You're Not Entitled to Anyone's Help

"Oh?! Then why don't you tell me about it?" Tony's face was excited, but his eyes watched Fanny's every move.

"I feel that your chair is going to break, and you will fall to the ground like a dumbass!"

Right after Fanny finished speaking, the front leg of Tony's plastic chair suddenly broke. Tony was caught off guard and about to fall forward, but the repulsors in his palm suddenly activated and stabilized his body.

Fanny felt a little disappointed. Tony's reflex alone wouldn't have made it in time. The artificial intelligence Jarvis must have helped him; he would've definitely fallen otherwise.

Tony, back on his feet, was deeply shaken. He stared at the broken chair and asked stubbornly, "How did you do that? Jarvis, do a frame-by-frame analysis. What little tricks did he do just now?"

A few seconds later…

"Sir, Mr. Fanny was only talking to you. He did not do anything unusual."

"Impossible!" Tony looked at Fanny's grin and paused for a moment before forcing himself to speak, "Alright, I admit that mages got some skill—though they're just for petty tricks."

Fanny didn't mind this assessment and simply continued, "Your armor is complete. What are your plans?"

Tony did not answer. Instead, he pulled another stool over and continued to ask, "Tell me about the Secret Magicians first. How many members does it have? Is it a special organization? Is it registered in the country?"

"I don't know exactly how many people there are, but there shouldn't be that many. It probably counts as a special organization, but country registration?! It shouldn't be registered," Fanny answered non-committedly, feeling that these were unimportant questions.

"Then what is the purpose of your organization? To secretly rule the world?" Tony continued to 'interrogate' him.

"Bah, on the contrary, the purpose of our existence is to protect the world." Fanny glared at Tony and then explained, "The Earth has always been in a perilous situation. Threats that are scientific in nature are fought against by the people of the scientific side, such as the army, Captain America, or you, and maybe there will be some mutated humans in the future."

"But the Masters of the Mystic Arts like me defend the Earth against threats that were mystical in nature. Without my Master's protection, the Earth would have fallen long ago."

"Mystical threats?" Tony stared at the wine glass in Fanny's hand.

"For example, we gather dangerous magical artifacts from all across the world or stop a dimensional invader that wants to devour the Earth."

"Dimensional invader?!" Tony could understand magical artifacts, as he had seen one, but he found the mention of dimensional invader hard to believe.

"Well, this is not easy to explain." Fanny anxiously scratched his head, thought for a moment, and said, "In any case, he is very powerful. He is an existence that has transcended life itself. If he descended with full power against Earth, just a few nuclear bombs wouldn't work."

Tony stopped talking after hearing Fanny's words. His principle was to be prepared for all possibilities, even if they might never come. He chose to believe that such an enemy really exists.

Tony's personality was actually rather similar to Fanny's in that he didn't like to trust others with his hopes and expectations. If the enemy was really like what Fanny described, then his armored suit seemed useless—it can't even survive a nuclear blast.

He thought that he almost reached max level and could protect the planet on his own, but it turns out the enemy boss was so strong that his armored suit was barely a starting equipment against it.

Fanny noticed Tony's expression and hurried to comfort him, out of fear that he would scare Tony too much, "But don't worry! That guy can't even come close to Earth with us mages here. My Master is strong; you know?"

"What if your Master isn't here?" Tony asked. He still couldn't trust anyone other than himself.

"Didn't I say that she knew the secret of peering through time? She will arrange for everything even if she isn't personally present."

To be honest, Fanny very much trusted Ancient One. He did not even want Ancient One to resign. Doctor Strange's 'deal' was obviously not as safe as the defense enacted by Ancient One. If possible, he would definitely try to prevent Ancient One's death.

Tony opened his mouth but couldn't find any words to say. He felt Fanny was a little too naïve and trusting of his Master.

"Alright, I've told you what I could tell you. Now, what are your plans?" Fanny looked at Tony curiously.

He actually sensed Tony's doubt, but it didn't matter. If he could really create an 'Anti-Dormammu Armor,' he wouldn't have time to celebrate.

But judging from Tony's future creation, 'Anti-Hulk Armor,' there wasn't much hope for him to create the 'Anti-Dormammu Armor.'

"My plan..."

Tony's eyes flashed with confusion. Although he had used the armor suit as the symbol of his hope and goal, he really hadn't thought of what to do with it.

Seeing Tony's confusion, Fanny decided to remind him.

"You can attack the terrorists. To honor the doctor who treated you before..."

"You know about Yinsen?!" Before Fanny could finish speaking, Tony suddenly stood up and interrupted him. He closed his mask and aimed the energy cannon in his hand at Fanny. "Are you with them?!"

"Is there something wrong with your brain?" Fanny frowned. He also stood up and said, "Yes, I know about Yinsen. I even know about the people who kidnapped you. I also know a lot of things; how could this prove that I am with them?"

Tony actually realized that he had jumped the gun right after he finished speaking. If Fanny had been with the terrorist, he would never be able to escape.

But Yinsen was one of the most important people in his life, someone who had sacrificed himself for Tony just a few months ago. He had never told anyone about this very private matter, so his heart skipped when Fanny mentioned that name.

However, the current Tony wasn't the kind of person who would lower his head to apologize. He simply dropped the energy cannon in his palm and asked, "How do you know about him?"

"None of your business!" Fanny said in a bad mood. No one would be happy if they suddenly had an energy cannon shoved on their face. This thing was even more powerful than a gun. If it was fired at him, it would be hard to survive without 'Demon Armor Incursio.'

He had trusted Tony, which was why he had removed 'Demon Armor Incursio.' After all, unlike the Iron Man armor, the armor consumed stamina to maintain.

Tony's action just now had broken his trust and dispelled his mood.

"Tony Stark, please remember, everyone has their own path in life, and not everyone likes their life being meddled with. Also, you're not entitled to anyone's help."

Fanny, already had his mood spoiled, didn't wait for Tony's response. He whispered a command to open a portal back to his home.

Tony was left alone in the mansion, just sitting silently. After a while, he slowly said, "Jarvis, I need a place to drink and lighten the mood. Where do you recommend?"

"Sir, your third annual benefit for the Firefighter's Family Fund is currently being held in the Disney Concert Hall. Miss Potts Is also there."

"Alright, pack up. I'm going out!"

"Excuse me, sir, but I didn't have any record of your invitation to the party!"

Tony's mood worsened. What kind of party doesn't invite the organizer? He failed to bully a mage, and now he got humiliated in front of normal people?!
