First sight

"Everyone seemed to be friendly especially the guys" She speculated.

"I agree but most of our course mates are proud of a sort...like they're expecting you to approach them first" Laura argued.

"Don't be such a knuckle head girl...people have their different characters" She teased with her eyes on the note book in front of her.

"Well....I'm not a lover of too many friends so I get to selectively choose people to mingle with" Laura said frankly.

"You naughty girl...it's time for our lecture...you know how Mr Theodore behaves" She chukled as they both quickly get to their seats.

Mr Theodore was a very interesting tutor but though he was strict with his students, they all loved him and attended his classes.

"I hope we don't get to write an impromptu test today" Laura lamented as she pens down some few points on her notebook.

"Well....heaven knows what he has in store for us" Lisa replied hilariously and they both chukled silently.

Mr Theodore dishes out some series of tests sometimes especially during his happy days. He sees it as the only way to express his happiness at that moment. He's sometimes called "Mr Impromptu" by the students but no one dares say it when he's in class.

He's one of the best recognised tutors in the university but most students tend to find him mean and strict.

Lisa got a call from her mum few hours before the lecture began.

She spoke to her about the new encounter she had from a surgery at the hospital.

The patient almost died right in front of her very eyes.

The man was involved in a fatal accident that caused a bridge in his spinal cord. Though he was rushed to the hospital on time but she wasn't in the premises at that moment.

"Oh my goodness! I was scared to death....seeing him in such state" She sighed on the phone.

"Wow!...mum I'm super proud of you. Thank goodness you came in on time to save him" Lisa responded in awe.

"Yes my princess...that's the thing with my profession...it always feels as though the patient's life depends on you which is actually the case but in a more crucial way" She lamented.

"Don't worry mummy...I'm sure the man would be happy to have survived such a terrible situation" Lisa added.

"I know you must have made so many friends by now"

"Oh!....well....yes but just a few and besides I'm still trying to adjust to the new environment" Lisa replied curtly.

"I understand...soon you'd get acquainted with everything" She encouraged.

"Thanks mum...hope dad isn't giving you a any sort of stress?" Lisa teased.

"He knows his match and I barely have his time anyways" She responded hastily.

"Oh that's new....mum I have to go now...I've some lectures to attend in few minutes"

"Alright my princess....don't fail to call me should incase you need anything...okay?"

"Yes mum....love you" She said eloquently and hangs up the call.

"My mum sure knows how to start my day with joy....she's such a hilarious being" She uttered loudly as she gets her hand bag and sets out for lectures.

Frederick knew he was getting too attached to Lisa but he couldn't help but wonder how lucky he was to have such an amazing lover.

He sometimes tries to send her flowers through the school's janitor or write lovely short poems for her each day.

"I wish we weren't admitted to the same university....but how would I survive without my lovely Lisa" He muttered silently.

It was a blessing and a curse for both of them attending same university but for Frederick, it was more of a blessing than a curse.

"Wanna hang out later with the boys?" Nelson asked frankly as he interrupts his thoughts.

"I don't feel like it today...I'm feeling obnoxious" Frederick replied sternly.

"Obnoxious?...you're not being serious right now bruh" Nelson reprimanded but in a rather funny tone.

"Stop acting like a child...come have fun tonight with the boys" Nelson added.

"Maybe some other time...I'm just not feeling it..." He objected.

"It's fine...why don't you call your Lisa to come keep you company tonight...you know what I mean?" He teased.

"Get lost bruh....you jerk" Frederick replied hilariously as they both laugh at their utterances.

Nelson was a naughty guy with little manners. He hates attending lectures but prefers hanging out and partying all day long.

He was a bad influence on Frederick because he wasn't much of a party type.

Nelson was an only child to a rich family with his father's big casinos in almost all the clubs in LA, much shouldn't be expected from such an offspring.

He's one of the hottest playboys around with lots of girls at his beck and call.

Most times he attends midnight parties and sleeps off at the club with his dad's credit card.

Frederick's advice had always turned on deaf ears each time he tries to make him realize his mistakes.

"Alright then...my regards to your girl when she arrives" He whispered hilariously.

"Sure jerk" Frederick replied and laughed profusely.

He watched him leave the house with a small bag which contained some clothes probably because he won't be coming home that night till the next day.

He drove off with his dazzling black BMW.

"Oh my!...my lecture is in ten minutes" Lisa jolted nervously.

She hurriedly wore her casuals which was lying on the bed after ironing.

She grabbed her hand bag and rushed out with some books on her hands.

"Oh!...I almost forgot my room keys" She exclaimed.

Just as she got to the entrance of the school's conference hall. She missed a few steps and was almost falling to the ground when an unknown hand held her.

His hands were as soft as a lady's hair.

He had charming brown eyes that suits his handsome face and stature.

"The floors are slippery...you should be more careful next time" He said eloquently as though he was from another planet.

He's words were soothing as melodious music to Lisa's ears.

She couldn't help but stare at his charming looks but he seemed not to notice her observance.

"I hope you're okay?...miss....?" He asked politely in a sweet tone as he glanced at her beautiful face.

His eyes seemed to be captured by Lisa's beauty and he was also blown away by her presence.

"Uhmm....yes...I'm okay....thank....you...oh! Pardon my manners...I'm Lisa...Lisa Wellington" She said nervously as her hands trembled.

"Oh...I guess I have to introduce myself as well...I'm Raphael Rogers....nice to meet you miss Lisa" He spoke like a gentleman with nice eloquence that would sweep a lady off her feet.

Lisa quickly realized she was already late for lectures.

"I have to run along now...I'm late for classes already" She said shyly.

"Alright then....I'm sure we'll meet again...my lady" He replied hilariously but with a charming smile.

"If Fate would have it....bye Raphael" She responded hastily and walked straight to class but avoided making eye contacts with him so she wouldn't get him to notice her shy nature.

"She's such a beauty!" He exclaimed as he glanced at her one more time.
