Congratulations

The room was silent as Liu Xiuying's calm gaze landed on the man who was seated across from her. After a while, she opened her mouth and said, "I know that I'm not experienced when it comes to doing this job, but I can start from somewhere. Just like those who are now experienced started from somewhere. I believe that if you give me this job, you won't be disappointed"

Mo Yanlin's dark eyes narrowed slightly. His handsome face was so expressionless that it made Liu Xiuying confused. 

If she didn't get this job, then it was over. It wasn't like she was going to give up, but for a big company like PRAD to reject her, then it means that there was something wrong with her.

If she could not get a job while she was still in college, how would she be able to get a job after she was done with college?

Her hands which were on her laps suddenly gripped her skirt nervously, her eyes never left Mo Yanlin's face, trying to get every expression he made.

However, this man didn't move an inch and kept staring at her. It made Liu Xiuying extremely nervous. "Mr. Mo-"

"Congratulations Miss Liu, you have gotten the job. Starting from next Monday, you can start working here…as my personal assistant"

Liu Xiuying had yet to digest his words when he continued, "You can meet with Assistant Tai. He will guide you and tell you what you will be doing as from Monday"

Liu Xiuying's eyes widened in surprise. She opened her mouth several times, but didn't know how to reply to his words.

Did he say his personal assistant? I'm going to be working here as his personal assistant? 

Liu Xiuying closed her mouth and gulped.

This is my imagination, right? I'm not overthinking things, right?

Mo Yanlin looked at the woman in front of him who was still shocked and his lips curled up into a smile. The way she opened her mouth and closed it was way too cute.

He knocked his fingers on the desk lightly which brought Liu Xiuying out of her trance. "Miss Liu, anything else?"

Liu Xiuying immediately stood up and bowed several times. "Thank you so much Mr. Mo. I promise that I'm going to work hard and not make you regret giving me this job. Thank you"

Mo Yanlin waved his hand, gesturing to her to leave. Liu Xiuying smiled and turned around, walked out of the room. 

Mo Yanlin couldn't stop smiling as he watched her silhouette disappear from his sight. He turned his head to look at the computer on his desk. His deep and dark eyes narrowed slightly when he looked at Liu Xiuying's picture and her information on the screen.

Mo Yanlin had told her to meet Zhen Tai as he would guide her on what to do next. Liu Xiuying did as she was told. When she met Zhen Tai, Zhen Tai looked at her, shocked. He didn't expect his boss to accept a female as his personal assistant.

But this one shocked him.

He didn't know why, but he felt that Liu Xiuying had a special place in the heart of his boss. He wondered what charm she used on his boss for him to accept her.

After Liu Xiuying left PRAD, she was still shocked. She didn't think that Mo Yanlin would accept her without even looking at her information. She was so happy that she visited a noodle shop and ate two bowls of noodles. When she was done eating, she decided to visit her father in the hospital.

She couldn't tell her dad that she had gotten a job, but she wanted to share the news with her parents. Her father would clearly disagree if he learnt that she had gotten a job.

She didn't want her father to get angry and cause him more pain. She shrugged and walked into the hospital happily.

Zhen Tai entered Mo Yanlin's office and saw him smiling. "Mr. Mo, that lady, Miss Liu, are you sure she will start working here from Monday?"

He still didn't believe that Mo Yanlin would accept a woman to work for him as his personal assistant. Mo Yanlin didn't hate women, but he didn't accept a woman to work personally for him. He was trying to avoid every unnecessary rumor that would cause him stress.

When Mo Yanlin heard Liu Xiuying's name, his smile widened. 

Zhen Tai was shocked.

I knew it. I knew something was wrong the moment he called me for that woman. I'm sure she did something to get this job.

When he looked at Mo Yanlin again, he saw that Mo Yanlin's smile had disappeared and he had his normally ice-cold look.

Zhen Tai coughed and lowered his head to read from the tablet he was holding. "Mr. Mo, you have a conference meeting at 4pm in the evening. Also, Mr. Liu asked if you are less busy this night, but I told him yes-"

"Let him come with me to the meeting I have this evening" Mo Yanlin's deep voice interrupted him.

"Okay, Mr. Mo and tonight…"

Zhen Tai continued to list his schedule down for him.

At the government owned hospital.

Qiao Liuli saw that her daughter had been smiling ever since she arrived and she found it surprising. "Did something good happen to you? It seems like you are very happy today" Qiao Liuli glanced at her daughter with a smile.

Old Liu was already asleep by the time she arrived at the hospital, so she was chatting with her mother. 

"Yeah, something good is coming our way" Liu Xiuying said with a smile.

She could not tell her mother that she got a job, but she knew that something good was coming their way.

PRAD.

Liu Chaoxiao sat on the couch in Mo Yanlin's office. He was staring at Mo Yanlin, his deep brown eyes were beautiful and attractive that it made one's heart pound loudly.

"You want something? Just tell me and stop staring. It's annoying" Mo Yanlin said, his voice was deep and had a hint of disdain.

Liu Chaoxiao stood up from the couch, strode forward and sat across from Mo Yanlin. He leaned closer, placing his arms on the desk and with his chin placed on his palm. He said, "I heard you have a new personal assistant and she is a female"

Mo Yanlin raised his brow. He paused at what he was doing and shifted his gaze towards Liu Chaoxiao's face. "Zhen Tai told you"

"That's normal" Liu Chaoxiao waved his hand dramatically, making him look like a female. "It's weird that you have a female assistant"

"How is it weird?"

"Because you have never had a female assistant and you also don't like women around you"

Mo Yanlin frowned. "So?"
