The Brooks family head off to the freezing north for a visit to the children's rich grandparents. Kat really doesn't expect much from this and is pretty much indifferent until the strange sounds from outside the cabin start. Soon, she, her twin brother and best friend are out in the freezing cold and when things seem like they can't get any wierder, they do.
