73. Tech Rocks
Smoke: Hey guys, Smoking Wrecker with the new chapter of Loud Heroes and the results of the Leader of the L-Angels. Luna, drumroll please.
*Luna does the drumroll.*
Smoke: The leader of the L-Angels is Stella. You voted for her and she's the leader of the team. But let's get on with new chapter.
It's Monday night at the Sharp residence and Sam is in her room, going over her plan. "Ok with the internship I signed up for I can walk through the front door and see what Andrew Tetherby is hiding in his company." Sam explained to herself as she took her teal jacket off. "I can't tell Luna about this or else she'll stop me."
Replicate and Alice stood on a roof with a man about twenty years old with fair skin, black hair with a green polo shirt and jeans. "So you understand what you have to do Ryan?" Tetherby asks.
"I think so." Ryan answered. "Are you sure I'm the right to do this?"
"Of course. You've been my hacker for the past year." Replicate said. "We're counting on you to help us find out what Tetherby is hiding."
"Just watch out for Adamborg and Xander." Alice added.
"What if things go wrong?" Ryan asked.
"Then I go in and pull you out." Replicate promised.
"Ok." Ryan said. "I won't let you down."
"Good." Replicate said. The screen then splits to show both Replicate and Sam side by side.
"Tetherby is going down." They say.
At Royal Woods High School, Sam is at her locker putting her books away. "Hey Sun." Sam looked on her left and sees Luna coming towards her.
"Oh hey Luna." Sam greeted.
"Good news, I convinced Lynn to take my shift. So we can hang out." Luna replied.
"Oh sorry Moon." Sam said. "I got an internship at Tetherby Industries and it starts today." Luna looks at her confused.
"But aren't internships for college students?" Luna asked. "You're in high school."
"I know but the person in charge of the internships said it shouldn't be a problem." Sam said. "Besides it'll look good on my college application."
"You're going to college?" Luna asked. "I thought you and I already made our plans?"
"I like to have a backup plan." Sam said.
"Did Jay gave you college brochures?" Luna asked.
"That's besides the point. Besides we can hang out another time Luna." said Sam.
"I know but since Lynn's doing today, I have to do her next patrol which is who know's when." Luna said.
"Aren't you one of the leaders? So doesn't that mean you help schedule the patrols?" Sam pointed out.
"It's gotten harder with our new system." Luna admitted. "And even with Ronnie Anne and Bobby no longer suspended, we're still shorthanded. And we don't fully trust Petty to help patrol yet. It would be nice to have some more help. I mean the only other guy we trust to possibly help is always on the move!"
"Man that sucks Luna. I doubt my dad can help. He has his own agenda." Sam sighed.
"Like he'd help us anyways." Luna said. "I gotta head home. I wasn't scheduled to go to base today so I'm gonna go see what's happening at home. Later Sun!" She kisses Sam in the cheek before running off. Once she's gone, Sam narrows her eyes.
"Alright. Let's go." She said.
Sam walks up to Tetherby industries and goes up the front desk. "May I help you?" The receptionist asked.
"I'm one of the interns." Sam answered. "I'm Sam Sharp."
"Oh right." said the receptionist and takes out a badge that says "Intern" to Sam.
"Thanks." Sam said. "So where do I go?"
"Head down the hall and the door on your second left will be where all the other interns will meet." The Receptionist replied.
"Thanks." Sam said and walked off.
She heads down the hall that the receptionist directed her too where she sees the door. She opens it up where she sees a few other interns. She heads towards a table and sits down next to man in a blue polo. "Hey. How's it going?" He asks. "Name's Ryan."
"Sam." Sam replied.
"Aren't you a little young to be college student?" Ryan asked.
"Why yes, yes I am." Sam said.
"Well ain't gonna judge." Ryan said.
"Cool because I'm actually in high school." Sam replied. "I just decided to do an internship early."
"Well to bad you won't be able to be here long." Ryan said. "They send all the interns home at seven."
"Seven is when we go home?" Sam asked.
"Yeah even I knew that." said Ryan.
Sam pulls out her phone and sees that it's five o'clock now. "Only got two hours." Sam whispers. "Not a lot of time but I can work with it."
Sam then gets up from the table. "Hey I'll be right back. I need to use the washroom." said Sam and walked away.
Once she's gone, Ryan pulls out his phone. "Ok Replicate, I'm in." He said. "Now what?"
"I want to find out what Tetherby has in his company's lab, I need the information on the anti meta human weapon. Make sure you avoid Adamborg and Xander, you won't be able to survive their encounter." Replicate said.
"Got it." Ryan nodded and hanged up.
In the washroom, Sam was looking over some of the info she gathered on Tetherby Industries. "Tetherby has his full on lab in his main company." Sam said. "Nobody seems to know what he's working on but a lot of people believe that it's for the good of mankind. Come to think of it, Tremor took that meteorite but never said what he was doing with it. Could he have been working for Tetherby then too? Well time to see what Tetherby is up too."
Sam looks from around the corner and sees a door. "There's the lab." said Sam. A scientist walks up to the lab and uses a keycard to open the door and entered the lab. Sam quickly ran towards the door and stopped the door from closing and entered the lab.
Outside the lab, Ryan snuck through the hall up to the lab and pulls out his phone before calling Replicate. "I'm at the lab." He said.
"Good." Replicate said. "You got the card?" Ryan reaches into his pocket and pulls out a keycard.
"Right here." Ryan told him. "I'm still curious on how you got it."
"Don't worry about it." Replicate said. "Just find out what Tetherby is doing." He hangs up. Ryan sighs and uses the keycard.
On a rooftop across from Tetherby Industries, Replicate and Alice watched over the building.
"So are you gonna tell him that you got the card off of Johnson's dead body?" Alice asked.
"No. This is between you and me." Replicate said.
"So how did you meet this guy?" Alice asked.
"That's a story for another time." said Replicate.
"So are we just gonna sit here and wait?" Alice asked.
"Only until we need to get involved." Replicate answered.
Sam looked around the lab, while trying to to keep a low profile. "Alright let's see what dirty secrets you're hiding Tetherby." Sam said as she looked around.
She then hears shouting and goes to investigate. She sneaks over and sees Damian Stuart yelling at another scientist.
"What the hell are these numbers?!" Stuart shouts. "We won't make any progress unless we push harder. Amplify the machine with the meteorite!"
"Yes sir!" The scientist said as she walks over to a machine and turns up on the knob and meteorite glows as it powers the machine.
"That's the meteorite Soothsayer Told us about." Sam said. "So Tremor did worked for Tetherby. But I'm gonna need some evidence." Sam took out her phone and turned on the video camera.
Meanwhile, Ryan is downloading information onto a flash drive. "Almost done." He whispers. "Then I should be able to get out of here."
Back with Sam she's recording everything on her phone. Until something caught her eye. "Is that a giant tube with something in there?" Sam asked as she pointed her phone at the tube. "What's in there?"
Before Sam could get a closer look her phone rang and her mom was calling her, with a picture of her mom on the caller ID, but the worst part is she forgot to put the phone on silent.
"What was that?" Stuart asked. "I believe we have unwelcomed guests. Someone sound the alarm!" A scientist runs and hits a button causing an alarm to go off. A few minutes later, a dozen guards run into the lab.
"Crap!" Sam said. She puts her phone away before running. Nearby Ryan hears the alarm and quickly pulls out the flash drive.
"Hopefully this got enough stuff!" Ryan said before running towards the exit. Once he's out, he calls Replicate. "Alright Replicate, things got nuts here!"
"Do you have the info?" Replicate asked.
"Yeah but not sure how much." Ryan admitted. "Stuart sounded an alarm and now there's a dozen guards in that lab! I think I saw that one girl Sam in there." When Replicate heard that name he almost dropped his phone.
"Sam?" Replicate whispers. "Alright here's what's gonna happen. Head to the back exit. Alice will meet you there. Got it?"
"I got it." Ryan said and began to make his way to the exit.
Sam was still running in the lab while trying to avoid. The guards. All she needed to do is find the exit and get the hell out of here. "Where'a the exit?" She asked herself.
"Stop right there!" A guard ordered. Sam looks to see three guards not to far away.
"Crap!" Sam muttered before running up some stairs to the viewing platform. She runs under a window with the guards not far behind when something suddenly crashed through and lands in front of the three guards. Before the guards can react, the figure hits one with a right jab, another with an uppercut and the last one with a kick. Sam looks to see her father. "Dad?!"
"Get out of here Sam!" Replicate ordered as more guards ran up the stairs. "I'll buy you some time!" Sam hesitates before running along the platform.
In his office, Tetherby is doing some paperwork when he gets a call on his intercom. "What?" He growled.
"Sir! Replicate is in the lab!" A guard reported. "I repeat, Replicate is in the lab!"
"Keep him busy. I'll send some assistance." Tetherby said coolly. He hangs up the intercom and hits another button. "Xander, Replicate has decided to pay us a visit. Please deal with him."
"With pleasure." Xander said.
Replicate judo throws a guard into two guards and gives the fourth guard a roundhouse kick to the side, then gave another guard a elbow strike in the face. The. He finished the last ground with a left hook to the ground.
"Better make sure Sam is alright." Replicate said as he began to walk away until a knife is thrown right passed Replicate and hit a wall.
"Welcome back Replicate." Replicate turned around to see Xander. "I always knew you return to finish our fight with no interruptions."
Replicate let's out a growl and turns to face Xander. He looks him up and down, then smiles when he sees the cast around his hand. "How's your hand?" Replicate asked with smirk. Xander lets out a growl and pointed his knife at Replicate.
"That is something that you'll be paying me back for after I kill you." He said.
"I never had a normal human threatened me before, guess there's a first time for everything." said Replicate as Xander began to charged towards Replicate.
Xander swings his knife at Replicate who narrowly avoids it. Replicate then kick Xander's hand which knocks the knife out of his hand. "Not bad mate." Xander said. "I've always preferred good ol'e fistfights anyways."
Replicate didn't replied but gives the hunter a right hook to the face, but Xander blocks the right hook.
Xander then grabs Replicate's arm and swings him into the wall kneeing him in the stomach. He then follows it up with an elbow to the back knocking him to the ground. "That all you have Replicate?" Xander taunted. "I was expecting more."
Replicate gets back up and gives Xander a roundhouse kick to the gut. Replicate then gave Xander a uppercut to the face. "This time I won't be holding back." Replicate said.
"Bring it." Xander challenged. Meanwhile, Sam was still running to avoid the guards when she realized she was alone.
"Where did dad go?" She asked. She looked around and saw her father battling it out with Xander. "Xander? What's he doing here?" She sees Xander slam Replicate's head on the railing of the observation area before getting hit by an uppercut from her father. "Dad'll be fine. I think." Xander pulls out a mine and throws it at Replicate who bats it away.
"Your trick mines won't work on me." Replicate told him.
"Who said it was for you?" Xander sneered. Replicate's eyes widen and he sees the mine head towards Sam. The mine lands in front of her and when it goes off it unleashes a flash.
"My eyes!" Sam cried. She blindly stumbled around and suddenly goes over the railing into the machine disposal below. "Help!" Replicate let's out a growl before hearing Xander chuckle.
"Quite the dilemma isn't it mate?" Xander taunted. "Either you try to stop me, or you save the girl? Your choice." Xander then walks off. Replicate let's out a loud shout before jumping over the railing. In the machine, Sam felt every machine part and electronic batter her body as she sunk into it. She then closed her eyes as she waited for the end. However a hand then grabs her jacket.
At the base, Soothsayer and Mr. Cuddles were playing Mortal Kombat 11 while Petty and Tongri slept nearby. The Louds had just gone home for the night and Soothsayer was enjoying the peace and quiet, as well watching Johnny Cage uppercut Kano's head off.
"Ha ha! I win!" Soothsayer cheered.
"Damn it." Mr. Cuddles grumbled.
"Excuse me Soothsayer, there appears to be someone approaching the base." Martha informed them.
"Thank you Martha." Soothsayer said. "Petty. Tongri. Look alive." The two mentioned creatures jolted awake and stood up. "Good. Now let's go greet our guest." The four head outside and Soothsayer and Mr. Cuddles gasp at what they see. Replicate carrying a bloody, bruised and unconscious Sam.
"I need to use your medical area! Now!" Replicate exclaimed.
"What happened to her?" Mr. Cuddles asked.
"Doesn't matter." Soothsayer said. "Replicate, let Petty take her so you can rest." Petty approaches Replicate and holds his arms out. Replicate hesitates before placing Sam into his arms allowing Petty to carry her into the base with Tongri and Mr. Cuddles right behind him. Once they're alone, Soothsayer turns to Replicate. "I'm not going to ask what happened. I just want to know if you had something to do with this?"
"No. I didn't." Replicate said. "I gotta leave. Take care of her." He then walks off.
Soothsayer just stood there and watched Replicate walked away as he walked back inside to check on Sam.
When Soothsayer got to the medical area, Mr. Cuddles was already checking her over. "Lacerations, concussion, bruises." Mr. Cuddles listed. "It's amazing she's still alive."
"Check for internal injuries as well." said Soothsayer. "I can use some of my magic to heal her."
"Right." Mr. Cuddles said. "Martha, please do a scan."
"Of course." Martha said. The table then begins to scan her and the results appear on the screen. "There are no evidence of internal damage." Mr. Cuddles looks at the computer confused.
"That's odd." He said. "There should have been some internal damage. Martha, can you scan for any abnormalities in Sam?"
"Scanning." Martha announced as she scanned body.
"What are you trying to find?" Soothsayer asked.
"Not sure yet." Mr. Cuddles admitted. "But I have a theory."
"Scan complete." said Martha.
"And it looks like my theory is right." Mr. Cuddles said.
"The meta gene." Soothsayer said. "Fascinating."
"Lisa has been studying it." Mr. Cuddles said. "However she's still unclear how it awakens. One theory she had was large amounts of stress, but she threw that out because despite all the stress they caused him, Lincoln's meta gene never activated. However, whatever Sam was doing activated her meta gene but nothing has happened yet."
"Indeed. I suggest we heal her and keep her here for observation." Soothsayer said. "I'll send a double of her to fill in at home. Also, the Louds decided to take a break so they won't be here tomorrow but Ronnie Anne and Bobby will be so there won't be any questions from them."
"Agreed." Mr. Cuddles said. They then hear a groan and see Sam starting to wake up.
"Where am I?" She asked.
"You're at the base Samantha." said Soothsayer.
"How did I get here?" Sam asked.
"Your dad brought you here." said Mr. Cuddles.
"Dad?" Sam repeated before looking around. "I take it he left?"
"Yes. How are you feeling?" Soothsayer asked.
"Sore and I have a wicked headache." Sam answers.
"If you want I can give you some aspirin." Mr. Cuddles suggested.
"But for now you to explain what happened to you." Soothsayer asked.
"But won't my mom worry about me?" Sam asked.
"Don't worry, I sent a double to fill in." Soothsayer told her. "Now what happened?"
"I don't remember honestly." Sam admitted. "I remember doing a internship but I don't remember anything besides that."
"Don't rush it." Mr. Cuddles said. "You suffered a concussion so you probably lost some of your memory."
"That and you also have some lacerations and bruises. So it explains why you're sore." Mr. Cuddles said.
"Damn." Sam said. "Mind if I get a drink?"
"Go ahead." Soothsayer said. Sam gets up and heads to the vending machines.
"Huh, Louds must've brought in some vending machines today." Sam said. She places her hand on the vending machine and suddenly her hand glows blue as lines shaped like circuits appeared on her hand. She looks up and sees the same lines on the machine causing her to lift her hand off the machine quickly. "Gah!"
Sam looked at the machine and blue lines on the machine disappear. "What just happened?" She asked herself.
Sam walked up to the vending machine and places her hand on it again and the blue lines appear on the vending machine and on her hand. Then a bag of chips fell down to the slot.
"What the hell is going on!?" Sam shouts.
"Sam what's wrong?" Soothsayer asked.
"I touched the vending machine and this happened!" Sam said as she placed her hand on the vending machine and the blue lines appear again.
"Whoa." Mr. Cuddles said. A few seconds later, a bag of chips falls to the slot. "Ooh. Free chips." He grabs the bag and starts eating them. "I think we need to run some tests."
"Agreed and don't talk with your mouth full." Soothsayer said.
"Sorry." Mr. Cuddles said with chips in his mouth.
Sam sat on an examination table while Mr. Cuddles checked her over. He grabs a doctor's bag and placed it on the floor. He reached inside and pulled out a reflex hammer. "I'm going to check your reflexes." He said. He preceded to tap Sam's leg which soon turned into a giant mechanical foot that kicks Mr. Cuddles sending him flying. "I'm ok."
"Um, what just happened?" Sam asked.
"It would appear that you foot has become robotic. But we didn't detect any cybernetic implants when you were scanned." Soothsayer stated.
"So I've been turned into a Inspector Gadget clone? Great." Sam replied
"We need to run some more tests on you." Soothsayer said.
"Like what?" Sam asked.
"I don't think this is a good idea." Sam said as she stood in the training area while Soothsayer and Mr. Cuddles stood a few feet away.
"Look all Petty is going to do is throw stuff at you." Mr. Cuddles assured her.
"That's what I'm afraid of." Sam said.
"Alright begin throwing Petty." Mr. Cuddles said as Petty nodded and began throwing items.
Petty threw a crate at Sam, but Sam dodges it and let's put a shriek. Petty throws another crate at Sam, but her arms turned into mechanical fists and blocked the crate.
"Remarkable." Soothsayer said amazed.
"Whoa. This is so cool." Sam said as she admired the fists. "I wonder?" She concentrated and suddenly the fists started spinning. "This rocks! Let's try something else!"
"Like what?" Soothsayer asked.
"I don't know maybe see what other stuff I can make off my body." Sam said.
"Very well then." Soothsayer said. "Let the testing begin."
"Time for a montage." Mr. Cuddles says to the viewers.
(Cue Eye of the Tiger by Survivor imagine it's playing in the background)
Sam is standing in the shooting range with crude dummies of the L-Crew's villains. Mr. Cuddles instructed Sam to hit the targets and she nodded. Sam turns her right arm into a big rocket launcher like machine and she tried to fire but no ammo came out, until the back end grabs onto a hunk of a metal crate and fires at the Tremor dummy, leaving the three with wide eyed looks.
Mr. Cuddles then moves her closer to the dummies and instructs her to destroy them. Sam nods and suddenly forms a giant sword much to everyone's surprise. Mr. Cuddles then runs off as Sam swings the sword at a Rampage dummy that falls to the ground slashed in half. Sam then looks at the sword sword and sees that it has a lever of sorts. Curious, she pulls the lever and the sword splits in half and starts spinning like a saw. She then uses the saw to slash the rest of the dummies while Soothsayer and Mr. Cuddles watch with wide eyes and jaws dropped.
Sam looked and sees a Rubbor dummy and turned her right foot into a mechanical foot and kicks it down.
Soothsayer wanted to see if Sam was capable of flight, so summoned some rings for her to fly through. Sam tried to jump up but it didn't, she even try to do how Superman flies but nothing worked. Soothsayer sighed at his theory until, a pair of wide teal turbine jets appeared out of Sam's back.
The jets starts spinning and the wind from the turbines were so strong, Mr. Cuddles was blown away but was caught by Petty. Sam then took off but had very little control of the flight and flew around willynilly until she crashed into the base where she fell into Petty's arms. Sam tries a few more times and begins to get the hang of it and flies through all the rings.
Sam lands on her feet as her turbine jet pack go back into her body as she took a bow.
Sam kicks a metal crate with her giant mechanical foot and it hits his target on some metal crates.
She then forms mechanical fists and throws a crate to the other side of the field. She then suddenly forms a hoverbike from her legs and a big smile forms on her face.
Soothsayer and Mr. Cuddles were amazed and shocked that Sam can create a hover bike, then Sam took off and rode around the base, when she came back Sam still had that smirk on her face.
"Alright I think we got a full extent of your powers for now." Soothsayer said. "Excellent montage."
"Thanks." Mr. Cuddles said. "With the perfect music to go with it. Now time to address the elephant in the room. What do we do now? Sam has powers now. Where do we go from here?"
"Simple. We tell everyone." Sam said shocking the two. "Look, I'll admit I was scared when I first got these powers but now I think they're rocking. But I don't want to make the same mistake Ronnie Anne and Bobby made by trying to keep it a secret which in turn almost got them killed when they tried to fight the Terror Crew. So as soon as the Louds and everyone else show up, I'm gonna straight up tell them that I have powers now."
"Hm, I see your point Samantha." said Soothsayer. "Dishonestly can cause a rift in your friends."
"Besides I didn't want to repeat the whole my dad is Replicate secret again." Sam said. "So when will the Louds be here?"
"Well they weren't planning on coming in but we could call them." Mr. Cuddles replied.
"Alright then." Sam said. "Call them."
An hour later, Vanzilla pulled into the base with an annoyed Lori at the driver's seat. "This had better be important." She said as she and her siblings got out of the van where Sam saw Lincoln was covered in paint, Lynn was covered in dust, Lana was covered in mud and Luan had some pie on her. "I had to go all over the city to find everyone."
"I was almost done with my painting until you called." Lincoln stated.
"Sorry guys but I have something to show you guys." Sam said.
"Alright make it quick." Lori said impatiently.
"Ok here goes." Sam sighed and then turned her right arm into a giant sword. The Louds were shocked when they saw this.
"Did Sam's arm turned into a big ass sword?" Lynn asked.
"Yep." The Louds replied in unison.
"Babe, what happened?" Luna asked.
"To be honest, I'm not sure." Sam admitted. "I was doing my internship and at some point I got hurt. I don't remember much because one of those injuries was a concussion but next thing I know I have powers."
"Interesting." Lisa said. "What exactly can you do?"
"Well somehow I can make machinery with my body. Like giant fists, giants boots, a hover bike, a cannon that fires rubble, and this big ass sword." Sam explained as she showed the Louds all the machinery she can make.
"So cool!" Lana squeals.
"I also can sort of hack into machines, appliances and electronics." Sam added.
"Ok so you have powers now, why are you showing us?" Luan asked.
"I don't want to keep it a secret like Ronnie Anne and Bobby did." Sam answers. "When they did that it caused utter chaos. I don't want to do that. I want help you guys fight crime. I'm sick of standing on the sidelines wondering if you guys are gonna be ok. So please, let me help."
"Let me and my siblings talk about it." Lori said as she and her siblings all huddled together and all Sam can hear is mumbling.
After a few minutes of what appeared to be arguing, they separate and face Sam. "Babe we have made our decision." Luna said.
"And?" Sam prompted. The Louds then look at each other with mischievous grins.
"Leni, get her." Lori orders.
"Ok." Leni said. She then grabs Sam and pulls her to her clothes designing area. She splits into three and all three clones begin measuring her all over.
"So what was with the grins?" Sam asked.
"No talking while the pros are at work." Leni shushed.
"Her arms are perfect length." Clone one said.
"So are her legs." Clone two added.
"She's in perfect shape." Clone one said.
"Good. Now let's get to work." Leni said.
They pull a curtain to block Sam from everyone's view. The Louds then hear the sound of stitching, Leni talking and Sam wincing. "Hey easy with that needle! No that's too tight! Hey watch where you're grabbing! Ow! You jabbed me! No Leni! No! Don't you dare!" Few seconds of silence before the Louds here a scream. "Yow!" Leni and her clones then come out from behind the curtain.
"All done." Leni and her clones say in unison.
"May we see the super suit Leni?" Lola asked.
"Oh course. Presenting Sam's hero outfit by Leni Loud." Leni said as she pulled the curtain to reveal Sam in her hero outfit. Sam is wearing a teal bio suit, with dark teal boots and fingerless gloves, goggles with the glass Teal, and final touch Sam's hair is blue.
"Whoa. This is rad." Sam said as she looked at herself in the mirror. "Can I get a jacket?" Leni thinks about it and pulls out a teal jacket.
"Here you go!" Leni said. Sam puts on the jacket and looks herself over.
"Now this is awesome." Sam said. "So does this mean I'm part of the team?"
"You sure are." Lori said.
"But you're gonna need a name." Luna said.
"Hmm, well I think you can call me Genarocker!" Sam said while holding up the goats.
"I approve of the pun." Luan said.
"Well then, welcome to the L-Crew, Genarocker." said Lori.
As the Louds went up to welcome the newest member of the L-Crew, Soothsayer hung back as he felt a disturbance. "A vision." He said. "Very well." He closes his eyes and when he opens them, he sees he's in the city. He looks and sees what he saw in a previous vision: the L-Crew and their allies standing side by side. He noticed the same people as before but noticed more were walking up. He saw a tall pink creature with a tiger walking beside him as he stood behind Amplifier. "Petty and Tongri." He saw two more girls join the original three that were there and Soothsayer saw who they were. "The newly formed L-Angels I see." He then saw someone he didn't recognize. A man walking up in cowboy attire as he stood in the back row. "A new face? How curious." He then saw a smaller figure walk up and Soothsayer recognized him as Mr. Cuddles but behind him were several large creatures that Soothsayer couldn't make out. Another figure walked up wearing a robot suit of some sort but Soothsayer couldn't determine who it was. And then last but not least, Soothsayer turned to where Replicate was standing and saw he was joined by a girl who looked about nine years old. Soothsayer looked along the lines and smiled. Suddenly the vision changed and everything vanished. He found himself back in the base where he heard the sounds of battle but couldn't see it. He looked around and he saw Sam, Bobby and Ronnie Anne in their hero suits and were facing off against themselves.
"You guys ready?" Sam asked as she formed her sword.
"Always." Ronnie Anne answered.
"Ditto." Bobby said before the three ran into battle. And right when they charged, the vision ended. Soothsayer opened his eyes and found himself on the ground with everyone around him.
"What happened?" Soothsayer asked.
"You fainted." Lana answered. "You're lucky Petty was able to catch you before you hit the ground."
"Thank you Petty." Soothsayer said as he got back up.
"So what happened?" Sam asked.
"I had two visions. One we're with your allies and those are yet to come." Soothsayer explained. "The other one involved the Santiagos and Samantha fighting against themselves." Soothsayer continued.
"I'm lost." Sam said. "Explanation please."
"Not to long ago Soothsayer had a vision where he saw us fighting ourselves." Lucy explained. "However there was never much info to go on."
"He then had another vision where he saw Petty and Tongri preparing to fight some unidentifiable creatures." Lori added.
"And now this one." Soothsayer said. "Children, I fear that the time is running out before my visions become a reality. You must be ready for your most difficult opponent: yourself."
At his safehouse Replicate sat at his computer as he plugged in the flash drive while Alice looked on. "Hopefully Ryan got enough info before things went to hell." He said.
"Hopefully." Alice agreed. A few seconds later, several files pop up. "Whoa. Got more than I thought he would."
Let's hope he has the one we were looking for." said Replicate.
He looks at all the files and see several different ones. Alice then notices a interestingly named one. "Antimeta project." She read. "Click that one."
"Right." Replicate said. He clicks it and a video pops up with Professor Johnson on it. He then notices the date. "This video was made the day before we raided the facility. Let's see what he has to say." He clicks play.
"Day 27 on our antimeta project." Johnson said. "We've been working on this for over a month and I must say I don't know how much more I can take. Everyday William Tetherby keeps pushing us to finish the weapon and it's getting us nowhere. I don't even know why he wants to destroy meta humans. Several of them have done nothing wrong but Tetherby insists on working on it. We recently finished a weapon designed to destroy meta humans but it won't work. We haven't tested it but I know that it won't work because it's not science. It's insanity! But Tetherby wants results but I can't allow this weapon to be used. A couple days ago I sent a tip to a man who was well known for tackling the insane. I don't know if can destroy the weapon but I have no choice. It must be eliminated. Tomorrow I will be have a man named Isaac Mercer help me forget that I made this video but I'll be saving it under the Tetherby Industries servers and hope that whoever sees this will fix my mistake. Johnson out." The screen goes dark with Alice and Replicate staring at it in silence.
"So the weapon will be unstoppable?" Alice asked after breaking the silence.
"I doubt that everything has a weakness." Replicate said. "That weapon has to have one."
"But Johnson said that the weapon wouldn't work." Alice said. "So that pegs the question."
"What did it actually do?" Replicate finished.
At Tetherby Industries, Andrew Tetherby stood in his lab with disgust on my face. "This is why I don't do interns." He growled. "I want Project V sped up. Now!"
"Sir we are doing our best. But the only person we knew more about the project was Professor Johnson and he's dead." One scientist replied.
"I don't take excuses, I was results." Tetherby growled.
"But sir, Johnson was the genetics expert." Another scientist said. He then let's out a choking sound as he finds himself with Xander's machete sticking out of his chest before collapsing after it's taken out.
"Figure it out." Tetherby ordered. "Or do I need to make another example?"
I can offer you a hand." A voice said that no one recognized.
"Who said that?" Tetherby asked.
"I did." They all looked and see a fair skinned man with dark brown hair, wearing a black dress shirt, purple tie, black pants, green socks and shoes. "To answer your question I told the front desk that I can help you out."
"You have ten seconds to tell me who you are or else your lifeless body will be dragged across the floor." Tetherby threatened as Xander readies his machete for a kill.
"My name is Dr. X and I would like to help you out for this Project V." Dr. X said.
