Jay turned the water to the tub off and turned to look at Everly who was standing beside him. He'd went to check on her when he heard her crying after Erin had left and found that she was running a fever. No doubt from her teething, so he'd given her another dose of Baby Tylenol and decided to give her a bath.

"You ready bug?" Jay asked as he stripped Everly out of her pajamas and her diaper.

"Da-dee" Everly whined as she stepped towards Jay and into his arms.

"I know Evie-bug" Jay said and lifted Everly up and into the warm tub.

Everly sat down and whined as she watched Jay grab the small bin of toys on the edge of the tub and dump them into the water. She leaned forward and grabbed a few small plastic animals and looked at them before holding one up to her father. "Dis?"

"That's a dog. Do you know what sound a dog makes?" Jay asked as he grabbed a wash cloth and dipped it into the water.

"Arf Arf" Everly said as she studied the small plastic black and white dog in her tiny fist.

"Good Job! That's right" Jay praised as he picked the wet wash cloth up and squeezed the water over Evie's body.

Everly smiled at her father's praise and kicked her legs before reaching for a plastic policeman and a whale and holding one up.

"Papa!" Everly said suddenly holding the purple whale up to her father.

Jay lauged at his daughter and shook his head. "That's not Papaw Hank. That's a whale"

Jay pointed to Everly's other hand which was holding the policeman and said "That one's Papaw Hank"

Everly looked at her hand and up at Jay. "No...Da-dee"

Jay nodded "And daddy too"

Jay reached for a squirt toy and squeezed some water into it before looking back at Evie. "Do you know what this one is?"

"Duck" Everly said looking at the toy in her dad's hand.

"Right!" Jay praised. "You're so smart. What's the duck say?"

Everly was quiet for a few moments her brow furrowed as she thought. "Wak Wak"

"Yes! Quack Quack" Jay smiled and squeezed the duck causing water to spit out and onto Everly's bare belly as she giggled.

"Wak Wak" Everly repeated as Jay grabbed a cup and started soaping Everly's hair and body. He frowned as he felt the slight heat coming off of her body and he hoped the medicine would kick in soon to give his little girl some relief.

Jay rinsed the soap suds out of Everly's hair and off her body and let her play for a few minutes while he grabbed his phone off of the sink and dialed Erin's cell number.

Jay sighed a frustrated sigh as the call went to voicemail and he ended the call and looked at the time. Erin had been gone for more than an hour now and he was starting to get worried. The cabin sat back in the woods and Erin didn't really know the way around well enough for Jay to feel comfortable with her out too late. Especially when he heard the thunder in the distance.

"You ready to get out?" Jay asked Evie as he looked at his daughter as she yawned.

"Mama?" Evie asked as she reached for Jay as he laid out her towel and picked her up out of the tub.

"Mommy had to go out. She'll be back. Let's get you ready for bed" Jay explained.

Everly laid down on the towel and let Jay diaper and dress her and she stood up next to him and watched as he drained the tub and put her toys away.

The sound of the bathroom door creaking open caused both Jay and Everly to turn towards the noise. Jay was hoping it would be Erin, but he came face to face with a German Shepherd.

"Kaney!" Everly squealed and clapped her hands as she walked over towards the big dog.

Kane sat down on the floor as Everly came to him and patted his chest with her hands. Kane licked Everly's face and he whined as Everly sat down on her knees and pulled him by the fur.

"Evie be easy with Kane" Jay explained. "Don't pull his fur, it's not nice. It hurts Kane"

"Ow" Everly said looking up at her father.

"Yeah" Jay said and scratched Kane's head "Let's go get ready for bed"

Jay walked out of the bathroom and flipped the lights out as Kane walked past him and went down the stairs. Jay looked behind him and watched as Evie walked after him and he reached for her hand to help her down the stairs.

"No no" Everly said and swatted his hand away.

Jay went down a few steps and sighed after a few minutes and Everly's insistance on going down the steps by herself they finally made it to the living room.

"Come on" Jay said as he walked over to the lounge chair across the room. Everly quickly followed as Jay took a seat and she walked up to her father and held her arms up to him.

"Da-dee" Everly said as Jay picked her up and put her on his lap.

Jay pulled Everly's bably blanket off of the back of the recliner and covered her up with her blanket as he started to rock her.

He flipped the light off and looked at the clock on the wall and silently willed Erin to come home.

Kim stretched and curled deeper into Adam's arms. They'd been sleeping on and off for the last hour after spending some "Quality Time" together. Kim opened her eyes and looked over at the clock and groaned when she saw the numbers read 7:30. Kim raised her head up and she rested her chin on Adam's bare shoulder.

"Adam" Kim whispered running her hand across the outline of his jaw.

"Hmm?" Adam acknowledged not opening his eyes.

Kim smiled and she placed a kiss on Adam's shoulder "We have to get up….I promised Platt we'd meet her and Randy for dinner. She has reservations for 9:00 and it's already after 7"

Adam opened his eyes and looked down at Kim "Can't we just stay in tonight?"

Kim shook her head "We can't. I mean we could, but I'm hungry and you know how Platt is. And I kind of want this weekend to be special"

Adam smiled "I can do special" He rolled over so that he was on top of Kim and he slowly started to kiss his way down her neck and shoulder.

Kim turned her head to the side to give him better access and she protested softly "Adam we can't do this…please"

Adam groaned deeply and ran his hands down Kim's sides and when he reached and pushed he knees apart so that his hips were cradled between hers. "Please beg me"

The sound of Jackson whining on the baby monitor filled the room and Adam sighed against Kim's neck. They both were quiet for a few moments to listen to what their son was going to do and they both sighed relief as the monitor soon went back to the sound of Jackson's rhythmic breath as he fell back asleep.

Adam pulled back and looked at Kim he smiled and leaned down and nuzzled her nose with his and moved off of her. Kim watched as Adam got out of the bed and pulled his boxers on, he walked over to the bay window room and grabbed Erin's robe and took it over to her. Kim sat up and pulled the comforter around her as she pulled her robe on. Adam sat down on the edge of the bed and looked over at Kim.

"I need to take a shower and get ready and we need to wash Jay and Erin's bedding" Kim told him as she got out of bed and walked over to the bathroom door."NOBODY will ever know about this"

Adam smiled and ignored her comment as he turned to face her "You know there is a pretty bad drought in Chicago right now. we should be responsible and shower together"

Kim turned and faced him "We tried that on our anniversary remember?"

Adam blushed at the memory "Yeah…who knew shower doors were that expensive"

Kim turned the water on and looked back at Adam "Well, we do now. You should probably look into going on a diet. You're getting a little...husky"

Adam's brow furrowed and looked at Kim who was looking back at him and he took off ofter her shutting the bathroom door behind him.

Hank walked up the front steps of his house and put the key in the door and opened it as he walked in. He sat his keys in the bowl on the small table by the door and he smiled when he heard voices in the kitchen at the back of the house and he stepped towards where the noise was coming from he paused just outside of the doorway and looked at the sight in front of him.

"Here mama" Noah said as he handed Olivia a plastic cup from the dish rack.

"Thank you, handsome" Olivia said as she took the cup from Noah and used the towel to finish drying it before putting it in the cabinet.

"Where daddy?" Noah asked reaching down into the clean water in the sink to touch the soap bubbles.

"He's at work. He'll be home soon" Olivia explained as she dried her hands and shut the cabinet door and took a step so she was standing in front of Noah.

"Noah, look at mama for a minute" Olivia coaxed at Noah who was still interested in the bubbles in the sink.

"Wat?" Noah asked as he looked up at Olivia.

Olivia reached her hand down and brushed Noah's dark hair across his forehead. "Noah, do you love Hank?"

Noah looked at his mother like she was so silly to ask that question. "Me do"

Olivia smiled and brought her hand down to rest on the sink beside of Noah. "Do you want Hank to be your daddy?"

Noah's brow creased as he thought about what his mother was asking him and a smile lit up his face as he kicked his bare feet. "He alweady daddy"

Olivia smiled at Noah and shook her head "Do you want to live in Chicago, Noah? Here with Hank and Evie and everyone? Would you miss New York and everyone there?"

Noah shook his head. "Me stay here, mama. Me wike it here"

Olivia nodded as she looked at her son. She thought about how for so long she'd put her career first and how things like Noah and even Hank seemed like a nice thought rather than a reality, but here she was. All the time it had taken her to get to this moment and she was happy. Ever since the little one in front of her had entered her life, it had become about him. But she was slowly starting to learn that the things Noah wanted and needed, were some of the very things she herself had needed for so long.

Hank cleared his throat and walked into the kitchen he didn't want Olivia to think he'd been listening so he held up the pizza box in his hand and said "I brought dinner"

Olivia smiled and looked at Hank as Noah clapped his hands "Hi daddy!"

Hank smiled and walked over to Noah and lifted him up off of the sink as Olivia moved out of the way.

"Hey buddy" Hank said with a smile.

"Where Ev Ev?" Noah asked as Hank sat him down at the table.

"She's in Wisconsin" Hank made a face as he said Wisconsin and Noah laughed.

"Hank" Olivia said as she sat plates down on the table.

"What?" Hank asked. "That father of hers taking her out of state and away from here. I tried telling Erin that Halstead was bad news. You see where in house romance gets me? My grandkids all spread out across the US"

Olivia sighed and opened the pizza box as Hank grabbed the three some drinks. "They're going to be back in two days, Hank and don't play the "I don't like Jay" card. We both know you do"

Hank sat down at the table and opened his beer. "I don't know what you're talking about. How was your meeting today?"

Olivia shook her head as she cut up Noah's pizza. "It was good I met with Chief Baumgartner he said there was an opening for the lieutenant position at the district. I put in for it, so we'll see what happens. If I have to go back to being a Sergeant, I'm fine with that"

Hank nodded "I could talk to George if you want"

Olivia shook her head "No. I'd just perfer you not get involved in this. Not really the place for one of your "Favors"

"Well alright then. But if you think you can work side by side with me..." Hank's voice trailed off.

"Well...maybe talking to him wouldn't be the worst thing"

00000000000000000000000

Jay pulled the door to the nursery closed and he started down the steps as the front door opened and Erin walked in.

Jay felt relief wash over him as he looked at his wife, but it was quickly replaed with anger from not hearing from her for the last two hours.

"Hey" Jay said as he stepped off the stairs and stood in his place.

"Hi" Erin said softly as she stared at the ground. "I'm sorry I got mad and left"

Jay nodded and took a step towards Erin. "I'm sorry too"

Erin took a step towards Jay as he walked towards her and the two met in the middle of the living room.

"I just...I want you to be happy, Jay. And I was wrong to try to force you into a relationship with Will if that's not what you want. I was just trying to help. It's none of my business, I get that. It's like if you were trying to force me into a relationship with Bunny" Erin explained.

Jay nodded as he looked at Erin. He was trying to hold on to his anger, but damn. She was just so beautiful and he loved her too damn much to stay too mad at her.

"You're right. I'm allowed to be mad at you" Jay said simply and he watched as Erin's eyes flickered with hurt before she downcast them and looked at her feet and simply nodded.

"But I'm not" Jay continued.

Jay watched as Erin's gaze stayed on the floor. As if she were ashamed to even look at him, and he silently cursed everyone along the way who'd ever laid the thought in Erin's head that this is how she needed to react to a fight.

"Erin, look at me" Jay said as he closed the space between them.

Erin's gaze rose to meet Jay's and she leaned her head into his hand as he lifted it to graze agianst her cheek.

"You are so complicated Erin, and I love you because of it and in spite of it. I love that you want all those around you to be happy, but the thing is, some doors are better left unopened. No matter how much we want them to be" Jay explained.

"I know" Erin sighed "I'm just hormonal. And I think about how I always worried about where Teddy was and what it took for us to come back in each others lives. And I guess, I just didn't want it to ever come to something like that for you and Will. But you're right, I don't know what's going or what went on between you and you have every right to feel the way you feel and I was wrong to make you feel different"

Jay smiled as he continue to caress Erin's cheek with his thumb as he looked at her "I called Will"

"What?" Erin asked as her brow creased.

"I called Will. You're right. I was thinking about what you said about Camille and the stuff you went through with her and with Teddy and your own family and in spite of all of that, you're so tough. You're the toughest cop, woman, mother and wife that I know and I'm so proud to call you my girl. And if you can go through all the things you've went through and be as amazing as you are, who am I to not try to work it out with my brother?" Jay confessed.

"Jay I don't want you to do this for me. I want you to do this for you" Erin explained.

"I am" Jay nodded "I am. And maybe some part of me misses Will and what we had when we were young. I just want to give our daughter..." Jay dropped his hand to Erin's small bump and continued "Our children...every opportunity to know the people who love them. And sure, it's going to take some time to get passed the trust issues, but I know my wife and I know that she's a good judge of people, so if she says to trust him. Then she can't be wrong"

Erin smiled sadly and leaned in to kiss Jay. "I love you. I love you so much Jay and I'm sorry"

Jay closed his eyes as he felt Erin's lips crash against his and he kissed her for a moment before he pulled away.

"I'm sorry too, Er. I love you so much"

The sound of Erin's stomach gurmbling filled the silence and Jay laughed as he looked down at her.

"Are you hungry?" Jay asked

Erin looked down at her stomach and placed a hand on top of Jay's that was still covering her bump. "We're starving"

"I think I can whip something together for you three" Jay said as he took Erin by the hand and pulled her towards the kitchen.

"Sounds delicious" Erin said with at smile.

00000000000000000000000

Slinging the dish towel over his shoulder, Jay took advantage of the fact that Erin's hands were deep in dish water, to snake his arms around her small waist and snug her back firmly against him. Burying his face in the thick fall of hair covering her neck he whispered, "You didn't have dessert, Er."

With a sensuous wiggle of her bottom, Erin confided, "I thought I'd have mine later." She tipped her head back onto his shoulder, further exposing her neck as he nuzzled the sensitive skin just beneath her ear, allowing a small moan to escape her.

"Are we just about done in here then?" His voice still low, Jay began to walk her backwards toward the living room of the cabin.

"Mmhmm," Erin responded, her eyes closed. "Jay, my hands are wet."

"Is that all?" he teased. He held onto her with one hand as he tugged the towel off his shoulder and draped it over her hands, steering her toward the couch. A blush crept over her cheeks as Erin dipped her head.

The fact that he could make her blush even after all these years still surprised him.

Erin finished drying her hands and threw the towel on a chair as Jay pulled her into his lap and they sat down as one. She shifted back and draped her legs over his until she was straddling him and finally… finally leaned forward just as he buried one hand in her hair to meet his lips in a searing, wet kiss.

Full, soft and warm, they let their mouths dance against each other. She wrapped her arms around his neck, snuggling in close as the tip of his tongue ran along the seam of her lips. She opened her mouth and instantly their tongues met, gliding and tangling; the heat between them rising exponentially with every thrust and kiss.

Jay's hands dropped from her hair to span her bottom, pulling her tight against the hardness between them, rubbing deliciously against her center. "Mmmmm," he groaned in appreciation as she rocked her hips against him.

Convinced she would stay put, he released his hold on her to dip his hands under her sweater. Breaking their kiss briefly he murmured, "Up, sweetheart."

Erin lifted her arms to allow him to divest her of her sweater then reached behind her to untie her apron. Jay dropped her top on the couch next to them and grasped her hands, "Leave it."

Erin smirked at him with a twinkle in her eye. "Fantasy of yours, Halstead?"

"Just occurred to me." He winked at her. "I'm spontaneous that way." He cupped the weight of her breasts in his hands, rubbing his thumbs across the hard nubbins poking through the satin and lace.

Erin leaned forward and licked the freckle on his neck. "I like the way you think," she whispered while her hands were busy between them working to unbutton his shirt. "Off," she demanded.

Moments later, with nothing between them but the frill of an Americana splashed apron, their hands roamed freely, touching, enflaming, soothing while their lips nipped and traced fiery trails as far as they could reach.

Her breath coming in short gasps, Erin groaned, "P-Please, Jay," as he slid his lovely, long fingers up under that apron along her smooth thighs to find that place that was his and his alone, slick and ready. He rubbed her, teasing and flicking the bundle of nerves there.

Erin brushed her palms across the expanse of his contoured chest and scratched her nails lightly across the flat discs of his nipples. She then followed that path down, down, down between them seeking the treasure at the end of the trail that was hers and hers alone. When she had what she sought firmly in hand, Jay grunted and let the tip of her breast, that he'd been so sweetly sucking, fall out of his mouth.

Lifting slightly and holding him still, Erin slid down, down until he was fully sheathed in her moist heat. Letting go of him then, she gripped his shoulders and threw back her head. "Ahhhhh…"

Jay's hands gripped her waist, thrusting up while she slid down, their rhythm unerring born of practice and passion. "Oh my God, Er, you feel so good."

Gasping as his tip hit that spot just inside her, she panted, "It's the apron."

He chuckled and she felt it rumble inside her as she lifted once more. They moved slowly now, savoring each stroke. She gripped and milked him as he filled and stretched her, their bodies slick with sweat and love, the apron wrinkled between them.

Erin watched his face - his familiar, wonderful, beautiful face - lost in the sensations of their lovemaking and cupped his cheek in the palm of her hand, running her thumb over his lips as she leaned in to claim them.

Jay's eyes slit open and he gazed at her under hooded lids. The sight of her so open and so abandoned to him, enflamed him and he felt himself getting close. He changed angles just a bit, thrusting a little faster as she adjusted to meet him.

"Ready, sweetheart?"

She nodded against his neck where her face had come to rest.

"Look at me, Er."

She raised her head and held his gaze, a small smile lifting her lips. Allowing him, as she always had, to guide her, she followed his lead until she felt the explosion that had been building in her, shatter and coil up her spine and down into her fingertips. Feeling her tremor around him, Jay let go, holding her still on top of him as he came inside her. She felt him pulse, setting off another series of sparks in her.

She collapsed against the solid wall of him then, trying to catch her breath. He took great gulps of air himself, his heart pounding against the soft warmth of her body. "Dessert… was… good," he wheezed into her hair.

She nipped his earlobe and whispered, "You liked that, huh?" She followed a trail of sweat with her tongue. "Want seconds?"

Jay groaned then suddenly stood, causing Erin to wrap her legs tightly around his waist. "Always," he declared.

Hours later, sated and sleepy, their bed a rumple of sheets, Erin murmured, "Jay?"

Pulling her closer as he drifted toward sleep, Jay hummed at her, "Mmmmm?"

"I kind of do want actual dessert now"

"I love this movie" Kim said as she curled deeper into Adam's arms as they stretched out on the couch. Jackson had fallen asleep during dinner with Trudy and Randy and Kim and Adam were enjoying their alone time.

"Yeah…it's ok….I just feel like Channing Tatum has done better work" Adam said turning his gaze from the TV to look at Kim.

"Adam come on…it's perfect…what's not to like?…I mean it is so romantic…he makes his wife fall back in love with him." Kim gushed.

"I didn't say it was a bad movie…I just like 21 Jump Street better" Adam said with a yawn.

"Yeah...You would" Kim smiled and stretched deeper into Adam.

Adam laughed softly "Darlin, any closer and you're going to be on top of me"

Kim tilted her head and kissed Adam on his stubbled chin. "It's not like you don't want me there"

"Mmm….well you read my mind" Adam smiled and leaned down to kiss Kim.

KNOCK KNOCK

"I wonder who that could be this late?" Kim said and moved from where she was half on top of Adam.

"I don't know but they've got some balls coming up to Jay and Erin's this late. We're house sitting. I'm within my rights to call and have them send a cop car by here" Adam complained and he rolled off of the couch.

"Aww…my poor baby…don't worry when I get rid of whoever is at the door I'll rock your world" Kim teased as she walked backwards to the front door.

"You know you always say that and somehow it never happens" Adam sighed and hung his head in shame.

"Yeah and that's why we have a son…we never have sex" Kim laughed and opened the door.

Her smile slowly fell when she saw the person on the other side, "Sean"
