as not to wake the pups.

Hey guys I'm going for a short walk outside okay! Bella said as casually as she could not wanting them to know what she was up too because surely they would not have left her to go alone. She bent her head and slipped her feet into her Tom's shoes so she couldn't feel guilty telling her parents that lie.

Is everything okay hunni? Claire asked sensing something was wrong with Bella

Just worried about Kyle and his family so I'll take a walk and see if I can take my mind off it! Bella said as she was about to walk out the door.

Okay darling but don't go to far okay! Claire replied

Okay mom, love you guys! Bella said which caused Peter and Claire to look puzzled since they only knew Bella said that to them was she leaving and wouldn't see them for a while.

Bella walked out and as soon as the reached the edge of the property she flew up into the sky, headed towards Castle Rock. Bella's mind reeled as how she could help the family without harming her pups. Then she saw the pillars of the castle and knew she was close. Bella rose higher above the clouds so she could not be detected.

Then her heart sank when she saw the hundreds and hundreds of werewolves dead on the ground. There was blood and big holes in the grounds with many body part scattered everywhere. She looked towards the Castle and saw Giles speaking down to the family while a few hundred werewolves and vampires surrounded them. And then she understood that even though that Alpha Czar plan was meticulously thought off, he failed miserably because Giles knew about the entire plan from the get go.

Bella stopped mid air and began to float. She looked around trying to think of a plan where she could help Kyle's family and suddenly her eyes fell on the pillars once again. She remembered the inscriptions she read on the stone and then she smiled.

But why Giles! I treated you like a brother! I loved you and you betrayed me like this! The Alpha shouted to his Beta.

Why Czar? Why? Because you are to weak minded to rule as Alpha. There shouldn't be several Alphas for our region but only one. You allowed humans to treat our kind like shit and upturn their nubs as noses, at us. With the army I have acquired, thanks to the money I siphoned out of your accounts over the years, I can now overtake the humans as well and rule the entire country. Giles answered

Bring all of his family members here and line them up! Giles said to his army and they immediately began to gather the Alpha and his family.

Pity your girlfriend couldn't be here Kyle! Delores disappointed me severely as she was supposed to administer her the entire vial! Giles said and laughed as the vampires dragged Kyle towards his family.

You mother fucking asshole! You will pay for doing that traitor! Kyle shouted

Giles nodded his head to the Vampire and he immediately elbowed Kyle in his stomach with the gun butt.

Watch how you speak to your new Alpha boy! Giles said

Lizzy I was surprised you didn't make out my voice when you followed Jed and heard us talking! I honestly thought you had and that is why I had my men kidnap you. But when that witch brought you back and you only mentioned Jed, I was elated! Giles said as Lizzy tended to her father's wound.

I don't know why you're trying to save him because I will soon have all of you disposed off! Giles continued

And Karl and Charlie. I swear I was going to wait until the ceremony was completed but with the trip bombs goings off that no one told me was placed in the forest, I had to begin early! Giles said sadly

Giles you will pay for your betrayal, if not in this life it will surely be your next! Czar mumbled but hard enough for Giles to here.

Well I can tell you for sure that it won't be this life Czar! As you can see! Giles said as he moved around his hand to show he had the upper hand.

Jean my darling, you, I can allow to live if you stand by my side. I have loved you for a long time and can make all your dreams come true if you agree to be with me! Giles said lovingly

Giles you betrayed my entire family and me and innocently killed so many of our own kind and you expect me to be with you. I hate you Giles and I will never be with anyone as cold hearted as you. I shall rather die! Jean said with utter disgust in her tone.

Then die, you will! Along with the rest of your family. Say your goodbyes to each other because I will have to kill you all in front of everyone to set an example. No hard feelings and all! Giles said

Bella floated exactly over the Castle where she could see Giles, Alpha's Czar family and his rogues and then she transformed her entire body into flames and began to send out numerous long lines of fire bolts directed to many of the rogues surrounding the family so that Karl, Kyle , Lizzy , James and Charlie could at least use their powers. The sky turned an orange-yellow hue as Bella continued sending fire bolts after fire bolts upon the rogues. Many caught on fire and began running erratically as Kyle and his team became free.
