A Song for You
Levin was so nice by sending him home every night. In the passenger seat, Rei looked outside. The lights from the road shone his tranquil face.
"Since three months we have dinner together, I never once meet your parents. Are they living abroad?" Rei turned his head towards Levin. The hands who held the steer were stiff.
"My mother has passed away." Levin answered offhandedly.
"I'm sorry to hear that."
"It's nothing. She was dead a long time ago."
Rei stared at Levin's face. No emotion could be seen on his cold eyes. His gaze straight on the road in front.
"Then, your father?"
"We don't live together."
Rei nodded.
"Then, when I got to your house tomorrow morning, I'll be all alone? Don't you afraid I'd do something evil?"
"Like a what?" Levin laughed and turned his head towards Rei.
"I don't know. Like stealing something?"
"Just take anything that you want. I don't care."
"Wow, a wealthy young master is really generous."
Levin didn't answer and continue looking straight ahead.

At 7.00 in the morning, Rei has arrived in front of Levin's door. He was drove there by his father's subordinate, but Levin didn't need to know.
He rung the bell and in a minute the door was opened. Levin was standing before him with his full police attire. Rei could say that he is quite attractive.
"Here's the key. Do not forget to lock the door when I'm not here." Levin handed Rei some keys.
"I am in hurry, so I should go now. I've cooked some meals for your breakfast." Levin wore his shoes and turned his head towards Rei.
"Make sure to clean the house well."
"Am I really just a helper for you?" Rei frowned.
"Didn't you are the first one who suggest it?" Levin stroke his head and walked away.
"Wait for me, and avoid cooking. I don't want to go home to find the house under fire."
"I won't!" Rei became annoyed.
Levin ignored Rei's annoyance and got on his car.
"See you tonight."
With that, Levin drove away.
Rei smiled and entered the house. After locking the door, he scanned the house. Actually, the house itself was already clean. However, just in case, maybe this house need a little bit cleaning.
He shrugged his shoulder and pulled out his phone. He did some typing, then dialed a number.
"Hey, bring out around ten people to the address I just send you. I need you all to help me."
Then he disconnected the call.
System just shut his mouth.
He looked towards the stairs. In these three months, he got no chance to examined the second level of the house.
Rei energetically ascended the stairs. In the second level, he saw two rooms and a open space with some couches and tv. There's also a book shelve on the wall.
Before System could answer, Rei already skipped towards the nearest room and tried the keys. There were seven keys in his hands. Rei cannot understand, why there were so many keys, while this house only has two rooms and one exit door.
After trying for some minutes, he heard a click on the door.
He pushed the door and saw row of shelves on his right and left side. Both sides were filled with documents to the brink. In the far end of this shelves stood a long table with a chair and piled of documents. A closed window was behind the chair. A big PC was situated in the middle of the desk.
He sneakily entered the room and went straight to the table.
Rei stopped and added.
The System didn't answer.
Ding
The off PC suddenly switched on and displayed a blue screen. It then changed into a black screen and showed rowed of figures like before. However, this time, the figures went up real fast. Rei's eyes cannot catch up.
Rei leaved the table and checked the files starting to the recent years. The files filled with some inmates and their crime. The data and the proof. Fortunately, the files were well-organized, so he has hope to find his father's.
While skimming, he found a small notebook lying in the far corner of the second rows. He picked it and saw the papers has changed color due to the old age. He opened the book and saw scribbles. The writing was neat.
He started reading the first line in the first page.
'If you found this book, it means that I am not in this world anymore.'
'I wish you remember me as a breeze in the summer. A happy smile in the morning. A written song in the tranquil night.'
Somehow Rei remembered long time ago before he met the System, someone playing his guitar deep in the night. A melodious strings calming the anxious soul.
"What are you doing?"
The playing tune stopped.
"Composing."
"Then, let me listen to it."
"I haven't finished the lyric."
"Just the melody is fine."
"Then, remember this song."
